Heroes Without Limits

I am working for a wile in my own MOD called Heroes Without Limits, but it is far away from my objective. As it will take to long to be ready I am sharing some of my work.

Heroes Without Limits - Creatures Pack v 0.9

more then 56 new creatures including:

Ratman,Dryad, Satyr, Faun, Giant Scorpion/Spider/Crab, Flying Carpet, Camels, Anubis, Abomination, Kraken, Shai-Ulud, Keberseneuf, Doom Beholder, Zerling and a lot more...

All with stack abilities (shoot, Death Stare, Bind,...) and defined strength...

Once installed they will appear in any game at random

Some replace old creatures like lava sharpshooter, Artic Sharpshooter but 56 of them don't.

Installing:

Just unzip the file at your heroes folder, it doesn't replace anything in your game.

Later active it in your Mods manager and PLAY

This is an old mod that I have modified. Originally it allows you to learn (for $2000) new skills in some cities. I have added all the skills to each city special buildings (magic Pond/ luck fountain/ look out tower/ wall of knowledge/ library/... all of them)

Is just right click in the city building to look at the description.

new units are perfect,
but this unit (Desert Archers) is almost everywhere on the map

Thanks for the feedback.

It won't happen anymore. I was testing the desert archer and accidentally I have posted the MOD with too much of them.

Now he have only 5% of chance to replace lvl 2 creatures.

Just download the mod again.

Almost everything I have already done:

Heroes Without Limits

A lot of game modifications:

Water adventures
The mod will place random creatures, water shrines (from HOTA), whirlpolls, Poseidon City (Hota adaptation), some fish (just to ornament the game)...

All to make the water a more interesting place to explore

New object images

New temples, Learning stones, taverns, caves...

Just to make the game more beautiful. No modification in the original objects.

New GEMS

A lot of different kind of gems: diamonds, rubys,... each with different proprieties. Right-click to read.

New commander/level 8 images

The mos beautiful commander and lvl 8 creatures I have found till now

New creatures

More then 56 new creatures. (the HWL creature patch was attached)

Few New objects

- Warlock Cave
Will open a shroud area around the hero if he is an warlock

- Shrine lvl 4
The name says everything

I was forgetting an important modification:

New navigation skill concept

First:

If the map have few water tiles all initial heroes navigation skills will be replaced by logistic. If the hero was specialized in navigation he's specialization will be replaced by logistic specialization.

Second:
The navigation reduces the movement points (MP)cost to enter and leave the ship. The cost to enter the ship is 2000 MP now.
If the hero have less then this MP he will loose movement in the next day till he have spent 2000 MP.
Each level of navigation skills reduces by 500 MP the cost to enter and leave the ship.
So... with expert navigation you can leave the ship, attack a city, enter the ship and get away in one TURN, if you have enough MP.

The skill is much more useful now.

I have a problem with shared. Wherever I click it pops up an advertiser which my antivirus blocks instantly. I see no free download link at all, everything send to crap or have to register.

Please use wikisend (change in properties to keep files 90 days), or app.box.com, mediafire. Anything not giving a head ache, have mercy on us.

HWL - New upgrades

HWL - New Upgrades

Just unpack at your main heroes folder

I have made some modifies into the new upgrades.

1-It's compatible with WHL mod.

2-To upgrade each creature different constructions are needed.

For instance: Centaur captain needs the upgraded homestead and the upgraded centaur house to be upgraded to sylvian centaur.

Only the lvl 7 -> lvl8 upgrade needs a special house which is build with right click at town hall (Now you need ALL dwellings to be built to construct this structure)

3-The cost of the special building is always 30 of the city resource (the resource used to build the lvl 7 creature) + 15 mithrill + some gold

4- Some minor modifications were added. (the special construction will always displays it costs if you rigth click the town hall)

5- New upgrades + lvl 8 upgrade

Centaur -> sylvian centaur
Unicorn -> dream unicorn

Crusader -> paladin

Master gremling -> santa gremling
Steel golem -> gold golem -> diamond golem

Wight -> ghost

Magic elemental -> prime elemental

Beholder -> doom beholder
Minotaur -> blood minotaur

Zombie -> mummy

Lizard warrior -> lizard hunter

hobgoblin -> boar
Thunder bird -> electrical bird

Effreet -> rajah efreet
Horned demon -> fire demon (need fire order)

My idea was to correct some things that I disliked at the original mod:

-When you build the special structure you won't give a sheet to the second upgrade of the weaker creatures (exception for santa gremling). all your gold was spend at the lvl 8 creature. Now you can second upgrade the small creatures much before you can upgrade the lvl 7 to lvl 8.
-I don't like repainted creatures nor some upgrades not connected like pikeman -> nomad or horned demon -> werewolf.
-The costs of the special buildings was to unbalanced. Some of them were to easy to built and others to difficult.

Is the HWL at the top of mods at the Mod manager??


Evil eye needs portal to become doom beholder.

I still have a problem with level 8 units:

oh, and Doom Beholder is awfully big and does not fit at all in the battlefield
