I think I joined about when you left, I remember that you exist. The advertisements pay for it, Val rarely interacts, and generally only with he moderators. I talked to him probably more than any non moderator this year for the other website (AoH), although still probably less than 2 pages of text.

The community was already thriving and going when I first joined back in early 2002. I think it was founded maybe late 2000/early 2001?

Man, it feels so weird when I think about it. At some point I got really into HoMM2 and I go on google and look for maps for it and I find this place. I spend weeks lurking and then register in goddamn June 2001. You know what feels even weirder? Most of the people I knew are long gone and I don't care about HoMM anymore and frankly apparently neither do most of you judging by the traffic, but I still come here every bloody day for no other reason than I've been doing so for the past twelve years. I've officially been a member of HC for more than half my life and it's scary.
