About topic, we will wait, we will see. We have some time left to Orthodox Chritmas' date, so we can only wait till it. If it takes more time to finish the version of this mod we are talking about, at least I won't be raging about it. It's better to wait more for a mod and get full version of it, then to get earlier, but early as well Alpha version with tons of bugs.

Well, why not be nice and warm and etc ALL the year, not just for three days ?

What I mean is, you're not feeling good because of some holiday spirit and cheer, it's Christmas spirit to you because you're feeling good. So, it's all up to you.

I see that HOTA has an option of having a much bigger map. I think this is possible with ERA too,using the XXL MOD. Will you make bigger maps possible in the map editor in 0.8 ? or if its not incorporated, will the XXL mod work ?

Isn't SW is ERA based project? Some mods could be implement to work with it. HD Mod with H2 Art Style is great like truly remastered game.

The 250/250 XXL mod works with this, but it isn't really "incorporated". the buttons don't show it properly.  
 
Would love to see a 250/250 and even more,maybe 500/500 for the insane people!! That would surely make an intense map.  
Also, i'm not an expert, but there's a limit on how many buildings you can put on your map...so that should be edited too. ( it probably is on the mod but i'm not sure)

I'm still working on a 250/250 map, but I doubt that I will ever finish it. I created some XL maps in the past, which took ages already.
Now, go and find someone to build a 500x500 map. Maybe you'll need to put someone into a locked room with nothing but a laptop with a Heroes 3 map editor installed.
Although, there is a tool that allows you to copy and paste maps into other mapes... so just copy some other maps together. ^^

I want to start a 500/500 map. I did different maps in the past, finished a few but when my computer broke I lost dozens of hours of work...  
 
Now I want to make a huge project in this mod( I like the artstyle more). I have ambitios plans and half insane, but It might work in time...  
 
But for that I need an even bigger map than 250/250. Basically a choose your adventure single player map, where you can skip a lot of content depending on your choiches, so you can play only 30-40% at one time so it can be replayed many times.  
 
There are 3 problems, the one is that I don't know any ERM. That's not huge one because i can improvise. But to improvise (and this is the second problem) I need to be able to use a lot of objects,hundreds and hundreds, and the last problem is that I need a huge map,the bigger the better because I will update it over time.  
 
At least that's the plan, my new year resolution!!

EDIT: What tool are you talking about ?

My problem was when was messing around with it, I got to the object limit very fast. The second or third map I copied into a G map missed some objects already.

Everything is going just fine, but there are still some programming issues and a few essential graphics need to be done. Because of this (and upcoming exams)there will be a little slippage, but not that big. We hope to catch up during winter holidays and from what I've seen, it's really worth waiting.

I was playing the mod again and I had a thought. I know many WOG options will be disabled, I understand,the question is will things like "double movement speed" or universal creature upgrades still be present?You told us about the minimod concept,but what will happen to the WOG scripts that work just as they are?  Will ERM scripts like those in WOG still work ?
 
On an unrelated note, I just started playing this mod with the HD mod,it's quite interesting! Didn't find any annoying bugs so far.

For v0.8 we decided to totally disable WOG options, but we're considering reintroducing some of them once we will get stable version of our Mod. However, except a few hard-coded aspects, many scripts are written in ERM (mind you, SWmod is built on WOG), so an experienced person shouldn't have problems with adding a new (or old ) content.


For now also additional upgrades will be gone, however I think that some of them will be placed in future as neutrals (or at least I will try to add them in my own minimod).


As for HDMod, by courtesy of Baratorch it will present interface compatible with SWmod
