I actually got the shaman weapon...
RIP me

But, on the bright side that seemed to have influenced my pity timer, as I got Kingsbane and Aluneth directly afterwards. And I only yet opened 13 packs.
I really wanted that Kingsbane. I think it's time for weapon-Rogue again!

EDIT: I also noticed a surprising amount of spellstones. I actually had to dust one of the priest ones (those will be a dream for my Quest-Nzoth Deck) already.

Dungeon Run is quite fun I must say. There's also a daily quest for running it, so it will at least not be forgotten Maybe they should add more of them?

Back to the gameplay itself it really does have this RPG Dungeon Crawler feel. Some of the bosses have really unfair powers so even if you have a great deck you will be obliterated either by bad draw or not having right cards (like Taunts). I had a really good Mage deck with +3 spell dmg Passive which was ravaging most of the bosses but fell short with the one that has 'every minion you have has Charge' one. But who ever said Dungeon Crawlers are fair? You should play Return to Castle Ravenloft tabletop game or Darkest Dungeon on PC for instance to see what I mean

To sum it up, they had a really good idea, time will only tell if the player base which is reward-oriented will play it...

Dear god I had to open the tv to have something to do during the Dungeon Run wait times. Horrible, yet it is quite fun

I got Aluneth as a free weapon and Ixlid from a pack. I got like 8 Epics I think, which was very good. Mostly Mage cards so I know which class I will be playing the most for the first week or so

I'm not quite sure how to utilize Ixlid for now. He's probably best suited for ramp decks in which you can imidately follow up with something.

I've got 5 Epics in 23 packs and no duplicates. After the horrid big pack opening when KotFT was released I think this is quite solid...

I didn't play that much but from what I can tell Warlock relly did get strong Control tools in this expansion. And it's really easy to trigger Amethyst Spellstone...

EDIT: Oh, so when your going to meet a boss is randomized? So you can get a single character as your second or 7th boss in a run (only his stats are increased). Interesting.

Dungeon run is massively fun!

I just completed my first run. I went paladin and on the last boss (The dragon with treasure) I had a 17 att. Windfury Tyrion who smashed his face.
It was hardcore mode because he had destroyed all the treasures himself. But damn it was fun!

Primodial Wand really did the trick for me. It won me 50% of all my boss fights, which I probably would not have won if they had had hard removal.

But as you point out Blob, how will the reward-based community react to dungeon runs?
I am happy and satisfied with my first win, but I would have loved to get a reward. A high five, a pack, a mere 10g or something.. Why? Not because of Hearthstones reward system or lack off in some cases, but because I am motivated in general by praise and acknowledgement. So in the end I would love something, just a pad on the shoulder maybe

I have now cleared with Shaman and warrior as well.

I went dragon-recruit warrior, which went pretty well. I went up against Anzari as the last boss. I won with a 19 windfury Deathwing Just like my paladin run the Primodial Wand did wonders for me!

As for the shaman run. Jades. LOTS and LOTS of jades.

I'm gonna need to sit down on this mode a bit. I've played like 3 times and I always end up loosing on battle 6-7. I think I'm a bit unlucky with the boss match-ups.

Hunter Spellstone is crazy. I know it's quite easy to counter it with a boardclear but if you don't have it you're as good as dead. A card that makes such a huge tempo swing (and it's easy to trigger, even it's first upgrade is already dangerous) will probably get nerfed at some point, that's what I think at least...

EDIT: Forget it, I'm dropping Dungeon Run. Had the Perfect Razakus Priest deck (plus Reno and DK), then I of course drew Blackseed as the 7th boss (for the third time in a row) who has one of the most unfair Hero Powers (especially at this point in the Run). Managed to clear his board and hand, so he topdecked Living Mana. Yeah I know it's against AI and for fun so it shouldn't bother me, but I simply can't get lucky enough with this... thanks but no thanks.

Since release I have only played 3 games on ladder. I have though put insane amounts of time in Dungeon Run.
It is the most fun I have EVER had in Hearthstone. This lovely singleplayer part of the game is what I have been seeking for so many years. This is so fun!

Well Dungeon Run is a brilliant idea on their side, exactly the kind of single player mode you would want in a f2p game... it actually has some narrative, and it sports a lot more replayability then your standard 'Adventures'.

Me? When I cool off maybe I'll give it another spin. But for now, with my limited time I want to rather focus on getting packs... I have a few more other video games to play in my free time so I really need to "manage my resources"

Glad to hear at least your satisfied with the mode @emil, you had some really high hopes for this and they delivered it seems. I suppose they should build around this idea, with fresh new content from time to time the game might not need anything else in terms of single player expierience.

PS: Forgot to mention one funny fight in DR. Ixlid is probably a very hard boss if you have no means to stop his Hero Power (generates a minion that insta-kills you when it hits face). Well that is if you're not playing Priest with a Potion of Madness on hand

It has so much more replayability. It is so great. I really should also focus on packs, but for me the ranked stuff is just boring. It is 1-5 decks that are made of the same horrible cards. (Jades!)
In here I just face an unfair AI that I can beat with the right choices.
To be honest I feel like this might end up being the best expansion so far. At least for me. The amount of hours I have put into this expansion almost exceeds the time I put into the best expansion Un'Goro.
The thing I still need to explore is ranked, which means I need to farm quest to get packs, which I find sooooo exhausting.

Ofc! But I still like the Un'Goro one more. Anduin spamming Mind Blast from Lysa wins all

Almost a week with the expansion, and aside from Dunegon Run which some of us really enjoy, do you guys have any noteworthy observations about the new set? Yeah I know it's still early, but atm what I find quite interesting is that there are almost no must-craft cards. This time I'm holding onto my dust, and while I did craft Grumble (and so far Elemental decks do not pack the punch I was hoping them to be packing ), I'm completly unsure where to get from here...

Kingsbane seems solid, but it's limited to decks I don't usually play. Val'Anyr wrecked me in one of the decks I faced (yeah, Buffadin with Quest , a deck I want to play at some point), but is it craft worthy I'm not entirely sure. Master Oakheart seems nice, but when I looked through my decks it would only fit into Taunt Druid which is a semi-enjoyable deck atm. Rhok'delar appears fun, but in order to use it I would need to craft a lot more cards so it would be a big investment which I'm not sure of.

When it comes to Epics, so far Corridor Creeper is belived to be the Bonemare of the set, but I just opened it in a pack so this saves me the trouble. There are a few more interesting cards, like the minion Epic for Dragon Priest, but to make a "new and better" Dragon Priest I would need cards like Duskbreaker (no luck in packs). Actually maybe Dragon Priest is the way to go, it is my favorite Priest archetype...

I love it how the Anduin player didn't have Raza at turn 5 and he was surrounded by 10 other Anduins all trying to think what to do Quite a sweet way to poke fun of the deck imho.

Legendaries in the set are not so must craft so far I think, but SO many are good. Both Rogue Legendaries for example are very good. Burn Mage gains strength from Aluneth yet the deck works even without it, but I would craft it if I were to play that deck alot.

Epics on the other hand are insanely good this time around. I want Corridor Creepers. Unstable Evolution seems pretty good too, evolve into a charge minion, attack/trade and keep on evolving. I have seen some insane turns. I want to play Warlock but I am too cheap in using my dust so soon, and I didn't get any cards like Voidlords. I have some 5800 dust, so I should get most Epics if I wanted. I managed to get 2 Reckless Flurries in packs but I haven't figured out a Warrior deck I want to play (and where they work better than Brawls)

From Legendaries I have crafted only Alanna Dragoncaller so far. I know she isn't strong, but I just loove summoning all dem dragons and I wanted to play Big Spell Mage so I went there. This deck won't survive when aggro resurfaces properly, and it is starting to look a bit like it will. Just faced a Pirate Warrior and lost, lol.

Meta in Standard is harsh from what I see. A lot of decks are simply oldies updated with new cards.

Yeah there are strong, but most of them do not fit into many decks. They're more of a build around then throw into any deck types I think. For instance Voidlord is good, but only in Control Warlock. Flurry is good, but only in Armor Heavy/Control Warrior decks etc. Well, it's simply a decison of where I want to go. I'll wait a bit I think

so i've been playing pretty dedicated with control warlock (loads of new cards....like 14 from this expansion in the deck list) and enjoyed it so much using the darkness, rin, and the entry theme of Oakheart gives me chills...love it.

but now, at rank 3 everyone is playing secret tempo mage...tempo rogue...big priest...kazakus priest...

literally the copy/paste decks of previous expansion (with 2-3 new cards like corridor creeper). suckers....

Yeah Control Warlock is good with the new cards. I have the highest winrate from my decks with it atm. In Wild that is. It's super easy to tigger the Spellstone. I still don't have Hooked Reaver nor a Voidlord, but those would make the deck even stronger I bet (though spamming 3 1/3 for Warlock DK might not be an exactly good deal in some scenarios).
