Lol, no .. way off the mark. Seeing as their ancestors (Way way back in the line) had similar 'issues'. A dwarf, human and a black skinned human were all brothers. Yes full brothers (not half or anything like that)...it's a family curse. Just like the white hand of the 'Whitehands'. Wait until you meet "G"'s brother...the minotaur *laughs*. Jet and "G" are full brothers also, but a few do escape the curse (like Jet).
More interestingly it is not until their 16th birthday that the curse takes effect. Which is how a human can have a half-giant child and survive the birth.

*laughs* I did not create the curse, but yeah. There are other plotholes also.
90% of all children born to the family are female, who for the most part escape the worst part of the curse (their appearance can change, but they stay human). Only about 10% of the males actually stay human. Most are half-something or other, or full something or other (other then human). Usually scary creatures or creatures that normally would have a hard time finding a mate. So..the family name should have died off a long time ago.
The exception to escaping the curse is those born directly by the Whitehand side of the family. Then ONLY the females receive the curse of the White hand, and ONLY the first born female of each generation. So, one would think that it would be easy to end the curse..simply by killing the one with the white hand before they can have children. It has been at least 4 generations..adventuring is a dangerous thing..all of them have been adventurers..so the chance of all of them living to have children are slim..yet the white hand still exists. There is a plot hole in there somewhere.

I get the impression outside the cave passed 8-9 hours,while in cave have passed at most 1 hour.
So either the cave is special(doubtfully)or I don't get the 8 hours significance.

You rested long enough for J to memorize new spells which is yes, 8 hours.
Also, next round the mage and the ranger can now focus on the necromancer since they don't have to fight the undead that are coming from the sides (which are going away from Dorn as fast as they can).
Edit : Most GM's use a 24 hr period to change/memorize new spells. Ie doesn't matter if you cast them first thing in the morning or at 11:59 at night..you can't memorize new spells until after midnight. Now if there is no rest period between casting/memorizing of spells then yes I do too..however, if there is 8 hours of uninterrupted rest then new spells can be memorized and then cast. However, this comes with a 'penalty' too..if spells are cast at 11:59 pm mages can't memorize new spells until they have rested 8 hours consecutively, uninterrupted.

Not including yourself there are 6 people who can fight decently. Counting you there are 6 non-combatants. It is not too crowded yet, so yes you can see the manager is alive and well.

Heh, just to warn you..since these things are obviously psychic (ie talking through telepathy)...you are not going to be able to trick them into revealing the password. Of course that doesn't mean that the password can not be found elsewhere..perhaps.
Keep in mind there are ONLY 3 of them, and it is know they are not Beholders (one beholder would take out the whole group without much problem)

Well as for what to do, the two groups have pretty much met..so talking to each other would be nice. As for an update for the group, right now you are waiting for each other it seems. Also, don't worry the manager will reply soon.
Right now, the groups are only seperated by a small hole in the ground and about 30' or so. However, one is inside the room, another has ignored your hail and went to check the other door. Ah I can always reply as the NPC's to get things moving along.
