These two look like elite SC2 junkies. "Awesome".
I'm not overly excited about the expansion myself, feels like too much recycling with nothing essentially new (not that something essentially new should be expected from Blizzard in the first place). Probably won't play it at all.

They patched the tempest range and reduced it to 15 from 22 quite a while ago, and brought back carriers, since they feel the 2 don't overlap in role as much anymore.
Anyway, as a terran I feel we're getting the short end of the stick with only the widow mines as new unit as opposed to the 2 zergs and protosses get. The mines are kind of horribly overpowered atm., but they are still only 1 unit.

The systems requirements are going to be higher. When you're rocking it out on an intense 3v3 ladder it can actually get pretty damn demanding on your machine. This is probably going to be the game that ushers me to buy a new computer. Playing on low graphics settings is IMPOSSIBRU!
And I'm very happy to see that carriers will be sticking around. I love me my carriers for that late game domination.
Even with the Tempest range knocked down to 15 they'll be able to bombard the enemy mineral sites from behind without ground units being able to do anything about it (other than Thors). Provides quite a tactical conundrum for the other side if they didn't keep up with their scouting duties.
The preview trailer with Kerrigan going into angry vengeance mode didn't look very exciting (Am I playing Resident Evil or Starcraft? Amirite?)

Now that I have a new computer, I'm heavily considering taking up SC2, since EA stopped multiplayer for ROTWK it has left a massive void in my PC online competition gaming, been supplementing this with LoL.

Can't wait for this expansion!
However I have a great many concerns about it. Oracle seems too "gimmicky", but I'll have too see. Swarm Host is boring, no wait zerg is boring. Brood Lords, Infestors and Swarm Hosts, really?
Terran also needs a new unit, Widow Mine is cool, but it's not enough, and Hellbat is just a, well... a firebat.
What I really like though is the Tempest, I started out hating it, but once they returned the carrier I must say I kinda like it. I will be an interesting addition to the Protoss Fleet. And hopefully the addition of both the Oracle and the Tempest will lead to more Carriers. :>
Btw, an old source tells me that HotS will have cross-realm play. So yeah, Blizzboy, prepare to get crushed!

Pretty funny for blizzard to sell a game for 200$. That is a graphical/unit overhaul for a game they made many years ago.
I mean, to take a complete game, divide it by 3, and sell each part separately for 60$.
Very clever. And it worked. I'm guessing they could literally demand 100$ and split it in more parts - and people would still buy!
By the way: they promised that multiplayer will be playable with just the vanilla. They lied. I mean, sure, you can play it, but the bulk of players will move to a place with new units and new patches, so you're kinda... screwed up.
I really hate what Blizzard is doing the last few years.

You are not wrong, however as a fan of RTS, I'm not exactly drowning in alternatives and Starcraft 2 is one hell of a good game. I have played it since it's Beta and it is still one of them best games I know. The 2 expansions will make it even more complete. Blizzard just need to learn to listen to it's communities, if they want it to survive. Starcraft 2 still have tons of stuff to fix if they want it to be the esport they want it to be.

I play random but I'm a Terran fanboy more than anything else, and I was hoping a bit more for them. That battle hellion conversion looks nice since that looks like it will give the unit some lasting gameplay feasibility. Hellions are a great harasser as it is, or for cleaning up a light-armored push, but it's hard to keep them useful later game. Even against a bioball there ends up being enough rauders in the mix that they don't perform very well, and it can be micro-overload to try to harass effectively with them in later game while you're probably busy with other stuff. You can mindlessly send them expo hunting like you would with a big ball of lings to get rid of your excess minerals, but they''re not nearly as good with taking out the buildings. Reapers aren't building-breakers anymore either.

Mostly I am psyched about the campaign. However I have this fear that Blizzard is going to make the story even more cheesy, WoL was a disappointment compared to BW, and with the Mega failure of Diablo 3 I have little confidence in Blizzard when it comes to story and story-progression these days.

Kerrigan will say "vengeance" and/or "revenge" at least 10 times, Raynor will keep being a short-sighted idiot and Mengsk will pull 10 fleets of Battlecruisers out of his ass somehow. Meanwhile the Protoss will hold rehearsals for the second expansion which will be dedicated to them and will remind some key characters that everything is pretty much going to hell. Oh yes, and Nova will probably be killed by Kerrigan (not that I mind, really - she's way more boring than she looked in the never released SC:Ghost).

One-dimensional vengeance-driven hot females are becoming a cliche in video games. If Kerrigan kissed Jim afterward and told her how happy she was to be human again, it would have been considered a major plot twist.
The trailer didn't look overly exciting, mostly due to Kerrigan's generic diatribe, but it will probably still be plenty of good fun. I very much enjoyed the format of the first SC2 campaign with the way you chilled out in the battlecruiser and could make various improvements.
edit: Speaking of battlecruisers, I know a lot of people want to see some sort of improvement out of them, but I'm not sure if that's necessary. People say they suck, but that's pretty much from a 1v1 perspective. In a team game, especially 3v3 or 4v4, if you can find a window to lay low for a little bit in the later game to start pumping out some BCs, they can be awesome. It's just that there's almost no opportunity to do that in a 1v1 unless you're opponent is sloppy. I feel like if you buffed them in some way to make them useful in 1v1, they would end up being OP in larger games. I don't know how many times people laughed at me for making BCs only to have me rip them to shreds. Get some SCVS to repair their heavy armor while they kill and it's all over.

If Mech-play were to be more viable in TvP then I think we'd see more of Battle Cruisers there. In TvZ they will never be a good choice because of corruptors, only in +30 min macrogames where terran have mass ravens to kill the corruptors.
It will be nice now when people can play 1v1 unranked, that way I can play all the races without getting crushed trying to play Terran or Zerg with my ladder ranking.

I agree to disagree but it's a bit funny because a lot of people wants the game to become more like Brood War. ^^

What's more, Kerrigan didn't mind at all to ally with Mengsk against the UED during Brood War and she had an excellent chance to kill him then, yet the political common sense prevailed (keeping the plot not-so-cheesy). Now it's just "we needed a plot device and we don't care about the plot holes".

I have prepared my body for ultimate disappointment, the story will most likely be really bad and way too cheesy and predictable. It feels like I already knows what's going to happen. :/
However as long as the campaign is fun gameplay-wise, which it was in WoL, I will be somewhat content. It just need to have more epic and conquest-like missions. They also need to be a lot harder, because WoL's mission both were terrible easy and they felt too... I dunno, "mini-game-like"?
