WTH, 3 Legendaries, ur so lucky

I am truly happy with my Legendaries this set, I just got a Golden Malfurion the Pestilent from a pack. Now I am only missing Jaina from the DK:s, so I will craft her asap I think. Just like I crafted all the Old Gods just because I wanted them haha.

The new brawl is sweet, I am getting to use cards I would never use. This is smart from Blizzard.

Damn dude 3 legendaries one of them golden no less! Congratulations, I'm happy for you.

And yeah I'm having a blast with the brawl as well, a lot more fun than laddering atm. Enjoyed the meatwagon combos in some of the decks that is still a lot of fun.

Ugh, third duplicate Epic from KotFT in such a short timespan (and a s*it one to boot). Seriously I really want this expansion to end, it's so underwhelming and boring for me so far, brings back the good ol' Gadgetzan times...

That aside, do you guys think I should dust one Murloc Warleader? I did regret not disenchanting that one Call of the Wild back when it was nerfed, but I really think that this card does not loose that much and I play Murloc decks quite frequently...

Well there you have your answer. Warleader is still strong and just as good as he was before vs control decks. The nerf only really becomes noticeable in creature based matchups. So no I wouldn't dust him in your particular case. If you don't play murlocs much, definitely dust him.

Yeah it is still good so if I were you I wouldn't dust it, you would never be able to play Murlock decks without the Warleaders.

Meeting a lot of Deathrattle Hunters on the ladder, so cool, silence has proven it's worth in gold. Also "whirlwind-warrior" is seeing some play. And I am beating Jade Druids finally ^^ 490 wins with my Warlock, can't wait to see him animateed

Yeah, even with the nerf it's hard to imagine a Murloc deck without two of those guys. One of the rare Epics I've always kept two of...

Btw I'me nearing another 1600 dust and I'm wondering what Legendary to craft next. Here are some Legendaries that I'm currently taking into account from top to bottom and why:
- Shaman DK - I currently enjoy Evolve Shaman pretty much (again) and I wonder if he really makes the deck that much stronger.
- Y'Shaarj - the last Old God I lack plus there are a few decks that can be build around him.
- Sindragosa - I want her, really, but I'm afraid she's not that much playable. I might get bored with her quickly. Her uses are pretty limited outside of greedy decks I think.
- Jaina DK - cool card, but only in one type of deck I think. Still I do like Elemental decks. Pairing this with Sindragosa wouldn't be that bad...
- Finja the FS - well, cool and all but I don't know... my Murloc decks would profit from him though.

Help me guys, give me some feedback It would be best if you have expierience with those cards (either on your side or the opponents).

Crafted YSharj like 2 weeks into the expansion to play big priest and it's really fun if you highroll but very easy to get frustrated if things dont go well. So maybe not for you not to mention he only really plays a role in gimmick decks.

I love DK Jaina and had a lot of fun with his list

Is my DK Jaina deck which went from 10 to 5 in 24 games. I love it but it really only started working once I added Tony and Sindragosa, mostly because you need a solid gameplan for when you dont draw your death knight and playing all draw to get to jaina quickly still lost you the game if she was in the bottom 10 cards.
Antonidas is there to give you the burst neccesary to kill priests and warlocks and Sindragosa just everything in the deck. She's a good body and gives you a waterelemental in the lategame (which is a big deal in control matchups where you really lack things to turn into elementals) and a random legendary that, while being random, is usually still very powerful.
I wouldn't recommend you to build it elemental based, I tried with Blazecallers and servants and pyros and it was just superslow and well just bad.
The flex slots would be Sindragosa and Thalnos in my opinion, strong alternatives are 2nd Blizzard and volcanic potion.

Other than that I feel crafting a DK has more of a "future" than regular legendaries so Thrall would prolly be a good craft aswell especially since he is indeed crazy good in evolve shaman.

Based on pure power finja is definitely up there though.

Oh god I just been playing an elemental based Jaina DK deck for this day and I am basically hating it, it just falls apart if you don't draw Jaina and it just triggers me a bit. Also it is a bit clunky no matter how I try to build it. So I can totally relate on what you said there.

So about your deck, it has no elemental synergy, so I guess the idea is to use your damage spells to make minions into 1 hp ones so you get a water elemental with hero power? And that is not your win condition, your win condition is the burn.

I don't have Sindragosa so I will try Medivh in it's place I think. Gives a kidda boost to the late game against Control.

Jaina is a fine wincondition by itself, it's just she can't do all the work by herself. If you draw her on 9 she will win you plenty of games, the burn plan is just something you can switch too depending on the match up or if Jaina is in the bottom 10 cards.

For example against Jade druide you don't have the time to set up the burn plan because their armor gain is nothing you can realistically handle and you will never have the time to set it all up.
The set up is having Tony, cycling your runes into cheap spells before the tony-turn (0 or 1 mana, doesn'T matter what they do you just want them to be cheap so you get a free fireball) and being able to hold them in hand till your tony turn, get a million fireballs, alexstraza and then burn them out over 2-3 turns. That is a looooong amount of time only few decks give you (like Control Warlock and Raza Priest for example)

The "normal" gameplan is to run people out of ressources and then just have inevitability with Jaina and her elementals. You don't need to run a elemental tribal deck, cause that's just overkill. The elemental tribe doesn't really facilitate you going into a long game atleast not with all these decks that fight for the board suuuuper aggresively, so why gimp yourself just so some already mediocre cards you play can become a little better by having lifesteal after needing to have drawn and played Jaina?

But obviously your gameplan should be fluid and change depending on match up and gamestate.

Medievh would fullfill a similar role as Sindragosa as in that he does indeed give you a lot of value in Control matches, the only downside I see to him that pirate warrior isn't officially dead enough for people to rotate out their weapon hate.

Thanks, that's a lot of good feedback. I think that when I reach the dust treshold I will pick between Mage and Shaman DK's. I think that Shaman DK still gives more versatility cause Shaman is a class that can spam quite a lot of minions, even outside of an Evolve deck. You don't even need to run Evolves to get effects. The card is tricky, but can easily turn the tide of battle. Even if the transformed minions aren't that great, you still get a semi-heal.

Yeah it's quite obvious Elementals are slow nowadays (maybe because Blizzard didn't give them enough support in this expansion? Aside from Mage DK of course), but making a hybrid deck might actually do it.

Nevertheless this will be a hard choice, unless maybe with some luck I'll get one of them in a pack...

UPDATE:

What am I a friggin' FARSEER or something???

PS: Best thing is, if I don't like Shaman DK I can turn him into a different Legendary...

PS 2: Does someone play 2x Obsidian Statue?

Yeah I'd play 2 of them in a deck that also has 2x Shadow Essence and Barnes. Which basically means Big Priest or some Resurrect Priest in the Wild.

But that means you would need to craft Y'Shaarj... Oh and congrats on the pack dude!

I'll keep the Statue for now. Although I think one is enough in a deck maybe I will play a stricly Resurrect type of deck (I played one once and it was fun). Plus there's a slight chance it will be nerfed if Priest goes out of control...

Shaman DK seems solid so far. That 5 mana cost is really doing him a favor. The RNG nature of his ability does not mean you will always get an outstanding result, but it's worth giving a shot. One downside is that there's a lot of understated minions out there (because those have strong Battlecries etc).

EDIT: Theoritically speaking, which is more useful in your opinion Guys: Mage DK or Warlock DK? I thought I settled on Jaina, but maybe Gul'dan wouldn't be that bad for a craft... the Demon deck popularity fell quite a bit but it's actually still strong. While I think Jaina can be used in more decks, actually even if you don't run that many Demons Warlock DK is still a great tempo swing/finisher if you at least run those Doomguards and Abyssal Enforcers.

What do you Guys think? I don't know why I didn't actually consider this card... I'm sitting on 1600 dust and I might change my mind about the next craft

Warlock DK is still better hands down. You seriously are in a winning position after you play Gul'dan, and the same simply cannot be said about Jaina. Gul'dan gives you a N'Zoth effect (yes the strongest Old God effect) that can win you the game. But even if no demons have died you will play him anyways if allowed because the Hero Power alone is a win condition. So you basically have 2 win conditions in one card Jaina is a bit trickier, she only gets one Water Elemental to start and to make more Elementals she needs to make opponent's minions into 1 HP ones. Running 2 Polymorphs help a lot but making more is not so easy because opponents don't give you easy targets usually.

Hunters and Rogues have taken the ladder now though lol so I'm not sure slow decks are the best choice at the moment. But theoretically speaking yes Gul'dan is stronger. But as always if you like Mage more then that supersedes the one that is stronger ^^

That's actually not an issue for me. I'm casual for life I only seek cards that give me enough material to have more fun then only a few occasional games. And I think Warlock DK does exactly that. I can try to make a Demon deck, I can dig out my Handlock which I didn't play for some time etc. Nowadays I find Ladder a chore so I don't play it that much. Because so many players have access to good decks (fully netdecked Jade Druids/Raza DK Priests on rank 19) it's a total grind for me, as I'm not that good of a competetive player to come out on top and probably never will be (coming to terms with this kinda contradicts with me spewing so much nonsense back in the day ). So Warlock DK it is

EDIT: I can say crafting Bloodreaver Gul'dan was the right choice. I remembered how fun it is to tweak a Control Warlock deck. There are so many possibilities! With an additional win condition I can switch in and out some other cards or add less popular Demons just for the gist of it. I can also try some cards I wanted for some time now: Lakkari Enchanter (yeah the dream happened to me already: double Emperor T and double Lich King effect) or Corpsetaker (it's quite easy to get three effects on her). I also found out that Imp Gangleader (normally a staple) does not work that well with Bloodreaver

I also always try to craft the cards that I know I will be using a lot and preferably in several different decks. If the Bloodreaver Gul'Dan was a physical card it would be pretty worn out now haha, I managed to make my Warlock hero portrait golden because I have just loved playing the DK-Handlock (yes more than Razakus Priest lol, it is too popular and strong so I eventually steered away from it)

And yes the possibilities to tweak are endless! In wild even my old favorite Renolock is possible

Speaking of new things, I'm currently trying the so-called Silence/Purify Priest. Wanted to do so since Un'Goro but first I lacked cards and later I forgot about it. And it actually works wonders in the meta. No one expects a non-Razakus Priest and they don't know how to react. The decks only real weakness is not drawing Inner Fire at the right time and single removal cards (you can still build another minion if they kill off your first one). And yeah, Purify is a decent card in the deck...

Boy, Brode must be laughing his ass off...

So I have actually stopped playing Hearthstone. Just not fun anymore. But I wanted to see how the meta is evovling after the new nerfs so I watched Kripp's commentary on the subject. I guess he is right. Nerfs need to come faster. Way faster.

I actually found a lot of fun with the newest two DK's I got (Shaman and Warlock), so those will keep me running for some time.

But yeah, the nerfs are laughable...

Another funny thing is that, although I don't play meta decks, it seems Prince Keleseth is the new talk of the town. It's very popular atm. Another case of me getting a Yogg-Sarron in a pack, if you know what I mean
