Duel of Champions

Hi guys, does the community have a seperate forum for DoC ? I cant see one but then again maybe I am blind :-)

I am already stuck with this game, basically on the very first campaign fight after the tutorial. Versus Crag Hack ....

He starts with extra an extra card (ie two cards) in the first round and then rolls 3 cards in second round (whereas I have only two action points at that stage and have never yet been dealt a hand with two x 1 point cards), and also in every attempt so far he has had two instant attacks out of the three cards he draws in the second round. So, after two rounds I have two cards on the table if I am lucky (he usually destroys one or both with his instant attacks) , and he has 5. And its irrecoverable from there.

So Im obviously doing something wrong in pre game or setup? Do I need to create decks or packs or anything like before starting to optomise potential card quality? I had enough gold from the tutorial to buy the 25K gold stack, and I 'opened the pack' so are these new cards automatically added to my default pack?

Crag he is beatable with your starter deck even if he may prove a little tough. Check the Dimension Games forum, there is a DoC thread there plus a newcomer guide that may help. It also includes some redeem codes for extra packs and goodies so go get them

Ok Thanks for the info!

Yeah I beat him since posting, I think I was unlucky the first few tried he kept rolling instant attack cards in the second and third rounds which snuffed me out.

I will read the guides - one question though, do we need to assemble or create packs or decks to optomise our cards? Or do we just unlock the available packs and then use the default deck consisting of all the cards?

Your deck can always use improvement and the usual way is getting packs/boxes with the hope that you get cards you want or that you can at least use. Packs may cover different sets so it is better to check mmdoc.net so that you know your options. But the rule of the thumb is, the more affordable, the better. Only exception are the mini packs at 2k, ignore those.

Hi again Elvin, and thanks again.

I'm not really sure Im using the correct terms or asking this the correct way that makes sense. But once I spend my resources to acquire new cards (packs, decks boxes Im not sure of correct terminology here), I then 'unpack' what Ive purchased. Ive already done this using the resources I got from the tutorial campaign and also the redeem codes in the two threads you linked (thanks again). So far, easy.

But after that, do I need to go into all my cards and select specific cards to create an optimum 'deck' to then play with?

Right now I just have all my cards in a huge bundle called inferno and am using that to play. I note that I had to remove several 'event' cards becuase the maximum was 8 before I could save.

But other that than every card I own is currently included in this deck. Should I be trimming or optomising this in some way to make it more effective?

Yep. The trouble with a big deck is that You get lower chances of drawing useful cards. Most decks try to circumvent this by having the minimum number of cards in them, which is (not counting the obligatory Hero and Event cards) 50.
