The best secondary skills?
As the title implies, this topic is all about secondary skills, and mostly the question:
"What is the most useful secondary skill at grandmaster level for a single hero, without creatures, thinking about both the adventure and combat map? We will regard the main skill and prerequisites at a minimum."
I think magic resistance is a possible winner, but there could be more...

Since no secondary skill can be grandmaster without main to be expert do I consider the main skill to be expert in your question?

Yes, you must consider the main skill to be expert, since that is the minimum requirement.

Well, stealth even in expert level can be devastating if your have enough numbers of low level creatures you can pass by!
You can level pretty fast as well as cover much territory!
Magic resistance is not related to the adventure map.

Summoning could be powerful too, since it gives the lone hero an army to fight with...

If the hero must stay without creatures this means you have to dismiss them every day.
Maybe you have to define better your starting question.

Perhaps I should, I meant that the hero starts alone.

So if he is allowed to get army, necromancy should rock for him!

That is, if he survives until that point.

About surviving summoning could come in handy, mainly because you will have nature magic and will be able to cast quick sand and terrain walk,so with poison arrow you can win against some armies and level up.
The summoned creatures can be fodder at the begining.

As for the magic resistance part, it might not be of much use on the adventure map (it can negate Mire yay!), but it is useful on the combat map by giving immunity to spellcasting guards and opponents. Besides, it implies Expert Combat.

I admit that resistance have something to do with adventure map.
If you want to go back to your castle for example and you are in a spot,in which the nearest creatures are fairy dragons, you can engage them in battle regardless of your battle speed and retreat to your castle.

a hero alone with no army?
maybe nature magic. possibly with stealth, but then you can't pick summoning. no one sees you coming, and you summon mantis against them
you are still quite squishy though... you would need a high level hero and many skills for a one man army, or you would probably stand no chances against units such as devils or titans...

Grandmaster Archery is pretty neat. Not only does it require Expert Combat (meaning your hero can kill most mid-tier creature stacks in melee combat), but you can rip anything to SHREDS from afar. Only certain Level 4 stacks (Dragons, Angels, Champions, DEVILS) can be problematic.
Same applies to Grandmaster Melee. My Solymr had it when I played the Order Campaign, and he was able to single-handedly KILL stacks of Black Dragons with little trouble.
