I seriously can't believe this site is still going.
So in 2002-2005, I was a huge poster to this site. I don't even know how many people are still here that may remember me.
When I first started posting on this site, I was 12 years old. HOMM2 & 3 were some of my favorite games in the world.
Now, it's 2013. I'm 23 years old now. Yet this site keeps on going. With a completely new userbase, most of whom I wouldn't even recognize. There's VERY few people I would recognize from a site like this. The only usernames that mean anything to me right now? Hexa, Romana, RedSoxFan3, Valeria, MightyMage...and that's about it.
I just came back here to see how things are going, if the site was even still up and going. And it is, and it still has a thriving community. This was one of my first online communities, at the age of 12. And it hasn't changed a bit. And I snowing love it. In the age of Reddit, Youtube, Facebook, etc. this site is still going strong, unchanging. It brings me back to much simpler times. Back when being a internet commentator was a rarity, instead of the majority. Valeria, if you're still around, you Russian mothersnower, thank you. Thank you for creating this incredible community.

That's the thread that made me come join this thing in the first place.
Mvass is still here. RSF appeared and disappeared a year or two ago.
MM occasionally still around. Everyone else here is people you don't know or remember.
Valeriy hasn't been around in ages, either.
Anyway, I think we can all agree that HC is the best backwater forum in the world.

Also, yes, this is easily the best backwater forum. It's also immortal, performed the blood ritual myself.

LHW? You're going to have to refresh my memory. If Valrery isn't around anymore, who runs the site? Does he just keep paying for it without any actual input?
And yes. I've been browsing through this forums last 2-3 years history . Best backwater forum yet. It's managed to escape the mainstream internet (Facebook, Youtube, Reddit, etc.) while still maintaining an active community. It's sad to see from a long time internet user that this has become the minority. I wish the original 2001-2004 community was still around. I actually had a Romanian girlfriend my freshman year of college. Hexa and Romana would be so proud.
Woockie! Of course I member you! (Granted, i didn't until I saw the username. It wasn't until then the flood of memories hit me) e Of course, my memory is a bit hazy from 12 year old me, but I remember the username. You were a legendary user back in the day to 12 year old me . One of the few that acheived 5 red stars.

Holy snow. That was that RP thread that got really big, wasn't it? I vaguely remember that. I was a big part of that.
It's crazy to think. I got into high school and i stopped reading/writing completely. I guess it was part of trying to fit in. I'm 23 years old now, and I've started picking up writing again for the first time in 5-6 years. Looking back through all my old feedback, it seems to be one of the few things I got positive feedback for. Nowadays, I'm done with schoool and i started writing again when HC comes back into my life. I'm going to try to stick with it this time. I really am.
In the event that I don't, I want to send a special thank you to RedSoxFan3. He was one of my first friends online, and in the event he ever returns here, I want him to know the things he posted and said here didn't go completely ignored, even a full decade later.
In the event that i don't continue posting here (Which i likely won't ,after a couple of weeks) and he someday returns, would someone pass on this thread to him? Everyone deserves to be appreciated, and none more so than him.

Let's Have War was a lot of fun, even though I didn't understand how it worked at first. If you remember, I was banned from it, then rejoined under the name of Deimos.
Hexa and Romana have been gone for a long time. MM still pops in from time to time, but I think he's busy with the military and stuff. Val isn't interested in HoMM anymore, but he still does some site-related work from time to time. I'm the most active of the members that were around in your time.

Heh I was 14! Recently I revisited some old forums I used to post on. Interesting to note how my mind has developed/changed!
It's a nice community. I usually rebel/troll overtly strict communities but that is because the members themselves are too uptight and selfrighteous. Here everyone are just kind and funny and you have to respect this.
I probably should donate a buck ^^

Heh, back in the days before the Bards Glade Pyre was even around. Looking back on my writing as a kid though, /shudder. I should post some of my more recent works sometime.

Heh. I'm surprised you remember that much. My football playing days are over, unfortunately. After I graduated high school, I really didn't have much of a career in that. I also lost 130 pounds (Down to 200 from 330), so the chubby face is gone as well. No issues? Hah, I think you're remembering me with rose-tinted glasses.
I'm currently now living in Alaska, right outside Denali National Park, working as a cook. Interesting to see the paths life take us to, huh?

I'm better than I was back then, that's for sure.  The years have been good to me. I now mostly argue in the OSM and spam in the Wastelands.
