thanks. i'm still working on refining the trees i've already done. for some reason they don't look right as clusters, but the individual trees look fine. i'll eventually work out the kinks.

there's no set date, because my work and time for work fluctuates. it's not going to be anytime soon, though. i still have to finish the dead trees and their clusters(which may be different for both grass, swamp, and dirt), finish cutting out the subterranean patches, add more subterranean and ocean objects specifically for their respective terrains, replace the rough trees and their clusters, replace the autumn trees and their clusters(and replace what was taken from other clusters with trees similar to their type)and a myriad of other things i can't recall atm(that are parts of incomplete set work); before i even start the rename and transfer work for the patch.

@fred

@krs

What about posting it publicly in Maphaven, GrzegorzVII? Maybe more will like to play it. Who knows, maybe some will even give feedback and suggestions to improve, if you want.
I'd gladly play it btw but I am very short on gaming time lately.

We need more maps with Fred objects

@fred79 That's a suggestion of mine. Thought about adding items from other game: Tibia into your mod? These are 32x32 nearly all, same size as one tile on adventure map. I've used one on my HotA map, and looks good:

I believe You just need to rework the black-coloured borders around all of them(beacuse it's the only thing that makes them differ from HoMM3), and that would be all about it - should look amazing and fitting then. Here's link:
Tibia Items

Cheers,
Rakso

PS: I'm also using some stuff from your mod on my map. Not all of it tho, beacuse as I said, I'm making it on HotA, and throw all of them into the pack used only by one map would be too much of downloading for my eye. Ofc I'll credit you as the author of the package, from where I've took them

@ rakso: i can't see any of the wiki images(so i can't validate or attempt any work on the items you suggested). wiki images have been blank as of late; i don't know the reason.

currently working on the HotA team's grass mountain concepts. i'm still having problems getting the bases to blend correctly, as they are lighter and less saturated than the rest of the mountain. after working so long(at least 3 days) on only one mountain(the first largest) and getting unsatisfactory results with the base, i decided to go ahead and do the bulk conversions for the rest this morning(sharpness, color changes, brightness/contrast fixing; using the same formula as i did the first). now i have a full set that each need doctored in an exact way so that they will all blend exactly with each other. it's going to be uphill going until i find the best way to blend the bases with the grass terrain.

edit: it looks like i have a viable formula for the base. after using it, it's manual area work, and the finished product is looking good. once i'm done with all of them, i'll post a screen.

edit 2: the mountains are done. i tweaked the existing grass hills in my lod as well, to match the new mountains. i have yet to make mines for these new mountains, but they're up next. these mountains will be replacing the recolored homm2 mountains in the patch.

i want to personally thank the HotA team for making these available for me and not having any objections about me altering their work and adding them to the patch.

edit: updated the screen with latest tweak work.

That's, just, wonderful.
Even so that the original decorative objects look out of place now

I mean, look at this awful shrub between your mountain and the faerie ring !

That shrub is fine; the best in the bunch, in fact. It's the other shrubs in the set that need upgraded.

@ fiorin: i did some tweaking work to the two larger mountains and all the smallest hills(not in the mountain set). they should blend better now. i updated the screen to display the latest work.

---------
Have the mine graphics isolated to make mines for the new mountains. I also made gem mountain mine templates that will be added to every type of mountain.

----
started work on the mines. i did the gold, gem, crystal, and ore mine, but i'm not satisfied with the end results. once i am, i'll post a screen.

----
ok, i'm finally satisfied with the results(just finished with the last of them, the abandoned mine):

i've gone back to working on the dead trees again. i'll post an update once i get them all ironed out.
-------

took a break from the dead trees to fix the lineups of both the colorful and tropical trees. i removed the willows from the colorful trees and added them to the willow lineup, and replaced their old slots with the fruiting tropical trees(while adding 4 new tropicals). i also replaced the first of 8 off-trees from the bulk grass set(the set with the new millidor trees). once i have replacements for them, i'll move the 5 autumn trees(3 of which are being remade from their original source image) to their own group, and look for more graphics to build the fall tree set. once i have enough of them, i'll be remaking the autumn tree clusters.

i'm still unfinished with the dead trees, too. so i have plenty left to do.
-----------

as of today, i have 13 trees replaced of the mostly millidor(grass) tree set. i also replaced 2 of the fruit trees with improved versions made from the original graphics. all of the weakest tree graphics from the grass set are now gone. i may work on the clusters, and update them; but i have a bunch more to do that i could work on atm.

I've released all of my unfinished work in my Tavern thread(where you can find a vague explanation of why I'm not going to be modding anymore). you can download all of my unfinished and current work-in-progress(including new stuff set to go into the new patch, my unreleased Forge project stuff, my unreleased Fear project stuff, my unreleased Lovecraft project stuff, my 3 map campaign[the whole reason I started modding heroes in the first place was to improve my maps, which I doctored into the rough drafts of a 3-map-only campaign; minus the storyline and events, which I hadn't gotten into with depth yet; choosing to focus on the graphics and physical planning and layouts first]).

I can't use the hc link feature currently, so I have to leave this link to the Tavern thread:
