New Hero in the Tavern
Hi everyone.
I joined this forum basically because I want to see if anyone know how to mod the Heroes 3 Complete (from gog) into HD 1080p and also if anyone know a recording software or device that works with the mod/game.
Case is I am wanting to create basically a machinima, an adventure series using the content from within the game.
Mainly I would also like to ask you all how you would like to see in such a series, I mainly plan on using classic heroes in new scenarios.
I want to create an interesting story using the Heroes as characters.
Im open to idea.

HD Mod
As for the recording software, I recommend Taksi, others use Fraps, it's just a matter of preference. You might want to pick up a video converter too,(Example) the source files will be huge.

Thanks Polygot,Tho I tried to make it work, but I cant see the mouse or info screens, dunno how important this is for my project.
Also Im looking for sources of history on the Might and Magic world Antagarich, Im looking for spots where I can forge a story.

I have tried to record with Fraps, its kinda bad does not get everything some of it it just does not record.

Use MMArchive to open "Heroes3.snd" in your H3/Data folder. They should be all there.

That's pretty cool. Isometric H3 would actually be quite interesting, without changing the game mechanics too much.

Guys do you know the method to extract the sources files from Heroes 3?
I found this thread:

Im using MMARCHIVE, but I cant seem to get the pictures out of these .dat files. Please help.

Yeah, I removed some of the really bad ones
Im actually getting into doing a real big project.
I asked ubisoft, then wanna see what I had in mind as a video.
If they allow it, then ill make a full fledged Heroes of might and magic Macinema XD But there is one video up there still but its so silly
