This is a big part of why I hope they're not units at all, but heroes/shadowy figures that play a part in the campaign but not the actual game.

I just have a feeling that we will see Hydras as neutral units (new neutrals were announced in expansion). It would be also logical lore-wise, that after Heroes 6, "neutral" hydras were tamed by Dark Elves in Heroes 5. Now everyone would be happy, and I would seriously consider having them in my army instead of, for instance, an elite faction unit...

That's true and interesting! Faceless doesn't have to be the champion. But still the faceless low numbers doesn't really make them qualify as elite creatures.

Me too. The Ashan timeline says this about the War of the Bitter Ashes. Tuidhiana is under attack by elves and humans:

I am actually a bit disappointed that they didn't also introduce the Sylvan faction with this expansion. Instead, we get yet another Necro campaign (I am counting Dance Macabre as one as well). Given the origin of the Dark Elves and the fued they had with the Elves afterwards, it would have made sense to include both and give each their own campaign.
Then in another expansion, they could have added Fortress and Academy.

Belketh and the weapons' packs are pre-order bonus, so I'm not really sure they'll be included in the Complete Edition.

That's why I'm asking. I think it's safe to say that the Complete Edition will feature the three Dynasty Weapons from the "Master of all Darkness Pack", but I'm no so sure about the Dragonbone Staff and Belketh (which I really like to have).

Still, it says: "all bonus maps & items", so it must include all Dinasy Weapons...except maybe the Dragonbone Staff.
And I understand it doesn't include other special heroes from preorder bonus of the vanilla game.

Since this expansion is "supposed" to see our Dynasty and carry all our stuff over, is there a chance it will see we have these other heroes and make them available as well?

That's good to know, but like with all things Ubi related, I'll believe it when I see it. It's not like they haven't promised things in the past (*cough* improved map editor *cough*) and then gone back on their word.
Plus, that answer is kinda contradictory. They say no, the expansion won't include the maps from H6 vanilla, but then say the H6 content we own will be available. Wouldn't that technically mean the maps as well?
