Important - H3 Fortress Overview - mods please check
Hi. I noticed that there is no review for the Fortress faction on Age of Heroes, so I've made one.Maybe someone could post it there so the Towns page could be complete.So , here's my review :
Fortress rating
I.Creatures – powerful hand to hand combatants ; average over-all cost ; specials include no enemy retaliation , petrifying , poison attacks and more! ; this army is ill-suited for siege combats.
+ troops : Gnoll Marauder is a tough lvl 1 creature ; Dragon Flies are fast creatures with a very useful speciality (dispel and weakness) ; Strong lvl 4 with a good speciality (petrifying attack) ; Maybe the strongest lvl 5 creature (certainly the most useful) ; Hydra is hard to defeat and is a good opponent if used strategically .
-troops : Lizardmen aren’t that useful ; Dragon Flies die too fast ; Wyverns have low stats , especially HP ; Hydras are weak on att/def ratings and are very slow .
Important upgrades : Serpent Fly , Gorgons , Hydras .
Rating : 7
II.Special buildings – not so impressive ; the Glyphs of Fear and the Blood Obelisk increase the att/def of defending heroes by 2 ; the Cage of Warlords increases the visitors defence by 1 .
Rating : 6
III.Magic – level 3 Mage Guild ; dominated by Water and Earth spells .
Rating : 6
IV.Grail building – increases the att/def stats of any defending hero by +10 ; very useful for castle defending .
Rating : 9
V.Heroes – Beastmaster : Very good and tough fighter class with good specialities that include Armorer and plenty of creature specialities .
Rating : 8
Witch : a good spellcasting class that needs a town with lvl 5 Mage Guild ; good specialities include Sorcery , Weakness , Intelligence and Stone Skin.
Rating : 7
VI.Resource requirements – lots of wood but nothing else ; this town is maybe the cheapest of all towns .
Rating : 10
VII.Best opponent – Inferno : Fortress has units that can take care of Devils and Efretti ; Fortress matchess well against Inferno’s hand-to-hand fighters .
VIII.Worst foe – Necropolis : With the powerful Lich guarded and with Death Stare speciality being useless , Fortress armies will be crushed slowly under the weight of numbers .
IX.Final grade : 7.6
EDIT : The ratings could be modified if needed.Please let me know about your suggestions !

Conflux is also missing one, now that you're at it, but then again, I think I know what'll the ratings be...

No one is interested in this ? I would post it but I can't post anything on Age of Heroes (because I'm a simple member).That's why I'm asking the mods attention

You should send an IM to Elvin, moderator. I think he can post it.
The guides on AoH were made long years ago, when people only read the manual and play little. All infos there are very much obsolete now and not accurate.
