Hero_Of_Light, you mentioned that you had troubles with mods manager. Have you ever encountered THIS problem?

When I open my mods manager, I have some mods listed in red and "(missing mod)" is added after the mods name. I can't remove these from the list for some reason. Do you know how to fix this? (If you have encountered this problem of course.)

Example: Fast Battle Animation (missing mod)

Yeah, I had this problem... Try enabling disabling mods with the wog manager and rearrange them properly (HoL mod at the top, WoG at the bottom). The red warning should go away.

If that doesn't work, go to mods folder found in your heroes III installation. Create a new folder named _Off_ (just like you see it here) and then add/remove mods manually by transferring their folders in and out of the "_Off_" folder. It worked for me.

Didn't work... But it's fine, they don't seem to be bugging me (yet). And one more tiny question what is Universal timer 2? It is mentioned [url=http://heroescommunity.com/viewthread.php3?TID=39062]here[/url] in the morn battlefields mod.

If you mess around with the mod manager (you try to manually rename, move away or delete mods) then you will get those red empty strings.

Use mod manager options for any processes. Now that is screwed, you should reinstall or will get messier over time.

Double click on exe, specify your game path (ie:C:\GOG Games\Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Complete), that's all. The mod will install itself. When want to disable, use mod manager.

Hero_Of_Light may I ask a question?

I have been wondering for a long time, why have you decided to make most of the new creatures the second upgrade of a creature, not the third (although Lizard Warriors have the new texture in their final upgrade)?

This might be hard to understand so I'll show an example:

Demons (normal HoMM 3 creature) -> Horned Demons (the creature you created for the mod) -> Arch Demons (also creature from HoMM 3, but has different abilities)

There is some rather exciting news about the development of the campaigns that will be included in my mod.

As I said before, the Glory of War will include a brand new campaign (of the same title) ,which will follow Heroes Chronicles lore and it will feature Tarnum as a Death Knight.

However, I decided not to stop there. Alongside this campaign there will be the original 8 chapters of Heroes Chronicles campaigns that will be edited to fit to my mod. Additionally, the campaigns that were only downloadable (The World Tree and Fiery Moon), which only had 5 scenarios will be edited and enhanced, featuring 8 scenarios each (as all of HC campaigns did) and feature new versions of Tarnum as a Planeswalker and a Demoniac.

So, in short there will be:

9 campaigns (each for every town)
9x8=72 scenarios (some of them brand new)
9 versions of Tarnum (and a few other new heroes as well)

But wait, there's more!

I prepared a mini mod (well actually not that mini as it is over 300 mb - quite large really) featuring all original Heroes III cinematics and narrator sounds. Since my mod uses the original interface (which allows access to the original campaigns of Heroes III-not WoG) I thought it would be nice to reinstall the cinematics and thus remove the black screens from campaigns (original and custom).

But (yet again) I didn't stop there. I also removed the cheesy WoG cinematics and replaced them with the original Heroes Chronicles intros! This way, I managed to give a more authentic gameplay in the Tarnum campaigns that will be available in my mods.

To elaborate, this will be what to expect when the mod is ready (explained through pictures).

1) By clicking on the Custom Campaign you'll get this:



Notice that a new Chapter is added (The Glory of War), all campaigns have 8 scenarios and that they are set in the right order.

2) Let's start a new campaign (say Chapter 3, Conquest of the Underworld):



3) Once you start the campaign the first cinematic will be the one featured in the original Chronicles game (neat huh?):



4) And finally, you'll get the campaign with Tarnum as was in the Chronicles (alongside with more than a few new heroes made by me):



So that's pretty much it for now. Working on all those campaigns needed (and still needs) a lot (and I do mean) a lot of work. However, the progress is rather encouraging. It might be ready just in time for Christmas

Good News Everyone!

By adding a few final elements to my mod, I think it is fair to say that the new version will be ready in time for Christmass.

I am currently working on the campaigns I made to enrich the Heroes Chronicles saga. With any luck they will be ready by December 25th.

I will be posting an update on the progress soon.

I started to play with your mod again. And I say this method works perfectly, except one thing...


It says there are over 100 castles and it starts to repeat it every single time no matter who plays, you or A.I.

It has done only this time, but I got interested, take a look anyone who knows something


EDIT: Never mind, it isn't working properly if using like this way, even if adding/removing plugins in both GOW and WOG, so, do not.

Not even working

I have to report that the whole mod isn't working properly, no matter what the settings are.

I noticed when I tried to recruit some golems. Only Iron and Stone were allowed. Same goes when having Pikemen, Halberdier and Peasants, no Peasants were able to recruit.

Something wrong with plugins? Or something wrong with myself


I did only use WoG and GoW, no other mods used.

Anyone willing to assistance?
