That is a sweet card. Imagine how flexible it is, usually as a buff but if you have no minions you can play it on its own.

I just realized that what we currently have has to be the best metagame I have probably ever seen in Hearthstone. All classes are viable with most coming with several decks! Which is annoying when mulliganing but lol that is a good reason to be annoyed about XD What I meet on ladder are:

Token Druid, Taunt Druid, Malygos Druid
Evenlock, Zoo, Cubelock
Deathrattle-Recruit Hunter, Spell Hunter
Even Shaman, Shudderwok Shaman
Odd Rogue, Miracle Rogue
Dude Paladin
Tempo Mage, Big Spell Mage
Quest Warrior
Control Priest

I am excited for the expansion but I am gonna try to enjoy this moment as long as it lasts

Yes, I had the exact same observation yesterday. I played a few games, and every deck I faced was something different.

So far from the look of things Mechs are on a good path to destroy the meta. I mean, Magnetic looks like a really snowballish effect. Everyone says that it will be countered with more Silence cards, but just think how many will be required (and we don't actually have that many to choose from) against aggro/zoo decks. Being on the defensive the whole game is not the best situation...

Blizzard also released a schedule for card reveals. There are some cool arts there, but those do not generate the same amount of interest as the previous expansion. We'll have to see what they have in store in us.

I really hope for Kael'thas. Someone had a good idea on forums: a 6/6 for 7 mana, Battlecry: add 3 Verdant Spheres to your hand (each sphere adds +1 spell dmg to a minion).

Yeah those pics are zoomed in so you can't get a good feel. I have faith that the art will be good though.

Mechs might be too snowbally, which will immediately knock lots of the slower decks out of the meta. It can't be as bad as Pirate Warrior right? It gave no room for anything remotely slow to breathe lol. Oh good times

Speaking of which, I find a lot of them nowadays in Wild. They must be filling some kind of "quick win" niche there. But most of the decks I play crush them, so it's nothing even remotely close to when they were true meta cancer and were all over the place, even to the point a conceded when I saw one.

The Fiery Win Axe nerf probably had the biggest effect on the deck. I still use one in my Odd-Taunt Warrior even though I know it is crap lol. I just need a weapon for "early" turns... Mana Wurm usually has killed me by turn 3 though lol.

Players criticize, but the nerfs actually do have a possitive effect. Sometimes the simple fact of the nerf makes a troublesome card disappear from the meta. My fav impact nowadays is that there aren't that many Mill decks around (only some Wild Kingsbane bs here and there).

EDIT: So, Mr. Creepy Whalen returns! Link

Warrior weapon seems meh, but who knows.

Whizbang is... I don't even...

But Floop. Damn, it's one of those cards with unlimited potential. Seems like a hyper evolution of Zola or Banker. Seems OP and probably is another must-craft.

Yeah what the hell, Druid is already the strongest class. What are they thinking.

I on the other hand love the Warrior weapon Dunno if it is good but seems something that people who don't play around gets punished

Whizbang is the Prince Malchezaar of the set. Probably for new players or players with such a small collection they can't make good decks. They might give it for free methinks...

If it will be given as a freebie to every player it kinda makes sense (for new players it even is a great idea), but otherwise I don't see a point for this card. People are playing their recepie decks, or at least build upon them, so I suppose it's not a way to flesh them either...

One aspect of the card is that an opponent isn't entirely sure what deck he can expect, so there is this surprise element to it. But recipe decks are subpar to meta decks.

EDIT: Oh, and three new Druid cards with Treant synergy. Do I smell nerfs? There was this one card back in the day which wasn't even noticed. It was cheaper the more minions died. Mulchmuncher is not even remotely as good as Corridor Creeper, but it has Rush. Not to mention it's a Mech. The potential is out there...

1. Whizbang - What a freaking blast. Such a fun, yet little dumb, card. I love it!
2. Supercollider - Could it work in control warrior? They get so much armor anyway.
3. Flobbidinous - Game changer imo. That card can really be fun to play.
4. Mulchmuncher - Treant synergy? Hmm... Cenarius coming back to Standard? I am not hyped about this archetype.
5. Landscaping - 3 mana for 4 stats in total. Average I guess...
6. Dendrologist.. Again Decent stats, interesting effect.

Treant druid - If they keep adding to this archetype for the next, then sure! I will find it great, but otherwise it is a little flawed atm.

After seen the new reveal video, I am starting to be hyped for this expansion. It has some.. of the flare Team 5 can have.
Not the witchwood boring stuff.. No this is fun and weird.

Oh it will be fun. Especially when an opponent plays a 4 mana Malygos on the next turn after playing the original one, having 6 mana left for spells. Fun and interactive.

I think the only way this card won't take over the meta is if there will be a lot of aggressive decks. Which won't be fun either :/

Exactly! I am at loss for words the more I think of this. You will use this in every Druid deck. 4 mana Malygod -> RIP opponent. One more Hadronox - because dealing with 3 wasn't hard enough. It even dies more easily because of 4 HP. Lol. I am laughing because I'm scared

Floops biggest advantage, the one that takes this card to a whole new level, is that it does not need the actual copied minion on board. Everyone says Malygos, but he works for each an every minion with strong effect: Aviana, Kun, Ysera, Lich King, even some Wild less popular cards like Rafaam. Not to mention cards like N'Zoth, C'Thun etc. With a cost of 4 Mana it doesn't matter if the copy itself even survives next turn, it's what comes after playing it.

At this point the only question is if the meta will be fast enough to actually finish a combo/control deck before it plays the minion, granted it will have Floop on hand (but there are ways to draw him out). But take Taunt Druid for instance. A perfect deck for stalling and anti-aggro in essence. The decks only weak points are unfavorable draw and cards like Polymorph. Now you have an easy way to copy Hadronox, and bypass the "more Beasts" counter.

On the bright side, the card is a good investment. For the next 2 months it will be played in every Druid deck, after which your 1600 dust will come back to you

EDIT: Nice comic https://bnetcmsus-a.akamaihd.net/cms/gallery/MKPAZT6TYCGZ1532128382845.pdf, I really like the graphic style.

And they pretty much teased 3 more class Legendaries: for Hunter, Rouge and Priest (fourth is the Paladin one which was mentioned in a blog). Maybe Dr. Boom hero is counted as a class Legendary for Warrior?

PS: His robot assistant might also make an appearance...

It was enjoyable, witty dialogue actually. And art was neat I really liked it. Maybe one too many slap stick humour bits with Boom, it stops being funny at some point.

The teasers themselves might be giving away a bit about the class Legendaries abilities:

- Hunters one will do something with bombs. So either sets a trap, or spams tokens with bombs (maybe to hand?). Or it very well might be a simple boardclear ability, which Hunter actually needs.
- Rouge one will do something with poisons. If it would simply gave "Poisonous" to a minion that would actually be good. But it would need good stats to back it up. For instance Plague Scientist wasn't played because the Battlecry was a Combo and it was always under the curve with such grisly stats. We already have Xaril who gives potions, so I don't think it will be RNG-based.
- Priest is pushed with the copy mechanics so it probably is a no-brainier. Maybe it will be Faceless Manipulator 2.0? Play it and additionally summon an exact copy of another minion on board?

Whatever the case, today is the reveal stream, so we'll get at least 10 cards I presume...

I really love the comic, videos and all the stuff they make for this expansion. They give a lot of clues without revealing anything.
They make a lot of these original characters come alive and you want to know who they are and how they interact in game.

It is pretty brilliant.

So Guys, what are your impressions after the mini-reveal. Not counting the fact that the stream was pretty amateurish in terms of technical stability - or was it intentional?

It seems they at least learned from their past mistakes and are not revealing underwhelming cards to start things off (Ticking Abomination anyone?).

Most of the revealed cards seem playable, eitehr boosting existing decks or creating something on their own. The mvp seems to be Demonic Project which was proclaimed the Meta/Floop/Malygos/XXX killer (at least the card seems to generate the most attention).

And then we have Dr. Boom, Mad Genius who seems decent. He appears to be an an utility card: maybe not good on it's own, but in any deck with at least a few mechs he will be playable, not to mention the interesting Hero Power. While it might seems too RNG each effect is strong on it's own. I think the card perfectly captures the soul of the expansion, and the Mad Scientist himself. Maybe he'll revieve the Mech Warrior archetype?

I'm also a bit scared of Kangor's Endless Army: I know the effect might be hard to utilize (you need at least two "magntized" mechs for it to make sense), but at the same time it comes dangerously close to Call to Arms or Anyfin Can Happen...

If we ignore that I was hoping for more cards to be revealed, it had some nice cards in it. Mechs are gonna be real, you can even add Pinatas for value so it might not be all Rush Rush. Especially in Paladin where there is also huge value in the Legendary Spell...

Priest is getting solid additions to Deathrattle theme. They seem playable overall... Reckless Experimenter with cards like Cube could be weird fun hehe. No time for Silence.

Unexpected Results is great because it utilizes Spell Damage in interesting ways. I kinda like it because you never use spell damage minions in any deck. Now they could be used. Sadly it is not an Odd Card because I like Black Cat as a 3 mana 3/3 with spell damage a lot.

Finally the only attempt at a counter we have for Shudderwock in Demonic Project. Sadly it is a Warlock only card. But seeing sometimes I get really frustrated against this "fun and interactive" deck I might throw a deck with 2 Gnomeferatus and 2 Demonic Projects to try and beat it.

I liked the reveal. Or well I liked a lot of the revealed cards.

In general the cards revealed so far have been quite good or interesting.

As a paladin fan I am psyched for the upcoming mech-paladins; Think about them in wild with Shieldbot
The spell is potentially insane! Man I love it!

More deathrattle priest though? Are they pulling the brakes on Priest?

More great warlock spells. Insane class at the moment. It has all the crazy utility spells!

Dr. Boom returning as a hero card - I do not like how they did his character - too cartoonish at least how I saw him from GvG days. Oh well. The card though. Cool. Really cool. They are getting better at making hero cards.

Astromancer - Clearly reminds one of Spitefull Summoner. However this is way less oppressive because you need to hoard cards which means you won't be playing curvestone as much. I have already seen Mountain Giants in Mage....
Celestial Emissary - Like it, comboes with new cards.
Cloning Device is like Dragonic Operatives Battlecry in a spell. If this alone costs 2 mana then that means that Dragonic Operative was a 3 mana 5/6... Oh well we knew that card was as broken as it gets
Giggling Inventor. I'm not sure what kind of deck would play this, maybe zoo. Mech zoo! Omg.
Zerek's Cloning Gallery - Deathrattle Priest confirmed lol. They are not loving Priest this time around. Yeah I can't see anyone playing a 9 mana card that gives you 1/1's... You are always gonna be dead next the turn. Not to mention what a dead draw in the end of your deck. Also just too expensive. Only value would be with maybe 2 Obsidian Statues...which by luck you hadn't drawn somehow... sigh.
Brightnozzle Crawler - Hmm, as a deathrattle this is not so good.
Star Aligner - Can you spell Win More? A silly card. Sounds fun but never will work.
Cybertech Chip - Reminds me of that Shaman spell. Could work.

Well TBP is the "goofy" type of expansion, so we are getting a goofy iteration of Dr. Boom (if he ever was a serious character to begin with ).

The cards initial ability, give Rush to all Mechs, goes so well with the flavor it's incredible (crazed charging robots), but I wonder if it will work out, because at the same time it kinda limits the deck building space. I wonder if adding just a few mechs like the Weaponized Pinata will be enough for this hero card to see play...

My general impression of the expansion is that they've really let loose. This expansion will see a lot of nerfing in the coming months.

EDIT: About some of the recently revealed cards:
- Pogo-Hopper -> I got a feeling this might lead to some cancer Rouge decks
- Omega Assembly -> well this card will definitely add up to Mech Warrior. I don't need to mention how good Discover is, and the potential to "draw" three Mechs for 1 mana late game is incredible. Dr. Boom hero card just got a powerful tool.
- Boommaster Flark -> this might be an underestimated card. Face dmg might not be relevant, but with aggressive decks it should put pressure on opponents. But I think the main strength of this card is it's board presence: we know that Mechs are getting a lot of new tools (especially Magnetic), and there is a high chance that some of the g-bombs will survive. If we will get sth in the likes of Enchance-o-Mechano, then the snowball is real. (EDIT: Hello Fireworks Tech)
- Mechanical Whelp -> very cool art, token also. Card itself is simply something similar to Big-Time Racketeer, but with Deathrattle. Which makes sense as Mechs are a synergistic tribe and you still can find use for the whelp itself (+Dr. Boom synergy ).

EDIT 2: Holy moly, The Boomship Legendary spell for Warrior seems good. People are snowin' that it does not work with Dr. Boom hero card but it's not the point here. Other decks should also get some love and this is perfect for greedy Warrior decks. With Rush you can instantly change the odds on the board plus it works great with Omega Assembly.
