Still, that doesn't mean there's no interdependence of elements. You assume the project can easily be cut up in different chunks that have no influence whatsoever on one another. Since it's a bunch of people doing this in their spare time, it might very well be that even if it can be compartimentalized, each compartment might still be only 95% done.

Yeah it might or it might not, who knows...
They showed some of the features a long time ago though, so it's not unreasonable to assume they are done with some of them.

HotA Crew I know you wan't to deliver a complete package, but how about giving us what you got now and then giving us a new update again later?
If not could you at least share some information, screenshots or give us an approximate release date? Thanks.

"Ok, Ferrari, I know the car isn't done yet, but can you deliver us what you already have now? Even if it's just 2 wheels ... on the same side ... and half an engine ... on second thought ..."

Some need only few Ferrari details to add to their Monster Truck. Like only DEFS added since previous Version.

Dudes seriously, is it Hota's habit to deliver fragments of DEFs?
Just be patient.

I think it is better to wait till Hota crew decide 1.5 is ready to release. One of the best characteristics of Hota is the quality that provides a very good play experience, losing that would be a mistake.

Anyway, I would like to read any new about the development. New characteristics, screenshots, estimated delivery date...

Hey everyone! No news about 1.5.0 yet — we are working on it, but there is still content that needs to be finished, and many team members have been too busy with stuff unrelated to HotA development (work, studying etc.). I'd like to point out, though, that there are other directions in which HotA is expanding, such as HD-mod. Some of you might have already seen the latest video posted by Baratorch (HD-mod developer and HotA Crew member): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u70wC0DJ7I8
The video is in Russian, so I'll recap it for you: Baratorch is currently working on HotA online lobby, which will be a part of HD-mod and would also allow playing online without using LAN emulators (such as Hamachi) and add other features such as player's multiplayer rating. So, here is something for you to discuss while waiting for future updates on HotA 1.5.0

That is great news. Some weeks ago, I though Hota crew may be working in something like that. It would be great if it implement some kind of chat rooms or other system where players can look for other connected players of the same level to set up a game. I think it would make players life easier and also it would increase players community by making possible to people that cant easily find other players to find them.

Thank you Dr. Slash. That is why we are always looking for Hota news, because they are always good news

@DrSlash
Thanks for sharing this information with us, it's always good to hear some news about the patches state.

No worries man, we can surely wait. You've done such an excellent job so far,  this mod probably has more content already than the last SOD expansion itself.

This mod is a masterpiece, keep up the good work!

Exiting news about the prospect of restoring the online functionality of HoMM3 while also enhancing it. Just an observation for discussion, if I were a SoD player exclusively, I might feel differently about it, though, since it sounds like it will be another exclusive feature for HotA, correct?

If so, some people might feel that HotA is getting all the 'premium features' while SoD is left a bit out in the cold in some aspects. I figure that this will create some dislike towards HotA itself from a certain group of players, at least. But the other side of the argument is that these premium features, such as simultaneous turns, might not even have got to exist without collaboration and help from the crew (of course Baratorch himself is a member and has been for some time now). And of course it simply gives players more reasons to play HotA over SoD.

Anyhow, this integrated lobby will help break the barrier down between players from heroesworld.ru and 'all the other places', such as Gameranger. It could well evolve quickly to become the best place to find matches with strong features such as chat and ranking. So that's very cool.

Everyone should just play HotA with HD mod.
Forget about SoD, WoG, VCMI etc.
HotA is the new standard.

This feature alone would get me back into regular playing once again. This is better than any new creature, town or balance change.

Awesome! Will it be server or p2p based? Could it be "offline" or discontinued?
