As far as I know, it was 2.0 patch, which only adds SoD content.
I'm talking about 2.1 patch. There're links, but will they work for Steam?

Ok, I am confused here. I have no idea what patch my current game is, or how to update it besides downloading the patch 2.1 directly. Where is the auto updater found for the game? The last notice UPLAY had was announcing patch 1.5, does that mean I have to manually download 1.6, 1.7, 1.8, then 2.1?

When I launched the game last time, it was 1.8))) And yes, all SoD content is available))

My H6 is installed from a disc (the traditional way),
does that mean that I should download the "normal" patch (and avoid the digital version)?

Yeah, right - obviously I am the only person who will read this thread and try to download stuff. Nice one.
EDIT: My game was already patched to version 2.1 when I saw this thread anyway, so this is not about me.
EDIT #2: By the way, mods/admins, any plans to update the forum software from the 1990ies (current state) into something suiting the 2010s?

Bad, baaad UBI!
Russian version 2.1 auto-patch seems to have been pulled from the UBI servers. Heroes VI 2.1 utterly fails on my main PC.
So I tried my laptop instead, but when I tried to update the Russian version of the game on my laptop via gu.exe (they say you need to do it that way, and not via the manual patches), the game kept showing as version 1.8 - the 2.1 patch never showed.
Also, it seems this screw-up is caused by Chinese guys - the patch says "Virtous China". LOL!
EDIT: OK, my problem with being unable to play any Campaign or load a save are gone. I am playing in Offline mode.
The main game (which is the only thing I have purchased so far), SoD and the two smaller earlier DLCs appeared as locked/un-purchased. I tried to re-unlock the Original game using my Heroes VI "vanilla" version reg. code/serial number, but the game said I need to be Online. Ran the game in Online mode, and then back in Offline mode - voila! - all Campaigns there, all good.
I assume most players play in Online mode anyway, but since the game works for me now, I wanted to share this.

There wasn't 2.0 patch - it's retail version of Shades of Darkness installed from dvd (during install you need to uninstall H6).
Problem with 2.1 patch is that it's too big for uplay so best idea is to download it manually. Despite of version you have you need to download retail or digital version of patch.
Easiest way is to install H6 from dvd, patch to 1.8 with 1.0-1.8 patch and than patch with 2.1.
Steam installation is easier because you don't need to do anything - just install from steam and play Steam will patch game for you.
