Poll Question:
Which TCG should I play (casual)?
Hi, guys!
I am looking for a simple & fast, yet fun game to play on my tablet. I would like to try one of the many card games, but I don't know, which one to choose - and I don't want to spend a lot of time trying one, that I eventually won't enjoy. Could you suggest me that one, which conforms (the most) of the following criteria?
- the game should not last too long (say up to 10-15 minutes)
- it should be easy to learn the majority of mechanics in a short time
- I should have chance to win against another player even if I play it just casually
- there should be a lot of options how to win certain battle
Please, feel free to express your opinions, why do you like certain game the most and which one would you suggest. Thanks

For short, fast-paced games, Duel of the Champions is for you. It has tablet support, too.
When it comes to online Magic, there is really only one option for casual play, and that's Duels of the Planewalkers. The MTGO, Wizard's official "game", it will require you to purchase cards via bots like you would in real life. The problem with Duels of the Planeswalkers is that it is VERY slow paced, due to all the animations. Plus, you will get opponents faster in DoTC, almost instantly.
Don't really know much about Heartstone, but I guess Blizzard will find a weird way once again to get people hooked to it.

There is a simple browser-based TCG I've been playing on and off for years. It's called Urban Rivals. They also have an app for it.
It's very simple, doesn't require real money if you're not in a hurry to get a lot of new cards and a match usually lasts well under 10 minutes.
It is however, not nearly as complex as the games you mentioned, so if you want something more strategic, you're better off with Duel of Champions.

Hearthstone is the one for casual gamers. DoC is much more competitive, and a fair bit harder to learn. (Worth the effort though, it's fun)

Magic: the Gathering by far. It is fairly easy to learn, but has lots of room to grow. Also it is a much safer bet than these new digital things when it comes to long-term existence. MtG has been alive and kicking for 20 years now and is currently doing better than ever before. Will Hearthstone and Duel of Champions make it past five? There's no telling!
Also, while Hearthstone may have all the really pretty animations, in my opinion nothing will ever beat playing with real cards against an opponent you can see.
Then there's the thing that as far as I can tell, Hearthstone and Duels of Champions don't currently support matches of more than two players (to anyone more familiar with them than I am, please correct me if I'm wrong!), whereas some of the best fun I've had with Magic was during four-man free-for-alls (I'm not personally a fan of team matches, but those are pretty popular too).
