There's been like 3 weddings in GoT, all of them included someone dying.

I am pretty damn' sure either Jon or Daenerys will "win" the Game of Thrones.

Funny, I had the same feeling. An Acme anvil will probably flatten the winner though

I don't believe the God of Light is good, if anything his magic seems shady. Of course I don't have much of an insight on where GoT Gods stand as I have yet to read the books. I just get the feeling that the whole Westeros is a chessboard..

#1  Joffrey was 14 when he decided to have Ned Stark beheaded, even though his mother and the council was against it.  This is bizarre that anybody would willingly live in a society where 14 year olds could make decisions like that.  There's no society in the world that actually lets children, even royal children, make decisions before they reach their majority.  There's always a regent that governs in their stead.  In GoT it would have been the queen or one of the council that was giving the orders.  Iln Payne would've paid attention to the adults because it was the adults that 'signed his paycheck' as it were.

But, Joffrey never revealed to anybody he was going to let Ned Stark's head roll. The whole thing was planned by the grown-ups, he was going to pardon Stark in front of the crowd, as a gesture of nobility. When he ordered the decapitation, it was a surprise to all of them. Yet, at that point, there was nothing to do because the king had given a direct order, right in front of the people. So, he kind of pulled one on them.

(Btw, in medieval times, although considered youth, the age of 14 wasn't seen as the age of a kid, at least not as in today's world. Being a teenager and having a long childhood are quite modern concepts. People used to have their own children at that age and there was no high-school to attend to.)

Man, the last episode was really good.

[S04E07 Spoilers]:
That scene with Oberyn and Tyrion was one of the most powerful scenes I have seen in GoT. Still thinking about it. So goooood

okay, maybe that wasn't spoilerish but whatever...

i couldn't look at that scene tbh. Too much gore for this one ::shudders::

I didn't like the episode that much either. It's obvious that the story is progressing too quickly, more quickly than GRRM can write new material anyway, so they're forced to creating all these backstories out of thin air to fill in the blanks. Meh.

I don't really want to post about this, but I force myself because I need to cope with this. :/
The last episode was terrible in all ways possible. Not only did someone likable die in the most gruesome way possible, but the Boltons are doing well, as well as Little Finger.

I've found out that I am a lot more emotional that I thought I was. After watching the episode I was nauseous, I needed to catch a break. I couldn't even sleep. It made me wonder why I even watch this show. I realized however that watching GoT is like playing a multiplayer game. In order to enjoy your wins, you have to lose every once in a while.
But this time, the loss was to big. It was too much, the build up from all the previous episodes made it so much worse.

Oh well, at least I got to see Missandei's amazing body. :/

You know what, I really don't understand this way of thinking at all. Has Hollywood cliches become the norm to such an extent, that everybody feels the "good guys" are obligated to always win? What happened to the real art of storytelling where anything can happen to anybody? And who are the good guys and bad guys anyway? I mean, yes, the Mountain in this case, is certainly a psychopath but if we put that exception beside, I am very glad that the universe of GOT is gray instead of black and white. I would very much prefer it to the world of LOTR for instance, in which bad guys are plain monsters and good guys prevail no matter what. That gets old and boring, real quick.

One my absolute favourites died. I kinda thought before the battle that it could happen, then again I thought that it just can't because he is tied to the Imp. And I already sighed a relief when he "won"... to have that feeling torn from my gut. Just totally amazing thrill, that is hard to top!

@artu
I agree, but that doesn't mean I'm not upset when something in the show happens that I don't like. I'm sure that in the greater scheme of things this is a good thing that can lead the story in an interesting direction. I love the unpredictability of Game of Thrones, and if I were to say a positive thing about the last even was that it once again turned the tables up side down.
Normally it's the bad guy that gets killed because of hubris, but time it was the good guy that was killed because of it.

Edit: when I say terrible, I don't mean that the storytelling or the writing is terrible. I though it was terrible because of all the sorrow it brought to me. Maybe horrible is a better word I dunno.

Well, they be having themselves a time of disillusionment, those "fans" who do not come to terms with reality and the nature of the show do not deserve to behold such treasure. The nature being, that it offers surprise, as in the viewer will not be able to accurately predict what comes next, and always kept on your toes without cliche' plot twists. The red wedding was perfect, you were set-up with hope of imminent total victory, and instead be presented with utter annihilation of an entire branch of the story, and life goes on, with them fading into memory as in RL. We are all no more than characters in a story, our lives easily extinguished.

Also, that Arya laugh, it cracked me open. ^^

LITTLEFINGER AND SANSA ARE AWESOME AND I WILL NOT TOLERATE ANYONE SAYING BAD THINGS ABOUT THEM111

Better them than Jon and Dany, both of whom are so boring right now (Actually, Daenerys is getting pretty bad lately and I'm starting to despise her, woopsadaisy :X). Sansa for shock winner plz.

Ugh @ Oberyn dying tho. Proud fool. Why didn't he just kill the mountain? Now he has doomed poor Tyrion. ;__;

I don't think Oberyn kept on talking just out of hubris. He was trying to get the Mountain to confess who gave the order of her sister getting murdered, which was why he accepted to fight him in the first place. He sure should have been more careful, though.

I have conjured another analogy. Watching GoT is like watching sports. Seeing your team lose is horrible, and makes you hate the match. But it doesn't mean you hate the sport.

Daenerys has always been boring, she's so damn entitled. (Of course we have to remember that she's supposed to be really young and all that stuff.)
Sansa is awesome, it's just Little Finger I can't stand.
