I must congratulate both players though: keeping cool in these surprising scenarios (although Hunterace did almost facepalm on a few occasions) and still thinking strategically it's what shows those are truly good players. I would probably ragequit in some of those moments  (if I wasn't playing for the prize ofc).

Yea, that is exactly what I thought as well. Both RNG cards that can swing the game. Admittedly, with Rafaam the potential is shown each time you play the legendaries turn after turn while with Yogg it was a one turn hail Mary thing. From that point of view , Rafaam seems to be better designed.

Rafaam is a better version of Elise Starseeker as a card, cus you control the exact time you will tranform your deck and as such fits to decks like Zoo even. Plus he impacts the board cus he has a Taunt. Elise fits only into control decks (though I remember she was tried in various decks), cus you need to draw the Monkey first. His downside is ofc that he is a class Legendary.

Oh baby. 5 packs, that's like 750 gold. And Viper did all the dirty work. I just kicked back and enjoyed the show. Feels good man.
EDIT: Do you guys know if the packs were sent out yet? Or when does that happen?

Will do later on. Need more cards though, I think that's my main issue at the moment. Crafting classic cards seem to be a given. I'll get back on track on the 12th, see the situation then. Luckily, I had someone kind enough help me do my dailies, so I should be doing a bit better.

I have a Standard Mech Hunter deck which I took from somewhere and it's pretty good (I modified it a bit due to lack of a few cards). I belive Mech Hunter doesn't use any Epics (I added Nine Lives because I had it and it fits the deck) and uses only two Legendaries: Leeroy and Zilliax which are must crafts for any player either way. Some people use Flark but he is not a must have. I went for this deck after I was a victim of the very nasty Missle Launcher + Venomizer combo.

The solo content won't go anywhere for a while. I say, keep buying packs to hit that Legendary that might help you right now and start saving up gold for solo after that.

Toast goes 19-0 with his mid-range Hunter. Tried Ladder today with similar deck although I knew how it would end up. I also tried a few games with Token Druid and Mech Hunter. Didn't win a single match on rank 19. Either it's true what they say about EU server being harder then US or... I'm just so bad at this game

Packs, but it really isn't cost efficient. It's meant to be a nice bonus and not a big reward, I suppose.

We need to see what they have in store for us. Supposedly it's only packs for rewards, but the way they are teasing the content might give hope for something more:

Uhh solostuff! Great. I cannot wait. I have been REALLY dissappointed since Boomsday.. So I am hoping for something more story driven.
I got a blizzcon ticket yesterday I am going to my first blizzcon ever. I am pretty snowing psyched.!

Good for you emil! If I remember correctly you're from Denmark? Quite a voyage before you. Hope they learned something at least and will deliver a great expierience after the letdown which last years Blizzcon was. It's about damn time they announced some new big games (not mobile I hope) or somehow redeem themselves in my eyes.
I'm sorry to hear you're not happy with Hearthstone even after RoS release which I find to be a solid expansion, a big progression over Boomsday and even RR.

Oh man, I have been wanting to go to Blizzcon for a long time. I have the money and time now, so why the hell not? I know last year was a bit of a misfire - but I believe that the sheer experience is enough for me
Well, the solo content just have not been quite good enough imo. I am not a puzzle guy, so boomsday was not for me.
Rumble was meeh.. :/
