But if you want the good heroes, why don't you use invite tavern mod and get them all on day one, as AI heroes are given only on AI turn?

Why do you want me to spend time to code something you can solve in one click?

Sorry, I didn't tried anything yet and I was just imagining. When I was on the bus home I was precisely thinking that your Invite Hero is a feature I didn't tryed.

You are right, probability of get bad heroes is now scarse. No more empty taverns with this mods. I must finnish the map I'm getting wipped out again ("The empire of the World 2", I'm playing it now and then since before you return) and start using you're newst tools to get a new feeling from WoG.

P.S. This is going to sound terrible but since I'm able really play the game without cheating at 200% in classic SoD, I feel I've lost interest.
I was more driven to get abusive creatures like SAs with attack and return, attack multiple and berserk... Fighting with elves and marksmen is not my thing. I love to get legions of liches and promiscuous Archangels...

But tew2 is for SoD only. If you add wog features to it, it distorts the results and make the game too easy.

I'm playing it in SoD. And losing or at least not winning, cause they have no way to came to me.


P.S. I definetively would like to see a stream of you playing... How the hell is Resistence the hardest speciallity to beat? The only offensive spells I ever use are Slow, Blind and Berserk by this order and when I'm playing WoG with MoC my combo is usually AoD so I don't need to stress up with slow (and it works in the presence of Red Orb...). Do you try to Implode over 40 Black Dragons? Or do all targets resist berserk?

The most annoying is resistance because when you are at resurrect phase, nothing will work to stop AI attacking, resurrecting again and again. I never play with berserk anyway, script is banning it, and not being able to cast slow, blind or simpl dispel against an AI 10 times superior in number and stats is indeed hard battle. But fair.

At least vs armorer specialist, you blind it, then disrupting ray until it negates any defense. Resistance specialist will cast fire shield on his stacks and at each attack you lose more than you inflict.

Streaming: I am average player, but can't recommend you any videos on the net. I find the marreti's videos boring, and the only players I found really good never bothered to stream.

I can't believe u are just average. Your maps are full of strange battles that need uncommon tricks to be won.
Is an average between Richard_Chen(s) and Maretti(s) excluding all the rest of us (noobs)?
I totally agree with you about Maretti's videos (and not only his). He plays in a very simillar way every game, is amazing in early creeping and chainning but tricks against other human are: get expert slow and maybe expert haste too (point). Desired skills are: Logistics, Earth, Offense, Armourer, Tactics, Air, Wisdom and Resistence, allways, by this order.
The rest is map control, who gets the best artifacts from Utopias, boots, angel wings and books and who has more angels and wyverins.
At this moment I prefer to see a match where both players are streaming then anyone specifically, cause gameplay is mostly very similar and all the fun is in observing the development of the game, like a soccer match.
Now, compare this kind of gameplay with Richard_Chen "Small Tricks...".
Even if I agree that is when facing another human oponent that one learns to play better, I think playing against computer requires somehow diferent skills. You can reload and even restart when things go wrong but you can also be set to fight completly unbalanced fights.
And that's where I think BAI shines, it can give u unbalanced armys and heroes from any random map. So, AI can have dispel (remember your remark on Small tricks?) and uber heroes with gigantic armys and u have to improvise, cause the fight isn't fixed and enemies are not blocked until the day u think u can deal with them.
These are the kind of movies I want to see now. But no one that good is streaming... You can find a trick here and there but nothing else. The top human X computer players almost never stream, while you can see an human X human match every day (mostly by russians players for some reason).

After writing this line (!!HE-1:X6/56/64/68;) it sudenly stroke: why don't you make a master of upgrades from  levels 1/2/7 for every town? Then AI would be even more unbeatable...
Except of course if u had the master of skells and had more money and kills then them.

my customized bank (the one we were talking about in the ERM thread) was replaced for a pillar.

Seems like you can't change the settings if you have the sagamosa mod.

Very interesting mod though... It kinda reminds me of civilization to good to not have...

The only problem with that mod is it makes things even easier, commander already wrecks the ai alone. So without a mod like consquistor or a custom map made for it, it becomes pretty useless...

Sagamosa had awesome ideas and skills. But his mod was never finished, thus didn't reach the testing phase, where everything is toned down, that kind of stuff.

It remains in overpowered form; I remember that if you play conflux, all heroes automatically fly, as long as they have only fliers in army. Given that they all start with sprites, conflux can cover all the map in days.

Found a bug..

Only happens in alliance.. Your ally will expand on your castle and you can't recapture it..

The silly thing is even if you have a hero in garrison it'll attack the hero so it can take over your castle.

Not sure if it's because of builder on. I'll turn it off and see if it still does that..

Is not a bug, my mod is for single player against AI. If you have an AI allied to you, he benefits from all AI bonuses and probably your game will be screwed.

Guess, I'll just play no alliance. Though I much prefer allies so I don't have to take over everything myself...
