Evinin's Heroes - Second Year Anniversary

Hello to all! This is my present for the HC in order to celebrate my second year here. It’s an entire Heroes game, a work in progress, though, but I’ll try to upgrade it with more things as soon as I can. I’m very proud with my line-up and especially my campaign story that I’m still working on. Soon (possibly by the end of the week) creatures’ descriptions will be ready as well as another campaign. I hope you enjoy my work; I’ve wanted to do something like it for the Community since my very beginning here.

History
The story takes place 300 years after Heroes V. A lot has happened for those years. After a devastating eclipse the Demon Sovereign managed to cast a spell to hide the sun over Ranaar forever. The demons invaded the orcs’ lands and almost destroyed all of them. Now the realm of Sheogh covers up not only large parts of the underground but also the entire Ranaar. Using this event for their own interests the dark elves managed to prevail and take over all lands and castles of the dwarves, while they were aiding their allies. Now the dark elves rule over Ygg Chall and Grimheim. The Holy Unicorn Empire fought fearsomely with the demons and the dark elves but in the end could only save its own lands. Nevertheless the Empire’s rang was reduced to mere Kingdom again because of all of the resources and units it lost on the way. After the devastating battles many Angels turned out to be traitors so they were banished by Elrath to suffer in the deep underground where they were discovered by the dark elves and soon became their biggest strength. The new Kingdom summoned all of its allies for one last stand and Irollan sent its elves and the Silver cities – their best mages. It was all in vain against the endless forces of Sheogh and the dark elves leaded by the Fallen Angels. Irollan managed to protect its territories but dark elves attack it all the time. With secret underground passages the Kingdom and the elven realm help each other with troops but how long before the dark elves or the demons discover them? The Silver Cities, in the meantime, were overtaken by Heresh and were renamed the Silver Temples. The surviving mages fled to the islands in the Jade Ocean, where they made a pact with the last nagas. They managed to capture all of the islands and small parts of the very southeast of the Silver Temples and of Heresh. It won’t be long, though, before the necromancers fight back and the demons attack them.

Faction Descriptions (coming soon)

Creatures (stats and descriptions are work in progress)
Overall: All creatures are pretty powerful. Those with many abilities have lesser stats and it goes the other way around, too. This is in order to balance the factions, though all of them are overpowered. That basically means that none is overpowered. The battles are pretty much about speed of actions and turns and doing the right combinations – a creature can attack an enemy with 100% of its damage but it can also attack some enemies with up to 150% damage. It’s important to place your creatures based on the opponent and to know how to inflict more damage. Like I said, speed is also very important, because the enemy’s troops also have bonuses that can crush your creatures. The abilities are not that much so it’s important to memorize them in order to have the best strategy.
Creatures have basic characteristics and special abilities and both are important if you want to know well your troops and the enemy. You have to note that factions and creatures are divided into two big groups – Good alignment and Evil alignment. Of course for factions and campaigns it’s not quite like that, but it’s always valid for creatures.

Wow! =) Seems liek you already put a lot of work in this! =) And it's very nice to see a full proposal by you! =)

Before I start commenting:
Quote:
(Sorry for the second post, there was a problem and I couldn't post it in the first one)

You probably hit the lines or symbols maximum per post.

So, comments...

first, one formal criticism: I personally, would find it helpfull if you used bold and/or underlined Headwords. I allways find it easier to read then. Also, I think it would be even more ordered if you put in teh pictures as links, insteadof having them dirctly onthe page. But maybe these are only personal taste.

Now, the general impression. As mentioned, this feels liek a lot of work in it! I'm personally not so sure about the setting - seems rather desperate - and the black&white style with only good and evil - I miss neutrals a bit (maybe they'll follow later?)

Creatures

Haven
I think haven quite fine. It has a very "sacred" lineup, many religion-oriented units - or so it seems - but I think that quite interesting! Some seem a bit doubled (having 2 priest-units, AND 2 Angelic-style units), but at least for priestesses and monks it seems not too bad to me.
-Archer is classical. Corssbowmen likewise. maybe the piercing is a bit much? (logically, not gameply-wise too strong!)
-Griffin is another classic, done fine here.
-Priestess is fien as acaster to me.
-The Monk as unlimited shooter is fien as well, yet I'm not sure about adding the casting role with practically the same spells as priestess, only better...maybe other spells would be ncie here.
-The Knight...I'm waiting to here how impure they are I really liek the Nephilim as upgrade!
-Seraph is...wll ok in itself. I think there could have been better creatures for this point, though.
-Angels...are the Carrier of Life/Purity abilities passive or active? Else, these are a classic and ok as they are.

Rampart
I like the overall line-up quite much - only exception: the pegasus. I think it still a bit close to the unicorn in matters of style...
-Faerie is fine. Is there only stat chang to the upgrade?
-Winged Horse...I think the name should undergo a revision maybe, sounds so very unepic^^ Waht exactly does "hide" do? (how does it defend)
-Elf. Fine, classical, good.
-Druid. Fine, but I think could use another abilit.
-Unicorn. Good. Does the cleansing aura CLEANSE or just negate the effects?
-Wood Warrior. A classical, done in a good way, imo.
-Fire Bird. Nice to have it back again. Is Brunging ground active?

...more comments will follow, that for now.

I was in a little hurry in the morning, so I didn't bold or underline anything, but I've corrected that now and I'll do the same more, I think. About the pictures - I'm thinking of making some of them smaller and post them again.

Well, yes, the situation is pretty bad and it gets even worse. You haven't probably started reading the campaigns, but yes, it gets worse. All will end well... I think. Anyway, it's not really that much of black and white, a little spoiler - Haven becomes evil in the very beginning. About Neutrals - I'll first finish the current creatures and campaigns and then start something else. I've been thinking of making only true Neutrals, with no alignment.

Quote:

I'll think about that, maybe when I'm done with the Spells generally something better will come out.

Quote:
-Angels...are the Carrier of Life/Purity abilities passive or active?

They are active but without cool-down. All other active abilities have a stated cool-down period.

Quote:

Yes, only stats change.

Quote:

I guess not all names are quite good, I should think about changing some. I'm open for some suggestions. Anyway, Hide is like the Griffin's dive, only that it doesn't perform an attack, just fly away for a turn and appear somewhere. I was thinking that it would be more useful if it can block the Dive, though that will make Rampart quite powerful against Haven in early game.

Quote:
-Unicorn. Good. Does the cleansing aura CLEANSE or just negate the effects?

It just negates, when the ally moves away the effect comes back.

Quote:
-Fire Bird. Nice to have it back again. Is Brunging ground active?

It's passive.

Thanks for the comments, Jiriki, I've been looking forward to have some.

Edit 6: All pictures rescaled.

Thanks for the quick replies and explanations! =)

...also, I jsut read the campaigns...and tehy are...awesome!!!!!! At first, it is quite confusing, but by the tiem you reach kamala's line, I began to truly understand the impact of that. It'sall not over-logical, buthey, who cares, and I think it could be nice to play. Only downer: That there are endings reachable by play which lead into dead ends... I think tht could be quite frustrating...

The campaigns are quite like a game-book - it's basically a book when you are asked to take the choices, do different things, take different paths and not all lead to the end, actually, quite few lead there. I was thinking that if you die or fail in some other way, you can always go back and play a pretty different campaign than the one you did before until you've finally have all the pieces of the puzzle.

Whoa you really put much work into it.
My opinions on the line-ups:
Haven
Overall it looks good, but I think that seraphim is kinda misplaced, because seraphim are the highest ranking angels(sure that doesn't have to apply here, but it would make sense)
Also the nephilim is ok,even though they are evil in the mythology,if I am not wrong, but they match the faction because of their angelic ancestors

Rampart
Two horse like creatures may be too much,I think turning the pegasus into a creature with a rider would help making them more different.
otherwise I think it is a pretty good lineup^^

Palace
looks fine to me,even though I have mixed feelings over merging sanctuary and academy(it is a mix of these two factions is it?),especially since almost none of the creatures of these factions return.

Dungeon
I think the dragon should be the champion or replaced by a lesser dragon,he simply looks too badass for elite creature xD.Also I think werewolf could be champion,as werewolves are often considered archenemies of vampires and vampires are elite.

Necropolis
The skeletons should be shooters, since they don't have core shooters.
I like the reaper as a champion.

Inferno
hellfire as a creature is a cool idea, even though it could be a little bit similar to fire elementals

Overall I think more abilities for the creatures would be cool, especially the difference in abilities between unupgraded and upgraded creatures, because if they only get stronger in stats and some abilities become slightly stronger, there isn't much reason to upgrade a creature

and also because, looking at the campaign, Haven is on the brink of evil in a way, am I right, evi?

Hmm, I guess one can see it so. I, on the other hand, remember a time before sanctuary, and like the merge, I think...

I disagree, cause I don't think core shooters are necessary and it's, well - it does not feel so great imo.

I think that Seraphim aren't the highest rang, maybe I'm mistaking, I should check it.
Otherwise, it's because of the angelic relation, yes, and Jiriki is right, too - Haven is pretty much not the good guys here.

I wanted a faction more like Heroes III Tower and Heroes IV Order and a one that isn't set in the desert like Heroes V Academy. And I love the Kirin, so that explains the setting and the faction

Actually the argument about the Dragons and the Angels is the core of the Dungeon campaign (I'm going to post it today or tomorrow).

Quote:

I agree with Jiriki here. Dungeon also doesn't have a core shooter, with two elites it's fine in my opinion, three shooters are too much.

If I'm making Elementals as neutrals, I'll make sure they are a lot different.

I'm thinking about adding more abilities, yes.

Overall it looks nice
Sorry I'm not giving a full comment about each faction...

BTW, as someone who lives in Israel and therefor speak Hebrew as first language and is forced to learn about the Babel (even through I'm an Atheist):
1. Both Seraphim and Nefillim is the plural, the singular forms are Seraph and Nefill.
2. Seraph are indeed the highest ranked angels and having both an angel and a seraph as a unit is kinda odd, its like having a human as one unit and a farmer (who is a human) as another....
3. Nefilim aren't necessarily evil. They are the result of breeding between "sons of god" (aka angels) and human females, therefor they are kinda like the biblical version of demigods. Nefill is the Hebrew word for giant. They are thought as evil since many of them were hedonists who did what ever they want, which is said to be the reason for the great flood.

Thanks very much, I've corrected them. I made a mistake, because in Bulgarian the plural form is used for one creature, I have idea why. I'll think about the two Angels situation, though I would really like to have two of them. Maybe a lesser Angel.

Edit: I've added the Dungeon campaign, turned out quite nice, I think.

Edited by evinin at 17:54, 18 Dec 2012.

I've added the Haven descriptions. Sorry for the delay. I'm also posting the campaigns here, because the other posts are too long.

Campaigns – Extremely Hard (work in progress)
Let me try to explain the basic plan of the campaigns before I start working on them. There are six different stories that are connected with each other and one final story after you have completed everything. The campaigns must be completed in this order:
Good Alignment
Haven
Rampart
Palace
Evil Alignment
Dungeon
Necropolis
Inferno
Now comes the true tricky part. There are 27 different ways of completing each alignment set of three stories. That makes 54 different exits of all stories. From them 6 from Good alignment and 6 from Evil lead you to the first map of the final story. Only 9 of all of them will lead you to the second map of the final story. From those 9 different exits only 3 can bring you victory. Now because this isn’t a very good explanation and probably looks and sounds horrible, I’ve made a chart:

Daniel is the Haven character, Lesim – the Rampart one, and Kamala is Palace. Haven’s campaign has 3 possible ways of ending and makes 3 possible Rampart campaigns that have 3 possible ends and so make 9 possible Palace campaigns resulting in 27 exits of this story arc. The Evil alignment story arc has the same scheme. It’s hard to make so it will take some time, but I’m ready with some of the basics of the campaigns. I’ll add dialogs, too, and descriptions of cinematics.
Note that you can actually play my campaign by making the choices. If you want, that is. Just make the choices and read only them, then you can check the other paths.

Haven campaign – Seeking peace
The character you play with is Daniel Lightshade. He’s the only child of his father, the ruler of the west parts of the Kingdom – the Lightshade Duchy. Daniel is quite young and he’s not much of a warrior – he enjoys learning Light magic and diplomacy. He’s very surprised when the King himself sends him a mission that he must complete – a diplomatic mission to arrange permanent alliance with Irollan, because the bonds between the Kingdom and the elven realm are starting to fade.
Daniel’s special ability is Angelblessed, which raises all stats of Angels in his army with 20%.

Intro – A mission from court
“Why am I receiving a quest?”
Goal: Recruit 60 Archers, 50 Priestesses and 40 Griffins (basic creature or upgraded one). All of the army that is with your main hero in the end of the map continue on the next map with him.
Max Level – 6.
Map summary (dialogs to come): Daniel, level 3, receives the mission to go to Irollan through the secret passages known only to his family. His final goal is to convince the King of Irollan to give his daughter’s hand to King Samuel and so binding the two Kingdoms. Before Daniel goes to the tunnels, he has to gather up some army in a border town of the Duchy. Quite insecure and confused why the King chose him, Daniel hopes to fulfil his mission successfully.

First map – Don’t go too deep
“It’s great to be Angelblessed with no Angels.”
Goal: Reach the tunnels’ end before the second month. All of the army that is with your main hero in the end of the map continue on the next map with him.
Max Level – 12.
Map summary (dialogs to come): Daniel, gathering up all of his courage, ventures into the dangerous tunnels, where he fights different beings of evil. (My note: mostly core, of course, with some small packs of elite) After the quite monotone map in the passages, two choices lie before Daniel: to continue down the tunnels in order to save time, trying to find a closer exit to the residence, where he is supposed to meet up with the Princes of Irollan, or to finally go on the surface, where is the border castle that awaits him with more troops and tasks.

Second map a) – Getting cosy at the borders
“It’s great that I’ll finally do the negotiations.”
Goal: Recruit 60 Monks and 60 Impure Knights (basic creature or upgraded) and build up entirely your castle (My note: Capitol-structure is not allowed, the dwellings of Seraphim and Angels can be made, but no troops can be recruited yet) All of the army that is with your main hero in the end of the map continue on the next map with him.
Max Level – 22.
Map summary (dialogs to come): Daniel receives much praise from his new mentor – Clod. Clod’s mission is to teach Daniel more about real combat, while he’s gathering troops and fortifying the border castle. He’s given a task to scout the neighbour lands for evil beings, but he’s attacked by some elves. Very puzzled Daniel returns to the castle, where Clod tells him that the elves have betrayed them and they are forced to start a war with Irollan. Daniel, feeling bitter that he has failed, promises to himself that the elves will pay for the betrayal.

Second map b) – Not the best of ideas
“Why did I think I can be a hero?”
Goal: Reach another tunnels’ end. All of the army that is with your main hero in the end of the map continue on the next map with him.
Max Level – 22.
Map summary (dialogs to come): Daniel is quite beaten up and he’s almost without troops. Feeling desperate and full of regret, he’s not sure what to do and where to go. Luckily not long from the beginning of the map he stumbles upon some Monks and Impure Knights, who are in the tunnels to clean them from evil beings. Their brothers and comrades are in need of aid so they join Daniel who saves more Monks, Abbots, Impure Knights and Nephilims and some core troops, too. (My note: this includes fighting now elite who are threatening the Haven troops) Daniel learns some disturbing information – the Haven troops were also instructed to kill elves. Daniel manages to convince the troops to follow his lead because he is from the Lightshade family. He decides to get to the bottom of this strange order.

Third map – The true meaning of diplomacy
a)
“This is all for good… I hope.”
Goal: Capture the elven residence.
Max Level – 30.
Map summary (dialogs to come): Daniel uses all of his forces, including Seraphim and Angels, to destroy all elves in the way. With Clod’s advices he has become a tactic and a warrior and has abandoned a lot of his old ways. When he captures the residence, the elven captain Lesim stops him from taking the Princess and explains to him the true situation – the Holy Kingdom started the conflict and Daniel is being manipulated. As it seems, Lesim is in love with the Princess and will do anything to protect her even if there is no exit. Daniel thinks over Lesim’s words, trying to fight with his bitterness and his guilt. He has two choices – to order the Princess to be taken away, or to let her escape.
Exit 1 – Daniel helps the Princess and Lesim to escape, trying to undone some of the evil he has committed. When Clod discovers this, he kills him.
Exit 2 – Daniel orders the Princess to be taken away to the Holy Kingdom, after not believing the elf’s words. Lesim attacks Daniel and leaves him unconscious, managing to escape from the residence. When Daniel awakes, Clod congratulates him. Daniel stays in Irollan in order to finish his mission – to concur the entire elven realm.

b)
“The Holy Kingdom must be stopped.”
Goal: Defeat Clod.
Max Level – 30.
Map summary (dialogs to come): Daniel comes back on the surface only to find the Holy Kingdom and Irollan at war. Destroyed by the thought that it’s his fault, he hears word quickly to the border castle, where someone named Clod is supreme. He has a choice either to reveal his presence and join Clod, or rethink the situation and go to the residence. (My note: this choice is made before the goal is stated)
Exit 1 – Daniel, apparently being naïve, goes to the border castle, where Clod kills him without thinking twice, because there is no need of Daniel anymore and he knows too much.
Exit 2 – Daniel rushes to the residence and along the way suddenly Seraphim and Angels who have felt his blessed aura, join him and abandon Clod. In the residence he is chained and brought to the elven commander Lesim. After hearing his story Lesim believes him and allows Daniel to stay and help. To prove his loyalty, Daniel defeats the corrupted Clod, but he escapes from the battlefield.

Endings:
1 – Daniel’s disgracefully killed and not even buried after that. He is declared traitor to the Kingdom.
2 – Daniel’s awarded the newest land in Irollan and he starts ruling with Clod as his right hand. The Princess is sent to the Capitol. Daniel loses his Angelblessed ability.
3 – Daniel’s declared traitor to the Kingdom and the stays with the elves. Not feeling as guilty as before, he hopes that the presence of the Angels means he is on the right path.

Rampart campaign – Nature fights back
The character you play with is the elven captain Lesim. His main task is to fight the Haven forces in the new war. He a skilled tactic and warrior, a master archer and has many elves royal to him. He would do anything in order to protect Irollan. The started war has enraged him greatly and he promised to himself to do everything, even the impossible, to save the realm. If Daniel’s dead, it doesn’t change Lesim’s campaign at all. If Daniel took Princess Clemens, then Lesim is ever more devastated and hates Daniel and his fights are mostly with him. If Daniel’s on his side, they work together in order to protect the Princess.
Lesim’s special ability is Elven Captain, which gives all his elves a second shot after the first one in battle and doubled ammunitions.

First map – A mere forest walk
“There are too many humans for my likings.”
Goal: Reach the Capitol of Irollan in two months. All of the army that is with your main hero in the end of the map continue on the next map with him. (My note: some core troops join you every week)
Max Level – 12.
Map summary (dialogs to come):
1. Lesim, level 6, heads to the Capitol of Irollan with the Princess as quick as he can. It’s clearly visible he has strong feelings towards her. The Haven commander Clod is doing everything to stop them on their way but in the end they manage to reach the Capitol. (My note: if Clod catches up with Lesim, the map is failed)
2. Lesim, level 6, heads to the Capitol of Irollan to report as quick as he can. Fighting with his crave for personal revenge on Daniel, he has to run from him for the moment because his army is no match. Lesim suffers for losing Clemens and for failing the King. This makes him bitter and changes his personality. (My note: if Daniel catches up with Lesim, the map is failed)
3. Lesim, level 6, heads to the Capitol of Irollan with the Princess and Daniel as quick as he can. It’s clearly visible Lesim has strong feelings towards her. On the way he befriends Daniel and helps him learn some useful tactics and skills. The Haven commander Clod is doing everything to stop them on their way but in the end they manage to reach the Capitol. (My note: if Clod catches up with Lesim, the map is failed)
In the end of each variation there are two choices for Lesim: to return and fight on the borderline, or to stay and protect the Capitol.

Second map a) – The best defence is to attack
“I don’t really care about the elven ways anymore.”
Goal: Recapture three Rampart towns. All of the army that is with your main hero in the end of the map continue on the next map with him. (My note: some elite troops join you every week)
Max Level – 22.
Map summary (dialogs to come): Lesim gives his best to save the elven lands from the Kingdom but some dark elves attack him as well. Struggling with the war and with himself, Lesim is starting to lose his ideals, cracking under the pressure. If Clemens is in the Capitol, he worries about her and misses her much and if Daniel is there as well, he’s starting to miss his new friend, too. If the Princess is taken by the Kingdom, Lesim is even more changed and fearsome, trying to find and kill Daniel. After he successfully recaptures the towns and lightens up a little bit, comes a word from the Capitol – it has been taken by Clod (if Daniel’s dead or an ally) or by Daniel (if he fights for the Kingdom). The King is dead and the Princess (if not already taken) has been taken away. If Daniel was there, his fate is unknown.

Second map b) - The last elven stand
“While there is nature, elves won’t perish.”
Goal: Fight back from the Capitol and last enough to recruit 60 Enchanters, 50 Unicorns and 50 Wood Warriors (basic creature or upgraded).
Max Level – 22.
Map summary (dialogs to come): Lesim gives his best to protect the Capitol. He’s being attacked by Haven troops as well as by some dark elves. If Daniel’s an enemy, he is the one attacking the Capitol. Lesim is fearsomely fighting against him and he feels bitter and desperate. If Daniel’s death or an ally, Clod is attacking the Capitol and Lesim isn’t feeling so bad - at least Clemens is still well and in the second case Daniel is keeping him company and the friendship between them strengthens. Word comes from the borders – the King has been killed. In the end the Capitol is taken anyway. Lesim manages to flee. The Princess is taken away (if not taken already). If Daniel’s an ally, his fate is unknown.

Third map – No more chances
a)
“A cruel king is better than no king at all.”
Goal: Fortify at maximum the three recaptured towns in order to make a new Irollan.
Max Level – 30.
Map summary: Lesim, devastated and at the brink of a total collapse, has a choice in the beginning – to rush back to the Capitol or to start acting as the new King of Irollan. Confused and lost, desperate and alone, he doesn’t know how to act. Despite that he finds the inner strength and makes a choice. (My note: this choice is made before the goal is stated)
Exit 1 – Lesim rushes to the Capitol but he’s killed in an ambush on the way.
Exit 2 – Lesim stays and manages to protect his lands from the attacks. He is entirely changed and has lost everything that used to make him what he was. The loss of Clemens broke his heart and of course not only that – he has failed his entire life mission. He does his best to hold on and supresses his emotions deep inside. He stops believing in nature and the elven ways, he’s planning to make the new Irollan a lot more different than the previous one.

b)
“One day I will avenge Irollan.”
Goal: Last enough to gather around the map 20 Fire Birds (basic creature or upgraded) and attack Clod/Daniel. (My note: based on the pervious events)
Max Level – 30.
Map summary (dialogs to come): Lesim, devastated and at the brink of a total collapse, has a choice in the beginning – to run away as far as he can and then try to form some alliances, or to start gathering army so he can attack Clod/Daniel, while his troops are not that strong. Confused and lost, desperate and alone, Lesim doesn’t know how to act. Despite that he finds the inner strength and makes a choice. (My note: this choice is made before the goal is stated)
Exit 1 – Lesim tries to escape the borders of Irollan but he’s killed in an ambush on the way.
Exit 2 – Lesim manages to keep a low profile enough time to gather up those Fire Birds. With some other escaped elves he ambushes Clod/Daniel but he fails and he’s caught by the enemy. Devastated and with nothing left to lose he attacks with bare hands Clod/Daniel but he ends up with a broken leg and becomes a laughing stock. He’s taken to the dungeons of the ex-Capitol, where he’s chained and has to wait until they head back to the Kingdom. There he’ll be taken for trial. Clod/Daniel mocks him and humiliates him even more leading the Princess into the dungeons to see him. Lesim wipes a tear as she’s taken away.

Endings:
1 – Daniel’s dead from the previous campaign. Lesim faced the same fate, killed in the forest, his body was never found and it wasn’t actually looked for.
2 – Daniel’s dead from the previous campaign. Lesim is now King of the new Irollan and fights fearsomely against the Kingdom in the face of Clod. Lesim loses his Elven Captain ability.
3 – Daniel’s dead from the previous campaign. Lesim is chained in the ex-Capitol’s dungeons, waiting helplessly for his fate.
4 – Daniel’s destroying more and more elven lands and towns. Lesim was killed in a forest, his body was never found and it wasn’t actually looked for.
5 – Daniel’s destroying more and more elven lands and towns. Lesim is now King of the new Irollan and fights fearsomely against the Kingdom in the face of Daniel. Lesim loses his Elven Captain ability.
6 – Daniel’s destroying more and more elven lands and towns. Lesim is chained in the ex-Capitol’s dungeons, waiting helplessly for his fate.
7 – Daniel’s fate is unknown. Lesim was killed in a forest, his body was never found and it wasn’t actually looked for.
8 – Daniel’s fate is unknown. Lesim is now King of the new Irollan and fights fearsomely against the Kingdom in the face of Clod. Lesim loses his Elven Captain ability.
9 – Daniel’s fate is unknown. Lesim is chained in the ex-Capitol’s dungeons, waiting helplessly for his fate.

Palace campaign – Cleansing the plague
The character you play with is the extremely ambitious young mage Kamala. Her exotic looks (scaled skin) made her easily recognisable around the mages’ society. Others in high positions, envious of her great successes in Water spells, have given her a mission to go directly into the lands of the necromancers to fight them. The cold and clever Kamala decides to show those old idiots how strong she can become and she is sure that she’ll teach those horrible necromancers a lesson. Happy that she’ll finally leave the islands, she heads to the unknown.
Kamala’s special ability is Half-Naga which raises all stats of her Nagas with 25% and their attack deals 5% additional water damage.

First map – Going ashore
“It’s good to finally escape those cursed islands.”
Goal – Reach the shore in two months with at least 100 Spirits, 70 Summoned Beasts and 60 Magicians (basic creature or upgraded) and take the Necropolis port and commit a rite to purge it. All of the army that is with your main hero in the end of the map continue on the next map with him.
Max Level – 12.
Map summary (dialogs to come): Kamala, level 6, travels with her newly gathered army to the lands of her ancestors. The Consul of mages gave her the mission to cleanse some of the most distant lands of the Silver Temples. She feels confident in herself and tastes the certain success. Her troops don’t like her very much but she doesn’t seem to care about that or anyone’s approval. In the end there is a choice before her: to settle down and fortify her town, or to go deeper in the necromancers’ lands and take more towns.

Second map a) – Rotting bones
“These abominations depress me.”
Goal: Fortify your town at maximum and last enough attacks to recruit 60 Nagas and 60 Djinns (basic creature or upgraded). (My note: Capitol-structure is not allowed, the dwellings of Sphinxes and Kirins can be made, but no troops can be recruited yet) All of the army that is with your main hero in the end of the map continue on the next map with him.
Max Level – 22.
Map summary (dialogs to come): Kamala’s moral and confidence start to fade. In the devastated, dead lands of the necromancers she feels uneasy and gets more and more nervous. It’s revealed that she cares only about her father’s honour and she doesn’t want to let him down, though he doesn’t even like her, she being more human than naga. With no mines around, she has to scout to find resources, and with the necromancers constantly attacking her, she’s starting to grow tired. Her mentor there becomes the powerful mage, sent by the Consul, Zira. Slowly Kamala’s temper is beginning to soften and she’s turning into something more likable for the Consul.

Second map b) – Cracking bones
“Necromancy is magic, too.”
Goal: Take three Necropolises and commit a rite to purge them. All of the army that is with your main hero in the end of the map continue on the next map with him. (My note: some Nagas and Djinns join you every week)
Max Level – 22.
Map summary (dialogs to come): Kamala’s fearsomely destroying every undead she stumbles upon. She feels more and more confident and somewhat fascinated by the necromancers. It’s revealed that she cares only about her father’s honour and she doesn’t want to let him down, though he doesn’t even like her, she being more human than naga. Capturing the final Necropolis, she chains the lesser undead lord Gareth, who turns out to be a lich as well. Kamala decides to let him go and to use him as an advisor – an act that makes her troops to hate her even more.

Third map – The Silver Temple
a)
“The dead must die again.”
Goal: Take the three Necropolises and the first Silver Temple.
Max Level – 30.
Map summary (dialogs to come): Kamala’s hatred towards the necromancers is becoming even greater. With Zira constantly watching over her and teaching her Light magic, Kamala developed a phobia from the undead and promised herself to do everything in order to destroy them. When she captures the last Necropolis before the Temple, the lord there kills Zira. Enraged at the brink of madness Kamala kills him immediately. When she captures the Temple, the High Necromancer tries to convince her that mages and necromancers shouldn’t fight. He confesses that he has been a mage himself, but turned to Necromancy. There is a choice before Kamala: to let the necromancer live, after being convinced by his words, or to kill him and purge the Silver Temple back into a Silver City.
Exit 1 – Kamala leaves the Silver Temple, driven by her confused mind. Lost in the deep woods, all alone, she sees undead everywhere. After going totally insane and devastated thinking about the shame she has brought to her father’s name, Kamala commits suicide.
Exit 2 – Kamala kills without second thought the High Necromancer and purges the Temple. She starts to rule from there as the first High Mage. Though her power, she now listens to the Consul in respect of Zira. Having nightmares every night, Kamala dreams of destroying every single necromancer.

b)
“I carry the true silver and soon everyone will see it.”
Goal: Fortify at maximum one Necropolis and one Palace town. Recruit 50 Sphinxes and 20 Kirins (basic creature or ungraded). Reach the first Silver Temple.
Max Level – 30.
Map summary (dialogs to come): Kamala listens to Gareth’s advices and fortifies a Necropolis as well. With that act not much necromancers attack her but the mage Zira has been sent to stop her strange deeds. Kamala starts learning Dark magic under the guidance of Gareth. When she heads to the Temple, Zira catches up with her and demands explanation. After seeing Gareth and the undead troops around, Zira attacks them without waiting for an answer. When they defeat her, she sends a powerful magical attack in order to kill Kamala. Gareth gives his life to save her and the saddened Kamala acts irrationally, killing Zira. When she reaches the Temple, she has two choices: to regret her deeds and stop herself before she does more evil, or to pledge her troops and her life to the High Necromancer.
Exit 1 – Kamala is horrified of what she has done and of the shame she has brought to her father’s name. Images of Zira’s death haunt her and she escapes in the woods, where guilt and confusion destroy her sanity and she commits suicide.
Exit 2 – Kamala is taken as an apprentice of the High Necromancer and they soon find they share the same ideas – that mages and necromancers need to unite. Kamala promises to herself that she’ll do her best to reach that goal and she starts practicing Necromancy alongside her Water magic.

Cinematic 1
It’s midnight and Lesim is lying on the floor of his cell. Tomorrow he’ll be taken as prisoner to the Capitol of the Kingdom where he will be probably executed. Footsteps are heard and the door’s being unlocked.
Lesim: What do you want from me?
Daniel: I’ve come to free you.
Lesim: You are not funny, human.
Daniel: I’m not trying to be. I’m going to approach you slowly, don’t try anything. I’ll unlock your chains and give you a map of the secret tunnels. Run far away from Irollan and the Kingdom, Lesim.
Lesim: I don’t understand why you are helping me.
Daniel: I’ve been asked by a noble lady to do it. I also respect you, but that’s another thing.
Lesim: Clemens has asked you for this? Why would you listen to her?
Daniel: I have my reasons. You better run fast, Lesim, I’ll have to hunt you down tomorrow.
Lesim: I won’t thank you.
Daniel: I don’t want your gratitude.
Daniel frees the elf and quickly steps back with his sword up. He heals Lesim’s leg with Light magic and slowly exits the cell. Lesim waits a while still shocked and then makes a run for it.

Kamala’s troops are burning undead bodies. She’s standing near them, silently watching. There’s a tunnel entrance nearby that she’s planning to check for enemies later. A noise is heard and someone comes out of the tunnel. Kamala grabs her staff and runs towards it ready to slay another undead. To her surprise she finds a wounded and tired elf. Kamala orders he to be taken in the City for questioning.

Kamala is having a walk not too far from the Temple. She hears painful noises and quickly finds an entrance to underground tunnels. There is lying a wounded and tired elf, who can barely walk. She helps him to stand up and heads back to the Temple with him.

Cinematic 3
Kamala’s troops are burning undead bodies. She’s standing near them, silently watching. There’s a tunnel entrance nearby that she’s planning to check for enemies later. A noise is heard and someone comes out of the tunnel. Kamala grabs her staff and runs towards it ready to slay another undead. To her surprise a human who is not looking too good, comes out of the tunnel.
Daniel: Stop! Don’t attack me, I mean no harm!
Kamala: Oh, really, so you just happen to pass by? You are an ally of the necromancers, there is no doubt! Guards, arrest him and take him for questioning in the City!
Daniel: No, you are making a mistake, whoever you are! Please, noble lady, I’ve been down those tunnels for weeks, listen to me, I’m trying to reach the mages’ islands!
Kamala: Luckily for you, you are in mages’ lands already, filthy traitor!
Kamala stuns Daniel with a spell before he is able to explain himself. Her troops chain him and take him away.

Cinematic 4
Kamala is having a walk not too far from the Temple. She hears noises and quickly finds an entrance to underground tunnels. Out of it comes a human who is not looking too good. Kamala rushes to help the human stand on his feet because he looks tired and weak.
Daniel: Thank you very much, but I think I can manage.
Kamala: There is no need to act like you are not in pain, it is visible. Do not worry; no harm is going to come to you.
Daniel: Please, I’m in a hurry. I need to find a port and to reach mages’ lands. I’ve been in those tunnels for weeks, I can’t delay much further.
Kamala: You are not capable of doing anything in your condition. Sit here, have some water. Why do you need to find the mages? Where are you from? Actually, who are you?
Daniel: I’m Daniel Lightshade… At least I was a Lightshade. That doesn’t matter now. Irollan needs help, the mages must aid Irollan… King Lesim… I can talk to him, he will except help…
Kamala: Come down, come down. I will arrange you a meeting with the High Necromancer, he might be able to help you, Daniel.
Daniel: You are a necromancer?! Stay away from me!
He tries to run but falls in the dust. Panting, he doesn’t seem capable of getting up. Kamala sighs and despite Daniel’s curses and tries to escape her, she helps him to the Temple.

Cinematic 5
It’s midnight and Lesim is lying on the floor of his cell. Tomorrow he’ll be taken as prisoner to the Capitol of the Kingdom where he will be probably executed. Footsteps are heard and the door’s being unlocked.
Daniel: Lesim, pssst. It’s me, Daniel.
Lesim: It can’t be! I thought you were dead, friend, how did you find me?
Daniel: I’ve escaped into the tunnels; I’ve come to know them quite well. There are some troops there still loyal to me; they’ve helped me all they can, giving me some food and water. I have the key in me, though it wasn’t easy to get it.
Lesim: You have no idea how grateful I am but Daniel, you shouldn’t have done all of this, you may get caught as well and be executed.
Daniel: Friends have to help each other, right? Come on, I have a plan.
Daniel unlocks Lesim’s chains, heals his leg with Light magic and they make a run for it.

Lesim: Do not harm us, mage! We come as friends, seeking your aid. Lower your staff!
Kamala: You really think I will buy that? Two refugees lurking around… You must be spies of the necromancers! Guards, arrest them and take them to the City for questioning!
Daniel: Please, listen to him, Irollan needs your help!
Lesim: Don’t do this, my friend isn’t well! Take me as prisoner, but heal him!
Kamala: I don’t want to listen to these deceives! I will hear what both of you have to say later!
Kamala stuns them with a spell and her troops chain them, taking them away.

Kamala: A strange company for a walk in the tunnels.
Lesim: This is no walk, we have our mission.
Kamala: Calm down, elf, I wasn’t serious. What has happened to you and your mate?
Daniel: We must find the mages… Irollan could still have a chance, if we reach the islands…
Kamala: You better not talk, human, here’s some water. Why are you looking so bad? Who are you both and why do you seek help, what has happened to Irollan?
Lesim: If you lower the speed of your questions, I might be able to answer. He has wasted a lot of Light magic to keep me well, too much, I fear. Please, if you can help him, I will be eternally grateful. He is my friend and has saved my life so we can seek help from the mages. Irollan has been taken, something must be done.
Kamala: I see. I will talk with the High Necromancer; he might be able to help you in your cause.
Daniel: You are a necromancer?!
Lesim: You better stay back, I still have enough strength to kill you, monster.
Kamala: Let’s cut the stupid talks and get going, shall we? No mage is going to help you just like no necromancer here will do you any harm.
Lesim: And what are you? A naga? A mage? A necromancer?
Kamala: I’m just Kamala, a friend.
After that she helps Lesim to carry Daniel to the Temple. They don’t speak along the way, but Kamala knows that sometimes gratitude doesn’t need words.

Dungeon campaign – Black feathers, black scales
The character you play with is Damien, called the Cave Sparrow because of his heritage – his father was some elf from the surface and his mother was a dark elf. Damien is keen in Dark magic and he makes quite good battle strategies. He is said to be the favorite of the Supreme Angel, though his position about him-her is not sure enough. Being a deep worshiper of Malassa, he’s trying to balance things when he gets orders from the Supreme. He has a wife whom he loves very much, and a daughter was born to him not too long ago. That’s why he’s quite unhappy the Supreme sends him to fight the armies of the Kingdoms that think their little walks in the tunnels are unnoticed.
Damien’s special ability is Lightstealer Blade which benefits all of his creatures with Evil alignment and so they deal 5% additional Dark damage.

First map – Lurking in the dark
“I really do not understand why I have to do this.”
Goal: Recruit army and defeat the two Haven and the two Rampart heroes in two months.  All of the army that is with your main hero in the end of the map continue on the next map with him.
Max Level – 12.
Map summary (dialogs to come): Damien, level 6, accepts his task not without regret and hesitation. In times like this he often wonders what it could have been if he didn’t live in the underground. He pursues the enemies’ heroes and captures them. When interrogating them in the end, he finds out almost everything there is to know about the war between Irollan and the Holy Kingdom. He understands what an opportunity is this for the dark elves, but remains silent, remembering how a few weeks ago he let a wounded elf/a wounded human/a wounded elf and a human to past his post. When he receives a second order from the Supreme, he feels disgusted. The Angel wants from him to decapitate publically the heroes. Hesitating, he feels that after all he has a choice – he could refuse and face the consequences – probably being hunted down as a traitor, or he could just do what the Angel wants.

Second map a) – Growing wings
“I’m becoming a monster myself.”
Goal: Captured the two rebelled Caverns and defeat the rebel. All of the army that is with your main hero in the end of the map continue on the next map with him. (My note: Angels and Dragons can’t be recruited)
Max Level – 22.
Map Summary (dialogs to come): Damien, after executing the brutal order, has been sent by the Supreme to stop an on-going rebellion. Hardening his heart and thoughts, he convinces himself that that is the best way for him and for his family. Damien dislikes deeply the Supreme Angel and actually all Fallen and Dark Angels because he doesn’t think they belong in the dungeons. He fights with his personal feelings and completes his task. After he kills the rebel, a messenger comes seeking him. He tells him that his family has been killed by Dragons because they were the main weapon of the rebellion. The shocked Damien is speechless from pain and hate. With nothing left to lose, he travels with the messenger to the Cavern of the Supreme.

Second map b) – The rebel in the Underhaven
“I’ll rip that Angel’s wings feather by feather.”
Goal: Capture at least two Caverns and fortify them at maximum. (My note: Angels and Dragons can’t be recruited) Recruit 200 Silent Killers, 170 Cursed Wolves, 170 Chaos Lizards, 60 Gorgons and 60 Dark Casters (basic creature or upgraded). All of the army that is with your main hero in the end of the map continue on the next map with him.
Max Level – 22.
Map summary (dialogs to come): Damien becomes a rebel, or how he likes to call himself – the rebel in the Underhaven, though his troops and allies still call him the Cave Sparrow. His goal becomes to defeat and banish the Supreme Angel and to return the supreme power back in the hands of Malassa’s children. He quickly sends word to his family to join him, being afraid that they might get hurt. Rumors are the Supreme wants to have Damien’s head at all cost. He-She feels betrayed and will do his-her best to get revenge on him. Even though the rebellion isn’t crushed, a messenger comes and informs Damien that his family was slathered by the Angels. With his heart crushed, the elf realizes that he no more has anything to lose. His goal now becomes a little bit different – personal revenge.

Third map – Pieces of the enemy
a)
“Forgive me, goddess.”
Goal: Find the artifact Malassa’s scale, use it to gather at least 70 Ruby Dragons (basic creature or upgraded) and defeat the Boss Abyss Dragon.
Max Level – 30.
Map summary (dialogs to come): Damien visits the main Cavern when he finally meets in person the Supreme Angel. He-She gives him one last mission to achieve the greatest glory and to become his-her second hand – to find one of the scales of the goddess herself and use it to attract Dragons with it no matter that they refuse to serve the Supreme. After that he-she asks for something even more bizarre and sacrilege – to defeat the last true child of Malassa so Angels may rule the dark elves without any more problems. When Damien defeats the Dragon and it lies almost dead, the Angel commands the elf in his mind to decapitate the Dragon. Remembering those heroes, Damien hesitates and when he thinks what the goddess will feel, he becomes even more desperate. He knows that refusing will bring him death, but he still thinks about it and makes a choice.
Exit 1 – Damien refuses to slay the Dragon and tosses away his blade. The Angels in his army immediately kill him on the spot. When he feels the blood coming out of him before he lays dead, he only hopes that the goddess will forgive him.
Exit 2 – Damien cuts the Dragon’s head and its blood spreads all over him. Holding so tight the Scale in his hand that it gets bloody, too, he falls on his knees begging for forgiveness but his prayers are not heard. Heat explodes in his body, his skin starts to fall and in his agonizing pain he understands what the punishment will be. Becoming one with the Scale, he also becomes a dragon-like creature, not an elf, not a child of Malassa, but an abomination to both. Seeing the images of his lost family, he feels how his will is being torn away and he soon becomes no more than a minion of the Supreme.

b)
“Leave the darkness, corrupted lights.”
Goal: Find the artifact Feather of the Fall, use it to gather at least 40 Fallen Angels (basic creature of upgraded) and defeat the Boss Supreme Angel.
Max Level – 30.
Map summary (dialogs to come): Damien starts seeking the first feather that fell from the first Angel to be sent in the underground. That artifact gives him the power to attract and control Fallen Angels though they refuse to serve him otherwise. Gathering an enormous army, he has promised the dark elves that he will free them from the Supreme and Malassa’s children will rule once more. He makes a promise to himself, too, that in the name of his dead family, he will be the one holding the blade when the Supreme dies. After the hard task of defeating him-her, he pronounces the sentence and he’s ready to execute it. The Angel looks at him, with all of his-her beauty and power, and Damien hesitates. Wouldn’t it be enough just to cut his-her wings? He thinks of those heroes that he couldn’t decapitate because he wanted to oppose the Angel’s ways. If he kills him-her, then all of his deeds, his family’s death, will not lead to a different end. He makes a choice.
Exit 1 – Damien decapitates the Angel with a single blow. His-her head rolls in the elf’s legs, his-her blood being everywhere, glittering with silver. The Feather disintegrates in the air, leaving a grim feeling. When Damien turns around, he finds himself surrounded by Angels, ready to do their vengeance. The elf understands that he has made a mistake and that the Angels will continue their rule. When he feels their blades and the taste of his own blood, Damien only prays he’ll see his family soon.
Exit 2 – Damien cuts the Angel’s wings and his-her scream echoes in the tunnels. The Supreme’s silvery blood covers up the elf as he feels a destructible pain in his entire body. He hears the rebelling elves who are coming to aid him and signs with relief only to find out that the Angel is laughing. He-She points at him at the brink of a hysteria and Damien realises the joke. The Feather has merged with his body, leaving him with a pair of black wings. The elf understands what will happen when his own troops see him. He flees in the tunnels but before that he witnesses how the Supreme grows back his-her wings with ease and continues to laugh. He-She tricked him in the worst possible way – making him become what he hated the most.

Endings:
1 – Damien has been killed by the Fallen Angels and he fails in his quest, only hoping that he will see his family again after death.
2 – Damien becomes a dragon-like creature after being punished by Malassa for killing her child. The Supreme, now disgusted by him, sends him to fight against the Silver Temples – the first step in his-her plan to rule over the entire Ashan and take revenge on Elrath. He loses his Dark Blade ability.
3 – Damien becomes an angel-like creature after being tricked by the Supreme. He manages to leave the underground and to see light for a first time in years. Feeling weary and destroyed, he wishes that the light could just end his life. Going without goal or direction, he soon finds himself in the lands of the Silver Temples. He loses his Dark Blade ability.

(some cinematics of the previous heroes to come before the Necropolis campaign, other Evil alignment coming soon, Final campaign coming soon)
