Kingdom Rush

Good morning, day or evening fair lords and damsels, and let me introduce you to one of best flash TD games: the Kingdom Rush!

Kingdom Rush is a tower defense game developed by Ironhide Game Studio and published by Armor Games.
Kingdom Rush is a tower defense game set in Medieval times. There are empty lots set along the pre-determined path where the player can build towers. There are four towers to choose from: Mage, Archers, Barracks, and Artillery. At the beginning of each level, the player starts off with a certain amount of money in order to buy towers. As the monsters begin to emerge from one end of the path, the goal is to kill them using these towers before they reach the other end of the path. Killing monsters generates money, which can be used to upgrade towers as well. Certain towers are more effective in killing certain types of enemies. The rest's up to you to find out.

Here are some pictures:

I own it and have played it a lot.  It's a good game but I do not recommend getting it on the PC.  The non-PC versions get a lot more content than the PC and I believe it will be the same with Kingdom Rush 2.

They are pushing for the game to be released on Steam, which is just a cash-grab seeing as how you can play the game for free on Armorgames.com.

I love tower defense games but if the PC version is gimped I guess I'll pass. Maybe at some point they'll decide to fully port it.

Edit:  The greenlight site claims the Steam version will have 50% more content than the original game.

It's a very good tower defense, probably the best flash-based one. Played it quite a lot about an year ago. But to pay for it... hardly.

Thanks for showing us this game, it's quite fun! What I like about it is that it's pretty hard even on normal, currently stuck in the Forsaken Valley.

The game is quite good. What it lacks is a level creator. Yeah...

Btw, did anyone notice some similarities with LOTR? I know that I did.

All fantasy games have simlarities with LotR. I can't remember any
that didn't.
Btw, I played the game a bit some time ago. It was quite good to play on class while teacher didn't watch.

If the PC version is gimped, which platform has the "true" version?

I just saw the comment about the 50% content.  I would not believe it a bit.  If I had to guess, it will be the vanilla game with all the DLC.  Compared to the iOS versions, the PC version has always been lacking.  As to an Android version, they always talk about it but have yet to deliver, so I would not hold my breath on that either.

Well, hopefully they will expand the game for STEAM as they claim. I love tower defense games and one in a fantasy setting is a big plus.

EXTRA CONTENT

Kingdom Rush for Steam will feature a new undead campaign with several new stages, enemies, boss fights, special towers, more heroes, a new terrain, and more!

I just downloaded this after I saw it here and it's the best tower defense game I've yet played in iPad. The customization of the towers is awesome, advanced towers (check screenshot) get 2-3 specialties you can level up. Great variety of gameplay and it doesn't force you to buy gems to pass levels like many of its kind, although you can if you want and it makes things a lot easier. Not free for iOS, I payed 5.75 liras which would be like 3 or 4 dollars I guess.
