I don't think it's a matter of confirmation; we all knew half-life 3 is going to come out some day or other, just never knew when.
I mean, why wouldn't they? It's the most demanded sequel of all time, a HUGE gaming gold mine. They'd be idiots if they didn't make it.
I'm just waiting for a release date, cause it's coming out.

I'm honestly looking forward to Portal 3 more than HL3. Guess I just didn't enjoy the half life series as much as I did the Portal series.
But what Valve is doing is inexcusable: How can they announce a third episode and then not even say anything about for over half a decade?

Half-life 1 and 2 were PC only games.
I fear that Half-Life 3 would be flooding the console market too, so the game will be easy, short and nothing new...unless playstation 4 pushes the boundaries.

I hope that isn't the case. Maybe with the Steam Controller they don't need to simplize it...
