Hello to you again, Heroes players!
First of all, my concern about duels was that they would entirely replace online traditional matches, and I think that a duel is like the last 100 metres sprint of a 4 km run that involve many more things, still it is good that Heroes players are kept in Heroes world through any type of gaming, so as for me Elvin's Duel Map should last forever, one day maybe I will participate myself.
Pitty that the scenario tournament didnt have enough fans.
If I may give an example about the time needed, I am playing H6 online constantly - this doesnt mean every day, sometimes once a week or even less - and I met 5-6 players, with experience I admit, which I am usually playing to, but the settings for these games are set to last as we wish, from a half an hour to half a day (you know - map dimensions and difficulty, players number, the way you want your fight, quick or manual etc.).
And for The_Polyglot : yes, duel seems like a chess, it has a board also, pieces, gamers are moving one at a time, but the differences are that you dont have similar units, you have also a hero that can be very important, the complex strategies in chess that can be seen by very good chess players with many moves ahead (I'd compare this better with a good thinking strategical + tactical scenario that leads to final battles than to only a very big battle).
Anyway, I wish you all to play well any type of Heroes game, for me H6 seems to me more "good" than "bad" despite its bugs and everything else, especially compared to H5, random map and sim turns would have been nice and could bring back a lot of players.
