I guess it shouldn't surprise that much considering that over the years a friend of mine has spent well over 1000 euro to get all the hon alternate avatars.
Do not get me wrong I mean I spend way more than I should on games but paying the same money i did for Shades of Darkness (hope I'm not wrong)for an alternate art seems a bit excesive.
I mean this right here is why they have no motivation to make a good heroes game anymore, why spend two years of human resources and a lot of money to put a team together to make a game not so popular anymore when u can hire a guy to make an alternate art in a couple of days which will give you the same revenues. Sad but true I guess.

the scales are certainly not balanced, i completely agree with you and it is sad. I was a huge H5 player, H6 got released and because of all the crap surrounding it, i actually never finished it, nor have the interest to.
It would be gr8 if they could somehow combine H3 & H5 together and create H7 - after the big stuff up with H6 though i am not certain they have the Kahoonas?

The only way for heroes 7 to be viable financially, is to make it online only and release it with2 factions ( let's say haven and inferno) and then release content ( factions, neutrals, artifacts, maps etc) for cash without the new stuff being overpowered as opposed to vanilla stuff; otherwise they will just make a crappy low budget game which this time will bury the game for good.

The price is a joke indeed, but it is no surprise that some people bought it. I mean, most of the top, pro players that are playing on the tournaments etc. are always having between 3k and 9k seals banked for new expansions. They are also playing a lot and when they get all the cards from new expansion, they don't have a way to spend their seals since they already got all of the stuff they needed.
LQDBrunt said that he would think about it if it was another hero, and not bloody Ishuma.

Hey guys, Samuel Jobin is answering questions on reddit.

He said that it is their UI redesign, but it is work in progress and nowhere near final.
You should check it out, some nice questions and answers about new platforms, draft game mode(which I would LOVE to see, this is the only thing where Hearthstone is better than DoC IMO) and some other stuff.

Thanks for link RMZ...interesting they talk about Base Set 2 for next expansion. A base set means alot of new cards right? Like +200?

I really don't know what Base set 2 is. Heard it a lot since September but never got normal answer about it.

i was wonderin as well, came up with a few theories on it but in the end what I am really sure of is that it will piss everybody off very much (especially players who have invested a lot of time\money in what will now be the hardly ever used base set 1 cards).
I mean I can bet that the rage will reach maximum levels, hunch confirmed by the extremely shady answers they are giving on this subject.
When it comes out u can use this post as a proof of my skills in forseeing Ubi's money making schemes.

A new base set is a normal thing in card games. Its a natural way how to update your game and keep the balance between new players and the long playing ones.
