I know. My friend is playing your map too and it works for him without any problem. But when I choose 1 of 4 options - I play with devils- it jumps directly to the game. This window you posted is just skipped somehow. Btw how did you recognize my difficulty?

Strange, I tested devils and difficulty is proposed, so it works. You can see the difficulty you play on if you click on the "question" button, near minimap. It will tell you all features about your faction and difficulty.

Possibly TEWIV made some problems. without it it runs OK.
Btw thanks for game. finaly I finished it. it was long nights :-D
very nice. fantastic. my rating 10 of 10
I´m playing it once more again, of course different difficulty.

With the Christmas holidays I started a MoE game and kept Commodus only on dragon's caves, using shrines for hard combats. Not even month 5 and he is already level 8, moves 16k/turn and keeps improving. He gains one special level every 3 days, all put in movement.

I stopped playing with devils before Zydar.

Is not the stats which are the most important, is the numbers. You can't have more than a mx of 5000 devils until the end, but you can have up to 100k demons, half less for others than MoW. From middle game it makes no more sense to improve devils stats, when you have 10 times more demons which can be upgraded as well.

Remember that if you upgrade your imps health to 16, the conversion ratio imp-demon will be 1:1.

Sal,could you provide some saves?

What I mean is-you play with 3 factions-MoE,MoW and MoS-what month/week/day you fight Damacon/Jaegar/Gerwulf and Olema with each faction?

4 enemy heroes,multiplied by 3 factions=12 saves(would appreciate it)

I don't have anymore such early saves but I recall Gerwulf should be done before month 3, and much earlier if MoE as you can resurrect twice/cast.

But I never tried to play the faster possible, I just play as it comes. I recall Biobob could beat Daremyth month 2 or so, which would be impossible for me.

The easiest faction is MoE, not even MoD. Not only it has shrines so you can reach important locations instantly, but you don't have to waste so much mithril into devils thus demons can be ready much earlier.

Zydar, which is the toughest for the others can be beat by MoE with weak devils + one unexperienced genie (speed 15) + efreets.

First of all thank you for the best homm3 map I ever played: TEW IV Commodus' Revenge.

It's possible to clear the error you get when you use teleportation shrine?(another solution then "disable error message" from "end turn" button).

No, just disable error messages, They are due to map size but will not affect your game play, as I saw them from save. One creature bank gets corrupted hence the message, when you will find it it will just have a strange message when you hover mouse over. But nothing lethal.

Try to not place shrines on other objects entrances or near water, if you plan to land on that location.

PS: less than 3 months to beat Zydar, I would love to read some walk through on your adventure.

I keep all my heroes in key locations, except for Commondus, which must keep moving forward. I only use him to fight.

After each battle I visit with Commondus the Oasis, the Fountain of Youth, the Watering Hole and the Rally Flag(near each of them I have one hero) for extra movement points (the last 3 don't give much movement but is something).

All the movements of the other heroes are used for the support of the Commodus activity(eg. I bring each of my secondary heroes to Commondus with teleportation shrine, then I move them forward, tp back to their original location and tp Commondus to the new advanced position).

And I keep in all my towns additional heroes to switch and use their movement points every day.

Hope I explained this well enough.

Yes but pay attention to not level Commodus too fast, as when he reaches 74 you may have big problems, Heroes 3 does not handle 74+. The other heroes are given to make all secondary fights (creature banks, bonus objects).

* Commodus experience is - 1 Billion something... => i can't take any more library...
* I recently loose my ability Expert Haste i don't why , it dissapear from my horned demons...
