Beckham is one of the biggest reasons why England are in WC now, Sven-Göran seems to bring out the best of him. His attitude when he has his england jersey on is a good example to everyone how a player should act nowadays.
A midfield with Dyer-Scholes-Gerrard-Beckham is with the french one the best in the world in my opinion.

WOOOOOHOOO, Newcastle did trash Charlton and Shearer scored his 200th premier league goal, more then 50 more than the guy thats placed second. And Chelsea lost to Man Utd at home which means that:
If Newcastle get one more point their into Champions League next season and that Shearer is the best one ever (But we alrdy knew that didnt we?)
To bad my RL football doesnt go aswell as it does for Newcastle

yupp only amateur tho, we had a cup now...let one goal in the whole cup. The goal that meant that we lost final with 1-0. And i had to play the full game except a few quick subs injured

la la la, i just thought id activeate this thread again to remind you that the worlds most in form player is Swedish. His name is Fredrik Ljungberg, his goal that sank Chelsea today in the FA cup final was a beuty.

Just though I'd comment on that. The cup final was a nice even match up untill half time. Chelsea and Arsenal are actually quite even, but once Arsenal get one goal un against us, they will nevwr give their lead away. Although there was an offside on the second goal, I have to admit it was nicely executed.. the final curl into the corner of the net was breathtakingly beautiful.
Wengar himself said that the match could easily have gone either way and that Chelsea are a quality side. We were nicely evenly matched and it was a great game. I'm inclined to agree.

im sure your missing a few, but since i cant even remeber their names either, ohwell, who else was on the brazil national team inbetween 90-95, i remeber they had the most amazing line up ever

lol HALT, yeah why mention Michel Platini or Franz Beckenbauer when we have russian dudes that no one ever have heard of?
As for Netherlands id say that their best player at that time was Marco Van Basten not Gullit or Koeman (And no Catherine im not saying that just because Gullit screwed up Newcastle a few years ago ). Van Basten was amazing when he was at his best.

la la la Arsenal are premier league champs 01/02, must say it doesnt bother me too much. Im happy as long as Man Utd dont win
Newcastle will finish 4th which i must say is really great concidering there positions the last years. Make Bobby Robson "Sir Bobby Robson" dammit, he deserves it 
Kinda fun tho that Arsenal won the title at Old Trafford and they did beat em too with 1-0 (Only assist on Ljungberg tho ).

I don't think it's possible to isolate three
I mean, answer me this.. what makes a good/ great player? Is it goal scoring ability? Is it being a great shot stopper? Is it pace? Is it luck? Is it free kicks or penalties (Like Mihalovic)? Is it man marking? Is it the ability to get away with murder? Is it stamina? Is it tactics? Is it selfishness or selflessness?
