Which heroes from the old games do you think will return?
My guesses:
From H5
Lethos - the widely feared poison master comes back, this time as agony master.
Yrbeth - had dark magic but was useless, may get her revansch as the 40+ mana or dark specialist.
Eruina - not unlikely since she is Tuidhana's daughter and should be around at this time.
Sinitar - Eruina's opponent in a H5 single player map about the early dark elves.
Yrwanna - another widely popular hero, leads the chakram dancers.
From H3/H4
Darkstorm - his dark and shiny appearance fits the Dungeon and the upgraded minotaurs so well.
Dace - the leader of the minotaurs
Alamar - ? a popular hero we've not seen in a while.

Nah I have barely any time to play at all. But given a choice I would play Shades of Darkness before all other ones..

Busy loving Crysis 3 and Tomb Raider, great games, so glad Shades only out 2nd May. Then will give it my full attention!
@Locksley -> Think Lethos, Eruina and Yrwanna will return. No H3/H4 heroes as we're in Ashan now, unless they are timeless heroes (Sandro, Crag Hack, etc.) although I could be wrong.

Yes, that's what I was thinking about. The problem is that it has to be (mainly) elves that lead the faction and the H3/H4 Dungeon didn't have many elves, only some old minotaurs can be highlighted in the expansion. They could perhaps elfify some humans. Maybe they also let an elven rampart hero return or a sorceress from Heroes II - Luna became a Necromancer Elf. But since these old heroes don't have much history a new history must be written for the name, as with Maximus.
Here's a Nature candidate:
Blackdog - Elf
Biography: An elf with many shady dealings in his past, Blackdog is sometimes shunned by his own people. Nonetheless, he is loyal to his friends. He has traveled extensively over the years and made many interesting friends from all walks of life.
Why not?

As much as I would love to see legacy Minotaurs like Darkstorm and Dace again, I highly doubt it. I suspect the new Dungeon heroes will be mostly Dark Elves, with perhaps a smattering of Human Malassa worshippers.
With perhaps the exception of some unique-model campaign heroes, I suspect they will not force us to imagine a Minotaur onto an D-Elf-model.

I've been playing HoMM 3 with him, a good dozen years ago. 
With him, Ungoliant and Grasshopper, most of the time.
Used to be a sucker for Diplomacy and get a lot of joins. That was his favorite playing style.
Those were the days. We used to play most every night US time, which meant, me, a European, was up at half past four, and then we'd blow away, sometimes for 4 hours, until it was getting fairly late on the East coast. 4-player games were nice. Lots of talk and banter. Of course you'd play a map for quite some time, but it was fun.

He's been hiding the shadows preparing his strike, how could anyone know or care about this guy. But "his friends" obviously cares to some extent since he's loyal to them.
It would be so LOL to have a campaign with an evil mastermind called Blackdog.
When looking through the H4 heroes I realized that many backgrounds are in fact very lol. Blackdog may not be the winner.

To be honest, the only one I did not find farfetched and have actual merit to the likeness, was the likeness between the original Deleb picture and Kylie Minogue in some perfume advertisement. Which they subsequently changed, alas, as the first one was much better. All the others that have been presented in the past were either far too generic, like the Karlov-Breton one which could have resembled one out of two bald guys ever, or on whishfull thinking on part of the discoverer.
Besides, without actual pictures, what more would that be than name a generic number of random celebreties and other known people.
