Elvin! Do you know if there is a possibility for random faction/hero in the expansion - and if no - do you know where to get the easiest overview of the factions possible hero start specialities? I will have to make my own hero generator then..

Umm, you people DO know what the racial ability of the Dungeon faction will be, right? Or hasn't that been disclosed yet?

I doubt that Vindicator
Ubi will first finish their Artwork show (2-3 weeks) maybe then. But I think it will not be before the end of january.
But based on JJ's reaction...
I bet on something like invisibility (similar to guardian angel)

+ there wont be any more dark elves in line up
+ there is a possibility to see Manticores
+ there will be a Black dragon , but it can be boss
+ most probably there wont be Hydra
+ faceless or dark elemental will be in line up
please correct me if i m wrong..

How do you know (for sure) what is core or elite ? 
For what we know, Lurkers could be elite and I also doubt both dark elf units will be the same level.

Hints from the insiders and enlighted ones (Like JJ and Elvin)
Also The faceless is most likely the 5th creature (unknown if Elite or champion)

Well, since you have introduced the topic of racial ability, here are my guesses:
1. The racial ability will not be elemental chains - we now have too much elements and since the spell schools are element-based (which was a step back, IMO), it would be pretty hard to use it in its full potential. Moreover, elemental chains is a passive ability, and all the racials seem to be active.
2. The racial ability might be invisibility, as DaveJame proposed - but I rather think, that it will be the battle ability of the assassins (or how they are called).
3. What I believe the racial ability could be is the Empowering of spells. When the racial gauge is full, the next 1/2/3/4 spells will be cast in the empowered mode. This, however, might be quite unuseful for the might heroes having only passive abilities...
And what will fill up the racial gauge? Well, there are plenty of possibilities, but it would be pretty interesting to have it filled by the use of special abilities and spells. This would make the dark elves magic- and combo-centred... which, I believe, was their way of warfare in H5.

Regarding black dragons my guess is that they will be a mini boss found in dragon utopia which may be found outside of campaign maps.
Pretty sure ( without having any inside info) that faceless is champion and that manticore is elite.
This leaves us with just 1 more elite to discover and although hydra seems logical I wouldn't put it passed Ubi to be a dark elemental or although they said 2 dark elves to be a sorceress.

They never said that the 2nd DE will be a sorceress. Quite the opposite. They said there are only going to be 2 dark elf units (Stalker and Assassin) and that the Sorceress is their iconic hero.

A first of all I wish everybody Happy Holidays, been under the radar for a while real life is to blame ...
Any way will I'm happy to see interest up for Heroes 6 in form of a addon I'm also reluctant because Heroes 6 is anything but what it was suggested to be, it even went so far as to repeat the mistakes of Ubisoft first try at this franchise Heroes 5.
Now to move on to the expansion it self ... I've tried to read all the comments in the thread so just a few things:
The hole mess with who copied who and why .... lets agree to something dwarfs are smaller man with beards because it is the common accepted portrayal by all people since Tolkien (which derived from north mythology) same goes with a a lot of races elves are graceful, orcs are brutish, goblins are ugly and cowardly now this pattern reapers in many fantasy games and literature so who copied who and why is just pointless ... now when creating the Dungeon in H5 Nival based them on Warhammer dark elves and admitted them selfs, and here comes the Ubisoft fails in the sens that trying to create a image of belonging and unity within the universe they must reuse the same inspiration for creating the new expansions setting and have little to no liberty in a original concept.
The overuse of female characters in Dungeon h5 was not that annoying just the distribution in the ranks level for a matriarchal society to have among the first units war cannon fodder females sits wrong with me and seams they repeat the same issue with the Blood maiden in h6.
I understand the need to give them a specific coloring and what not but to go out an make a purple minotaur ... well will just see the 3D model.
The lurker is a nice addition for me they strike right with the concept no objection there.
And the rest I don't see a need to speculate it will be reused stuff from H5 with just the possibility that Faceless are in as champions.
Now as a closing thought .. although excited about the prospect of a new faction and campaign, H6 has disappointed me from all regards buggy game, story predictable, characters are unilateral and badley written and just pure stereotypes, good are good bad are weird and misguided with no real character development, to few maps to keep interest you are forced to play the maps from campaign, not RMG so don't see this as being solved in the expansion.
I for on will take the same attitude I had with the DLC wait and expect for the core game to be chiseled and when the price are drop-ed and they finish up the whole "mess" that is H6 (milk all there is to be milked and and probably move on to the next installment) I will think really hard if is worth buying it or not for now I will stick with the vanilla.

I meant that sorceress could have been a possible 3rd DE unit.

It's not, though.
It's true, that the H5 Dungeon is a Warhammer Dark Elven town, no discussion about that. Two provocatively clad female units with a bdsm touch plus the Asassin and of course the Lizard Riders plus enslaved Minotaurs ...
It is also true, that nothing in the H6 Dungeon will be reminiscent of Warhammer. No Lizards, Minotaurs there, but allies, no hint of bdsm, a ranged female unit.
Also, it's a DARK Magic faction: poisoning, mind effects, harrassment and disruption of the enemy (the empowering racial theory isn't that bad, but only when Dungeon envisioning as a DESTRUCTIVE (spellpower-heavy) faction of old).
