sore finger
I play Heroes 3 for hours and hours a day, and for days and days a week, and for - well you get the picture 
The game is played almost solely with the mouse so the only thing I move is the top joint of my index finger, and it is getting very sore. Has anyone else had this problem, and is there any solution (other than by not playing H3 of course).

Using keyboard shortcuts more than halves the mouse clicking. Enter, C , E, D, space bar, Escape. Enter numbers manually when split creatures, don't click 20 times to move 20 of them.

Tape a soft earplug to the mouse and press that. You can also use another finger or the other hand. May seem difficult to start with but wont take you long to get used to.

Try to play more than 2 min limit turn.

Also consider increasing the mouse speed so that you can move cursor across the entire screen without lifting up your arm at all. And don't play so much without taking a break  You might get a whole bunch of problems that are almost impossible to cure later.
@Salamandre: Can you specify what each hotkey does? I know most of them but I could imagine, that some are not known for everyone.

H: cycle through heroes
E: ends turn
C: spell book
S: goes directly to save game screen
T: cycles through towns
D: defend
W: wait
Space bar: select next creature
D: dismiss creature (hero screen)
Enter: instead of button "confirm"
Type number when split, type number when buy creatures.
There are tens more, but those are mostly used to save your fingers.

Thank you,Sal,for providing these.
Now that I use the Turbo mod,combined with the keyboard shortcuts would make my play way more comfortable.

I use keyb to move my heroes sometimes when i'm bored of using the mouse. On my laptop there is numpad, you can use 1,4,7,8,9,6,3,2 easily. Of course, it's not very useful but I got used to it
