I bet ya dArGOn does a quick shoulder check anytime he replies to a post by me - has to make sure there's no spiders on his back!!

Talking with Yawacko about the list Cat first made, he brought to mind another staple of my life in the 80's - The movie Wierd Science! In highschool we'd rush to my friends place to watch that movie over and over.. to this day i still have the entire script memorized.. gawd we loved that movie *sigh*

pssst: dArGOn!!

hehe

Teenslashers

Handsome boy and his buddie the boy with glasses(in a Mustang): Hey girls, we are going to a summer camp (to die) would you like to come with us?

Beatiful girl and the girl with the glasses: (giggles) YES

*They ride towards this summer camp(Summerville?!?! ), listening to heavy metal-glam They leave the main road and enter an isolated and stabilised road. On their way, they see a cottage. In front of the cottage is an old man sitting on a rocking-chair and smoking a pipe (I dunno if this is the right word for that kind of chair, but my dictionary claims so) They stop and get out of the car.

Handsome boy: Hi sir. We are looking for Summerville camp. Can you please direct us?

Old man: Noone has entered that camp since 1950 !!! (OR) Whoever enters that camp can't get out alive !!!

(as if he was asked that)

*They ignore the warning of the old man and start driving again. We watch the car going from inside some bushes or behind from some trees, we catch the glimpse of an axe.

*They finally arrive at the camp. Handsome boy and beatiful girl starts making love (since it is the first thing to do) The girl with glasses starts to unpack. The boy with glasses explores the area.

The boy with glasses dies.

They find the body.

The girl with glasses dies.

They find the body.

The killer chases the handsome boy and beatiful girl. The killer and the handsome boy fight. The killer wounds the handsome boy. Beatiful girl wounds the killer. Handsome boy kills the killer.

Police (sherrif) arrives.

The body of the killer disappears.

THE END

edit: I loved these slashers. Comparing Freddy and/or Jason to Scream or any of the 90's slashers, 80's' ruled

Sorry, didn't mean to go political on y'all.  I was just saying that it's really funny how many "counter culture" folks are right wingers...

Back to the 80s...  The Coreys!!!  (*shudder*)

Oh yeah, and Arnie movies with more deaths than words...

lol@the coreys.. did you ever wonder what would have happened to a movie made with only one corey?  Come to think of it.. was it ever done? Maybe they had some bizarre contract thing going on..

For your information headbanging is a very underrated form of excericise that produces great strength in ones neck and shoulders

Bort wasn't reprimanding you...just found it interesting.  I haven't met a lot of counterculture republicnas other than my heavy metal buds...would be interesting to see if there is a correlation...given that it seems to go against common sense.  I have always thought my love for conservative politics, Christianity, heavy metal, and psychology were a strange albeit interesting combination...but got to say I love the way I integrate them all in my life... to many people's chagrin;P

Is there a problem with that

The extra muscle tube around my waist is the bad thing I was referring to

The skin tight jeans...they were so incredibly cool.  But now that I no longer wear them I am amazed at how I could submit myself to that kind of torture...how did I even walk

My Little Ponies:  If there was anything other than the toys, my parents barred it from me.  TV was not big in our house. But I had many of the toys...they were $5 a piece, IIRC, so that's where most of my allowence money went.     My best friend and I played Ponies for many a summer afternoon.  They don't have unicorns and pegasi anymore?  Horrors!    My first Pony was a fuzzy yellow pegasus named Lofty.  They still do make fuzzy ones, don't they?

Skippit:  yes!  And those Pogo ball things...

My brothers had micro machines and matchbox cars.  No Transformers, but *tons* of Ninja Turtles!  I'm surprised no one's mentioned Ninja Turtles yet (or are they 90's?).

They are late 80s to my recollection. They kicked *** man.
I used to say dude all the time. (I do still but more from a st**er perspective.)

When they came out with the actual movie TMNT 3, I lost interest.
I have like 30 of their comic's though, including issue #2.

I once  played with bow's, but fliped it from the ground with my feet to hard.
I had a peculiar landing :*
