Heroes 3.5 is a modification of Heroes 3. It was created by fans and introduces 8th level creatures, new interactive terrain objects, god's representatives and a whole heap of other things. You can download it from www.strategyplanet.com/homm/wog/download.shtml
However, you have to have Heroes III SoD or Heroes III Complete to run it.
Enjoy.

This WOG... does it work only with SoD? And does it alter my SoD? I mean, can I still play SoD if I installed WOG? And last but not least.. does it work with a crack?

You can still play SOD if you have Wog, however, you are behind the times, my friend. Heroes IV is out....

I'm not sure about a crack. I think, however, that WOG uses a crack itself, because you can play WOG without the CD.

This is assuming, of course, the crack is the thing that lets you run your game without the CD?

No, I'm not behind the times. I have Heroes IV, but I haven't managed to understand it completely yet. And besides, I still like H3, plus I know how to play it.

is it so different?

hi...
i am playing H3 for about two years and love it very much. I havent got h4 yet. Recently I have discovered wog and soon I am planning to transfer to h4. I saw you are writing about that. Is h4 so much different? Can you say that it is not enjoyable as h3 or I have to transfer immediately?

I'm not saying H4 is not enjoyable, but for me it's new and I just don't know yet to play it on expert like I do for H3

I think that everyone should try HMM3.5 because it features a real scripting system (just like in HMM4, and even more powerful!) It's very interesting: you can make maps with lots of different ways to victory, real dialogues between player and the game, and lots of other things. This scripting system, called ERM, is in fact the main thing added in HMM3.5 (not the new creatures, artifacts, campaigns etc.), and it's also available as a separate add-on for SoD (coming without other cool features of HMM3.5)
I think it's an ultimate challenge for those who don't like HMM4 but are bored with the SoD.

Odvin I realized the things that you had mentioned. But isn't it difficult to use that? The script has its own codes doesn't it?

Yes, and they're pretty difficult to learn and use. However, you can use the included documentation and script editor to learn the basics of ERM, and study the scripts included in the WoG maps. Also, there are a few examples on the official site http://www.strategyplanet.com/homm/wog.
P.S. I'm now making my ERM tutorial, hope it'll be easy enough to read and understand. Just E-Mail me if you want it.

I am now playing 3.5 and it is really interesting to fight with so strong creatures. But in my opinion there is problem about the scripts. perhaps it is because of my OS. in some maps some questions appear and when I click ok the programme terminates. Do any of you have an idea about that? Can it be because of scripts?

2Cane:
I don't think that's because scripts, especially if you've been playing a map included to the WoG. Perhaps that's because your OS or your hardware; WoG is very buggy game, because it interferes with the internal map & game codes.

HOMM III is my favorite game and I want to be able to play with some new things like 8th level creatures and whatnot.  But I'm not sure about WOG.  I'm not sure that it won't have any bugs or mess up my game.  I have SOD, so I know I'm able to download it.  I just need to know a bit more about the game.

WOG won't damage your SOD in any way, and it uses a separate exe file so if you're not happy with it you can go back to playing SOD with no problems at all.

Actually WoG will interfere a bit
The small pictures of attack, defence, spell power and knowledge are replaced by ones taken from HoMM2 and the picture that overlaps the minimap when it's not your turn is changed ot a shield with "In WOG we trust" written on it. I'm not sure but it is possible that some bugs will be fixed even if you play SOD(they are fixed in WoG). It is possible that some skill descriptions are changed - like artillery. Afaik there is a small incorrect passage from SoD that is corrected. Etc. There may be other small differences but nothing that can harm SoD.
