By that same reasoning, it could also be Dark, Fire, Water & Earth. Which would make the DEs the first without the school of Air

You're right. But I think the first one is more likely because:
1. Earth is Sylvannas element. They are opposed to Sylvan.
2. Air is kind of a "destructive" school of magic, which fits the Dark elves more than Earth.

Agreed. While not completely bringing them back in favor, a double-faction expansion pack with Sylvan/Dungeon would at least have made up for some of the horrible disappointment UbiHole provided with Vanilla H6. But no. 
Love the Thuidhana wallpaper though.

On the other hand Xerox. They are as much their relatives as they are their nemesis. And also, earth is connected to poison, which is an aspect that the DE like. Boosting up earth damage would make sence to bolster Assassins and Manticoras.
And think it was hited that DE won't be so much destructiv as they were, but more focused on weakening their enemies.

Come on guys.
Nobody sees something wrong with Tuidhana’s artwork? Really?
The artwork itself is really good but doesn’t fit to the whole Tuidhana’s story at all.
I see dreamy chick fell into euphoria in a dance club. Pink/Purple hair, scanty clothing, really? That’s why I called her very fashionable in my previous post.
Where is the solid queen who disobeyed to the high elven king and waged war with elves and humans? I can’t see her. This chick looks too apathetic to be a ruler imo. Just look at her

Makes the clothes make sense to me, in every fantasy art or scene I've looked at where a ritual with a female is involved they are always scantily clad ^^

Now I understand why she is so wasted and scantily clad. She is into trance effected by the shrooms at the bottom right corner. Part of the ritual I guess.

The Dark Elves are opposed to the Sylvan Elves but they still live underground and Sylanna counterpart is Ylath, not Malassa

First that anything, yay, finally Tuidhanna art. I imagined her white/silver haired like Eruina thought
Now regarding your post, I think she's getting "corrupted" on that image. You can see that her Sylvan dress is getting "eaten" by the darkness/night-sky looking stuff and the butterflies are flying around and away from her. I she looks like if she's in your typical magic-transformation/spell channelling trance. Y'know something like this
She's also dressed lightly, but that's consistent with what we have seen both from the Sylvan and Dark Elven cultures (and seemly more prevalent in both sexes in the Sylvan one)

I guess so. Given that there must have been a half-finished Academy faction lying around from Vanilla production I did expect to see that one as first add-on and then a double Sylvan/Dungeon pack as second, but probably I was just being naïve, and frankly at this point I don't even care, I've lost since lost hope that H6 will ever be a game I'll actually play, unless someone completely remakes the game through modding (because I do like the graphic base of the game, but that's about it).

this image of elf just brought me back some memories..
and what i m going to say, is that
i still regret that Ubi chose Sanctuary over other factions..
i do understand that they try to expand the market to asia,
so they made asian-like faction..
but honestly, Sanctuary based on greek mythology, Atlantida-like
would have been soo much better, and even though
it cant compare to Sylvan or Academy!
its a shame we only got 5 factions and no elves and magi amongst them..
i know its just my opinion, but i can give thousands of reasons to back it up!

Isn't HoMM already popular in Asia (China)?
I mean, they even have (had?) their own MMO game.
I thought their "order of importance" list went something like:
1. Russia and Eastern Europe
2. Asia, mainly China
3. The rest of Europe
4. The Americas
5. Australia, maybe

Genya: I know Ylath "opposes" Sylanna. And that's an even better reason for the Dark Elves having air magic and not Earth magic. They started practicing Air magic just to be dicks against Sylanna!
Personally I love the Sanctuary asian and have done so ever since the H5 concept arts. I think an atlantean/greek Sanctuary would just have been dull and predictable. The argument that it's only for the asian markets is ridiculous considering that 1. Chinese peole apparently didn't like it for being to japanese. 2. Using the same logic, I guess Haven is an attempt to steal european markets and Stronghold south american natives markets. =P
