Windowed Mode on Windows 8?
Hi, I was wondering if anyone got this game to run in Windowed Mode on Windows 8? Sadly it's all they give out now for warranty customers here.
I was on Windows 7 and I had no problems, as I could change the color to 16bit, but on Windows 8, there's no option for that on desktop. I've opened properties to HoMM3 .exe, changed compatibility mode to all different Windows with 16bit color mode, but I still get that error about having to change the color settings on desktop.
I've even tried running it as Administrator and I still get the same problem.
I've done a search here on the forum too, but sadly that's been no help.
I've enjoyed this game for many years, but I hate playing in full screen mode, so I hope someone can help me. 
I have Windows Home Premium 64bit.

A friend of mine sent me a website to download a HD mod for this game, which lets me run the game perfectly fine in a windowed mode environment, but it looks and feels a thousand times better. Funny enough, the website on the program links to this forum.

When I saw "HD mod" as the title in the forum list, I ignored it, as I was just interested in playing this game in windowed mode.
Perhaps the first post of that thread should be edited, so the search feature on this forum will pick up on windowed mode, as it didn't when I searched. Either way, people will be linked here with a solution through specific wording.
