Civilization 5: Brave New World Expansion
Did anyone bother to pick up their copy of the so-called expansion of Brave New World?
You know it is available at EB-Games(Gamestop)stores as a physical DVD copy, right? Well, at least, I did.
Turns out, that this expansion, just like Gods and Kings, is only to render your Civ. 5 Vanilla version a little more fancier. Take 2 and Firaxis were marketing this expansion as a stand-alone expansion but, surprise, surprise, it is just a game redux patch with plenty of features redone and new factions. No version 2.0 nor, version 3.0, just yet. Plus, the dev. dares to give a name to it with a totally new intro. to your favorite Civ. 5 game.
Now, only activatable through Steam, which, in turn, just upgraded their game client platform to a future Xbox One compatible interface. I wonder what will become of the traditional PC system. All-in-one unit or console, otherwise, will become disconnected from the now, interactive cloudish-like internet forever or, what-else I would be missing out here?
Anyway, played a whole game already(not finished completely, though)and, looks way more interesting. The overall game is so immersive and the advisors are not so dumb anymore. The diplomacy is really working out, now. Spies actually show up, now and, do some real good at gathering all sorts of information and intelligence in very little time(regardless how they have to get there for doing their job).
Fully covered everything(other than confidential tactics and strategies through military defence+territorial deployment ways of mine).

Bought it day 1. I love the expansion. For as simple as trade is, it is amazing how much it completes the game. The changes to culture are also very welcomed and the new civilizations are a lot of fun.
I strongly recommend the game to any Civ 5 fan.

i absolutely adore the expansion and i've already tried out four of the new civs (poland, venice, brazil, indonesia), while my dad tried morocco and the zulu under my watchful eye. They're all really good, actually.

New expansion is fantastic, although it does need some tweaking on the balance. Love it!

I bought Civ 5 with all extras except Brave New World during the Steam sale and found it highly entertaining but time devouring. But this Brave New World thing will have to wait until it gets on sale which I can imagine will take a while.
