My barbarian was actually going to be female but womanly Kip didn't sit right in my head.

Because I didn't want a female elf, the male voice is SO much better. 
And if I've made him female, he'd be called Jhoraelvin
EDIT: Tripped at the savegame bug. Got rid of it by editing the saves.ini file. There were some old records from deleted saves that messed it up. Removed those and everything works as it should again.

It's bug that messes up the load menu, not the files themselves and it seems easy to correct so a minor issue. But an issue that shouldn't be in a released game anyway.

I'm pretty high level now, not quite sure how high(checked, 25). Just got Elvin to Elder Druid and got Grandmaster Earth for him(requires prestige class).
Still in act 2. Doing a lot of sidequests at the moment. Probably going to go take on the Paladin prestige class quest ruin next.
BTW. Got to love the map, it's linked together quite perfectly, you don't really have to go walking through places since you can get pretty much everywhere from everywhere. And if you can't there's always lost city...
Just wish those goddamn undeads would END already.
PS. This must be the first game where frost ring is so awesome. It reduces number of attacks by one and hits, you guessed it, everyone around your party. Damage is meager though.
I also think liquid membrane is bugged or someone really didn't think it through, it's basically -80% damage spell.
Oh yeah, best timed comments ever, after drinking a man under the table Kipshaz goes: "Ancestors must be proud."

Yeah, it's great. Just so much to do! I'm constantly in that state where I would need to stop and do something else but I'm "Just. One. More. Quest. -- Oh crap, it's 6 am already! When did that happen?"
The skills aren't even closely balanced out though. Heavy armour grandmaster grants you +10 armour, really? I can pick up a relic shield that gives me 30+. Expert of dodge gives 10 points in dodge too...
It would be okay if we had loads and loads of skill points but as it stands opportunity costs for some of the skills are simply too great.
Armour levels are retarted, sure, in the first 10 levels your heavy armour crusader is above the rest but when you pass 15 it doesn't matter anymore. Your relics give you double the armour you get from any armours themselves. I get that they're relics and epic items and stuff but 30 armour from soppy sandals? Really?
You need to take freemage to get dark. This I'm conflicted about, dark has some great spells, purge is AMAZING. But really, why you'd ever take freemage in the first place, is to get that first level whispering shawdows spell to find secrets. FOR WHICH THE SCROLLS COST 400 GOLD! Whose ridiculous idea was that pricing? 400! For a level 1 spell scroll! SHAME ON YOU! Basically I just backtracked every dungeon as soon as I got the secret revealing hireling. Just stupid.
