Let`s look into things from the bright side!
Now maybe we can send petition about things we demand..
e.g. windmills
faction specific skills in the tree
hill fort
witch huts/university like in h3
battle sites with more character like in h5
attribute modifier dwelling that let`s u choose between 1 attack and 1 defence and same for magic...

Its funny how some people actuall belive that UBI would use the time to give us something "special" or "Extra". No they will just polish the game into such a shape that it might only need 5 patchs for it to be playable.
Now Really Last time we got something unexpected was when BH used spare Manforce to create snow terrain and/or duplicate creatures like Water and Air elementals or Wolves were added. And I do not think that other studios will do this since this is not their code, ad it's not so easy for them to work with it.

I doubt anyone really cares whose code it is, fact is Ubi collects the money so they are expected to deliver. On time, not 2 years from now.

Ahem, they just announced May 2nd as the new release date... I can already smell the ****storm approaching. It's disappointing really to see Ubi fall so low as to scam their own customers for money.
A funny consolation reward, however, is this : "We know that for many of you two additional months" - there are actually 3 months from now til the new release lol.

No longer a rumor. From the official page as well as Facebook:

Today, we unfortunately have to announce that the release of Might & Magic Heroes VI : Shades of Darkness, as well as the Complete Edition, have been postponed. The Standalone expansion to Heroes VI and the Complete Edition will arrive in both digital and retail distribution on May 2, 2013.
We know that for many of you two additional months seems an eternity and that this announcement is obviously disappointing. However, this extra time will allow us to ensure a top quality game experience as we want this Standalone expansion to meet your high expectations. Meanwhile, we will continue to share more information about the game on our official channels.
Please accept our apologies for the delay and be sure that the Might & Magic team is working hard to deliver the game experience you are looking for. Thank you for all your support and patience.

That's not actually a reason for the delay, more like "Now that we have the time for it, ...". At least that's how it sounds to me.

Still, no answers what the reason for the delay is. My guess is either they didn't polish the campaigns enough, or some Conflux related sh*t...
BTW my expectations would only be fulfilled if they threw one more faction into the fray

Well, it's hard to be positive when they announce a release date, put up a preorder and 2 weeks later move it 3 months forward. If they suddenly realized the 1 month they had till release will not be enough, 1 or 2 weeks delay would be reasonable, but 3 months suggests they knew it would not be enough.... And that is assuming they really need more time to complete the expansion and did not delay it for other reasons...
It's unlikely they would add 1 more faction to the xpac as a compensation but they could at least create some more skirmish maps instead since the vanilla game had way too few.
That one map they are offering for free seems more insulting than anything. "Here, take that candy and go away now.."

The bad part, people who preorder/buy the complete version, that map won't be as exclusive as it was pretended to.
With that said, I like this move from Ubisoft, a small gift that won't hurt.
(Still, I think they could make a few maps during this 2 month delay, since the Mapmaker team doesn't seem the reason of the delay, right?...)

Looks like the idiots also delayed Rayman until September, to compete with GTA V.
It should be interesting to see how much they whine about Rayman not doing well.

Oh well, hope they polish the game properly. Yeah its very annoying but I think everyone agrees that better they delay the game then release it in the state of original H6.
