This wave of purpur breath I bathe in
Envelopes the venomous pores on the skin
Pale leather tethers to another
The link breaks
It is free

Floating in nebulae beyond the eye's reach
We float
We floated
And we've let eachother down
And now we've let eachother drown
Into the abysmal nothingness

Try and crawl our way up

Forces of volatile nature push me deeper
I extend my arm
I extend my mind
And reflect
But myself I perplex
With the question
How

Cover me
In dirt
Rocks
Ashes
Cover me and put a tombstone above
But let the memory slowly fade
And when it's almost gone
Engrave on it words I proudly spoke
Before the acts of fate so cruel

Because I know you love me
Because I know I love you

Leo's Fangs

Serenity
Such a misleading feeling
The perception of safety becomes our own demise

I've trusted
We've trusted
We have all felt secure
But deep inside it's hidden
And locked within our unreachable
Unconscious
Fear
Of being afraid and alone
And left behind
Our only way to be truly safe

In the moment of my weakness
I've put my trust in Leo
I've let my heart
End up between Leo's fangs

                   25. 9. 2017.

Tonight

I saw you
This eve
How you've changed your colors
Vibrant as they always were
With a dark twist at the end of the lips

I saw you
This eve
I distinctly remember the person I've known
Bathed in sunlight and an aura of life
Now resembling the Reaper above my soul

Tonight I just wished to see you again
But my wish did not come true without a twist
For I've seen you, there's no mistake
But now it was for the first time

Tonight your facade held strong
A glorious smile as sharp as a knife
A wicked gaze of pure contempt
With just a tiny crack enough for me to know

The facade won't hold
And when it crumbles it will show
All the regret and pain it was meant to hide
But by then I will long be gone

                   28. 9. 2017.

Had It All

The right words never come at the right time
You said it yourself
And you've proven it to be true

This charade I have seen throughout
Even though you had hoped I couldn't

Did it come as a surprise
Sometime before sunrise
That you couldn't close your eyes?

Well, deep down I like it when it hurts
All the stress and overthinking getting to you
Forcing you to go on and on to no end

And deep down I like it when you cry
Realizing that all you had to do was try

Everything I asked for was honesty and trust
Only now I know it was too much
And everything going south
I tried to prevent
Never once did you want to comprehend

Even when you cast me away
Like a pebble into a lake
I gathered all my strength to make you see
That you had it all
Until you gave up on me

Go now
Enjoy another embrace
While it's still not as cold as stone
But don't come back and show your face
When you, like me, end up abandoned and alone

                   30. 11. 2017.

Waste

I've been driven all the way through
Mercilessly kill myself
All that I do

Just when you think you had me
I lunged straight forward
Make you bleed

Shed those tears
Tears like crimson rain
And feed my purpose
My purpose is my way

Spill those words
Words like venom's taste
And feed my hate
My love goes to waste

                   14. 12. 2017.

Senseless Senselessness

And now the pieces return to their places
And now the curtains fall
And now the lights are out
And now the love's gone

What has been
Has been
What should've been
Hasn't been
What will be
Will be
What should be
Won't be

Only things I'm left with
Anger and regret
Only things you're left with
Nothing and no one

                   18. 12. 2017.

Drift

It's laid out for you
This heart still beating
An offering sincere
And yet you drift
You drift away

It's given you all
This servant to your bidding
And offering sincere
And yet you drift
You drift away

You drifted away

So turn now
If only for a moment
And face what you've done
And turn now
If only for a moment
Say clearly what you've become

And if you cannot
Then disappear like you always do
Disappear and fade away
Like a nightmare in the morning
Washed away by the sun

                   24. 12. 2017.

The Cull

Of figments and whims
Of sleepless nights
And disturbed dreams
Of lost and found
Of boundless and bound
And misery profound

Woven in a fashion obscure
Regrets entwined
Pain and devastation refined
Almost perfectly aligned
Pointed at their mark

The victim lying in a pool of blood
Fresh or stale
Soon there will be more

Butcher's blade rises
And of innocence sanguis drops

It has begun
Unsheathed
Unrelenting
The tool
Now cues the cull

                   5. 1. 2018.

Thrill

Alive cannot begin to describe
Seeing through the newborn's eyes
A fresh thrill
The way to truly feel

Finding way back to light
Never thought I might
Look back and genuinely smile
But it has been a while
And now I'll take my time
To savor what's finally mine

I'll never be sorry again
I don't care if you don't understand
My recovery unexpected
Maybe it wasn't a part of your plan
Luckily for me
I don't give a damn

This is a beacon lit once more
Shining brightly like before
A brilliant flash to set the pain ablaze
Focused firmly on this unfortunate craze
Befallen and overbearing
Now to rips I'm tearing

                   11. 1. 2018.

Less

Stretched beyond all means
Walking atop razor sharp beams
One misstep is a mistake
Paid in blood and paid in full

Aiming freely for the heart in the dark
Never one to miss the mark
A perfect score, never settle for less
When the moment is to forever last

Then take a look in the mirror
Reflections dance in their world
Of make believe and wild guesses
That the other side never confesses

The line is fine
Between the outshined and the divine
All of them heroes in the mirror
All until the glass shatters

And in one or two
When the other side comes through
Worlds collide, and vessels implode
The line that stands will erode

And in one or two
All will know who never knew
Who had no control over fate
Who accepts that it's all too late

In one or two
There will be more for me, less for you
Take your time and pay no mind
When there's just more of me
And less of you

                   22/23. 1. 2018.

Hey NoobX,
Not penning much these days...hoping to return to the cave and refocus on a book.

Anyway, no title, but merely an honest dabble...not yet approved by my internal-Editor.

---------------------------------------------------

The sky grew dark, amid thunder's peal
chilling our hearts,

The sun set far out of sight
while the moon hid all this night
as the wind howled cold ire
We held hands near the fire

The storm arrived, wailed for hours
our spirits dark, drenched by showers

The sun set far out of sight
the moon hid away this night
while the wind howled a cold ire
We held hands near the fire

Alert we waited, inside our keep
till made weary, we fell to sleep

The sun set far out of sight
the moon hid away this night
while the wind howled a cold ire
We held hands near the fire

The morning dawned, warm and bright
smiles and hugs, erased last night

Notion Of Emotion

I am lifted from my sleep
I return from an enigmatic trip
From inside my mind and soul
I slowly begin to assume control

The paralysis is starting to subside
As I lie in the sheets on my side
Wondering what had me woken
Wondering what had the slumber broken

A cool breeze dances through the window
Into my hair nested on the pillow
And as I begin to focus my sight
I realize that it's still night

Streetlight illuminates my room
Rays of light begin to bloom
And for the moment at least
My need for sleep ceased

I get up and sit straight
Rub my eyes and in silence wait
Not knowing exactly for what
The silence is suddenly cut

A laughter familiar echoes down the street
My heart starts to acceleratingly beat
I jolt up and to the window I glide
I fix my gaze to the happenings outside

A pair of figures walk together
Holding hands in the spring weather
And I recognize them very well
As my eyes begin to swell

I recall one of them once being me
Young and hopeful and full of glee
This phantom dissipates slowly
Into the realm of the lonely

And as my knees lose strength
I look down and start to descend
My back now posted against the wall
I find myself sitting on the floor

And as my face is traced with tears
The two figures into the night disappear
Everything around me freezes still
Everything I feel is a painful chill

Ages pass but the clock doesn't shift
Ages pass and my head I finally lift
I can wait no longer for a resolve
The frost around me I must dissolve

The figures are now long gone
Looking out I see no one
The wind still whistles its intricate tune
I am listening along with the Moon

I was really hesitant on posting more, but I decided to do it in the end because it's better to just straight out face what happened.  Experience tells me that avoiding the issue will ultimately lead you nowhere at best, or, make you implode from all that's been building up inside.

i just organized all my poetry by year. i have around 140 poems(more or less, since some of the files have more than one poem on a document). the sad part is, i can't post nearly all of them. some suck and many repeat themselves, and many others just won't be received well. most of my poetry is either one thing or the other, and neither one reflect who i am now, for the most part. it'd be almost like posting poetry from someone else.

of those i could post, they're really not something i'd want to release.

Funny thing - now that I've gone back and reread my older poems, I find that I can relate with them even more than I did waaay back when I first wrote them.  It's quite peculiar how things worked out for me up to this point; I'm inclined to say that it's not a coincidence at all...

The End Of The Line

Given enough time
Who would be the one that lies?
Who would be the one that severs
Everything that binds and ties?

              I

There's one and one
Before anything happened and began
There's one and one
Long before anything's been said and done

Here's one
Lost and stranded and almost gone
Here's one
Feeble and frail and coming undone

There's the other
A miracle
Salvation
Someone who bothered

There's one and one
Then there's two
There was one and one
Then there was something new

this is the poem i wrote my mom last mother's day:

you already know that i love you
more than words can say
but i'll make another attempt
to explain just how much, anyway.
you are the most generous person i know
taking care of everyone else first
you've taken care of us at our best
and you've taken care of us at our worst.
you care more about the world around you
even more than me, more than anyone else i know
you so obviously care more for those around you
than anyone else could ever hope to show.
you are the epitomy of what it is to be a mother;
you put up with all our pointless bullsnow
even when you want to strangle us
for acting like a gaggle of foolish tits.
your cares are for others, even nature
so much more than yourself
you are the good i could only aspire to be
knowing i could never match that myself.
you decided to have me and care for me,
even when i was an accident
and for that i can never repay you.
you are the hero that all mothers should represent.

I didn't write much last year.  What I did write was mostly recorded in my notebook, while only a handful of poems were posted here, so I decided to post what I managed to find and what I didn't destroy when **** hit the fan regarding my ex.

In

This void here I have created
This shallow grave for my mind
Here I've put everything
Everything out from the soul

Charred, tattered, or broken
Insignificant stimuli for the weak
My own manifestation upon this plane
Fading voiced laid to rest

In this house I welcome you
For it is here for each and all
Deep inside
And deep within

                  5. 7. 2017.

Can't Heal The Scar

My wish for the good to come true
Scarred me in my zealous quest

I hunted for the truth
Where lies flew free
One of them was enough
All of the truth to bury

What I got in the end
Lies that swirl in the pool of life
Lies that make a newborn wise
Wise enough to peacefully die

But lies are blades with a hundred sides
Each of them sharp to cut you twice
Leave you bleeding from a million wounds
For no lie cuts alone

One of these lies
Unknown to me at the time
Was, nothing more and nothing less
My wish for the good to come true
That scarred me in my zealous quest

                  6. 7. 2017.

The Start Of A Circle

I am looking for it
Forever will it be a thing
I cannot find if I look
I cannot find if I don't look
I cannot find
But it is there
Barely outside my face
I don't know for sure
I have never found it
Like snow in a lit furnace
Like fire in a freezing hell
It has eluded me all my life

Now, mind is worn out
That I cannot even say
How worn out it is
Or what I'm even looking for

                  8. 7. 2017.

*Several pages missing*

Confusion

In the deepest mist
Of a continuous haze
Confusion sets in
And takes full control

It leads wherever it pleases
To the darkest abyss
To the holiest of heavens
And always right back to the start

But it's truly a journey to remember
Every time it begins
It's never certain
And never clear

Upon an open palm
Once I was placed
My mind rejecting
What it saw

Yet I've learned to let go
And this palm I've seen
All of a sudden
Closed and crushed me within

Confused I find myself
At the same spot every time
But here I am now
Broken
I wait to be mended

                  19. 10. 2017.

The Skin That Bites (Slay It)

With glistening fangs
Like stars in the night
It strikes all down
Sows dread and fright

An abomination of madness
Vile creature from nightmares
Consuming our flesh
Craving out souls

Easily recognized
Always too late
No one survives

The gods fear it
The mortals worship
And I bring forth

Behold!
My spawn
Go and do my bidding

                  31. 10. 2017.

A New Page

Our former life we discard
Finding content which pleases us anew
Skin is shed
Eyes of a snake
And venom like trust you put in me

And venom through my blood runs
Burning veins and arteries like fire
Charred remains of my heart crumble in the wind
They're blown away
Lost beyond the horizon

Freedom I've tasted after so long
Sweet tast I'll savor alone
But not you
Horrid snake
You will not enjoy feeding off my lifeforce

                  13. 11. 2017.

Scattered Thoughts

In every way
Every glance
Things are changing
Nothing remains constant
Except my mind

Scattered, shattered
Smeared all over the place
In a cosmic playfield
All around myself

The will of a man
Forges an empire
The will of a man
Buries itself
In a garden of thorns

It hides there
With some fragments astray
Sulking in shadows
For it's unable
To gather them all
To fuse them back as one

                  13. 11. 2017.

Funny

Seems like a child's play
Oh, all alone on my way
Going somewhere I don't even condsider
Going down the road with fallen leaves ridden

Cold rain specks my cheeks
Cold gaze a reason seeks
A new reason will be found
And to my past I won't be bound

But it's funny how the world loves to spin
Turning upside-down, still with a grin
It feels indifferent towards our plight
Everything that happens is a normal sight

I won't try and bend its course
Its course is set and it's set in stone
But a lesson from it I'll learn
And just as indifferently my back towards you I'll turn

                  19. 11. 2017.

Kue

When most were fast asleep
enstranged behind the wheel
sick of the way things were
then made mute and detached.

Comfort and ease made kings
we pulled away disinterested
Yet more than we perished
so followed right from wrong.

Year passed as fallin' leaves
and we played the piper's tune
Sometimes angry, sometimes sad
but always withdrawn & powerless.

As greed grew inside the Dark
it spread across the globe
linking to the controllers
but some began to question.

Then questions were not allowed?
Machines designed to enforce?
Reporters became repeaters
and The Narrative ruled.

But will talking-heads dictate?
Must we listen without question?
Can Truth emerge again?
Can the world be freed?

Can division be thwarted?
Can our knowledge prevail?
Can all of US Unite again?
That depends on all of Kue.

Not a song, per se, but I don't have a better place to put it.

Under the cloudless sky I march through the desert filled with sands of my time.  In an endless hourglass that never turns I find myself lost again.  The flaming gusts cut at my cheeks and burn my skin to ash, leaving a black trail behind me.  The sun glares at the trail and evaporates it so that I might never seek a way back.
My soul I squeeze to try and quench my thirst, but all that comes out is dust that gets carried away by the wild winds.
An unremarkable wanderer left to the mercy of a world as nondescript and estranged.  An actor without a script on a stage without an audience.  A grain of sand on a neverending dune.
Where have the seas and fields, the mounts and wealds gone?  I try to not forget them, as if there was anything to keep in memory at all...

I can't be the only one
What is within
Shine on it to be seen

Silencing a heavy storm
Never knowing never known
Turning leaves, unravel dirt
Buried bones don't feel hurt

Riddling this
Clenching fist
Rising mist
But always pissed

Answer me
Do you believe
That what we are

One Art
BY ELIZABETH BISHOP

The art of losing isn’t hard to master;
so many things seem filled with the intent
to be lost that their loss is no disaster.

Lose something every day. Accept the fluster
of lost door keys, the hour badly spent.
The art of losing isn’t hard to master.

Then practice losing farther, losing faster:
places, and names, and where it was you meant
to travel. None of these will bring disaster.

I lost my mother’s watch. And look! my last, or
next-to-last, of three loved houses went.
The art of losing isn’t hard to master.

I lost two cities, lovely ones. And, vaster,
some realms I owned, two rivers, a continent.
I miss them, but it wasn’t a disaster.

—Even losing you (the joking voice, a gesture
I love) I shan’t have lied. It’s evident
the art of losing’s not too hard to master
though it may look like (Write it!) like disaster.
