foreign language speakers in online games
Yesterday, I played a few rounds of DotA 2. Most of them were largely unremarkable, but the last two stuck out. The second-to-last game, three of the people on my team were Spanish-speakers, and did not (or refused to) speak English. Not only that, but they kept talking on the mic incessantly, making it difficult to focus on the game. This is something that I have observed too often with Spanish-language players. The game after that, there were a few Francophones on my team. Fortunately, they didn't use the mic, but chatted exclusively in French, making themselves difficult to understand.
I've had this problem in other games too. "habla espanol"? "No." "*quits*".
I think it's a good idea to segregate players depending on what languages they're willing to speak. People who are willing to exclusively speak English in the course of the game should have English-only lobbies/games, those who want to speak Spanish should be in Spanish lobbies, etc. Language barriers are annoying, as are cultural differences in communication.

I've played quite a few games on LoL in wich some players were talking only in Czech, at least I think it was Czech. Pretty annoying, especially since it was just against bots. Why can't everyone use English, I don't know.

For same reason they can't use Chinese
I've played a lot of online games myself, but I don't find it annoying when someone types in their native language.

Why don't you think of it as a realistic effect, mvassilev. In real life you wouldn't be able to understand what the enemy soldiers were speaking, would you?

Yes, but these people were on my team. Also, for some games, cooperation between opponents is necessary for it to function. For example, if you had a dispute in a sport, and you said, "Hey, you stepped over the foul line", and the other person says something like "Greiognreogpnre", that's not a fun way to play.

IMHO the only acceptable reason for communicating in a language unknown to the majority of the group for an extended period of time is only acceptable if someone present can't speak the aforementioned language well (or even at all), and thus needs someone to translate. Upon joining, a dominant language should be agreed on and respected.
I can imagine other languages used briefly for comic relief, but only in a context that makes the meaning evident.

Yes, it's a big problem in any cooperative game like MOBA games. It kills the fun, sadly.
