Question for HotA Crew:
Can we expect any new heroes in a future update? I am especially thinking of new Conflux heroes or heroes to replace Diplomacy heroes or heroes which specialise in Logistics/Offense/Armorer. They don't have to replace them in all maps, but they could be selected in the Map Editor.
Also how come Cove does'nt have an Eagle Eye hero, when every other town (except Conflux for obvious reasons) has one?

I just finished the first HOTA campaign. Went to the ranking board and it gave me a score of 440. Understandable as I set it to the lowest difficulty.

However, it ended up REPLACING the bottom rank, which definitely had a higher score which was around 800.

Is it possible to fix this? Though this is nothing too major compared to more serious bugs so no hurry.

Good evening

Hello, I just started playing Hota scenario after long time. I noticed that after each day it automatically created a new save for some reason... any ideas how to fix this? They are just unnecessary and waste space, I would rather do manual saving and relying on the traditional autosave...

in you hd launcher you have the option "save after each day (for tournaments)". this will create the saves if you turn the option "tournament rules" on when starting the game.

Thanks, I had not installed HD mod at all but HOTA included somekind of build for it. Did not get the initiation screen so I downloaded HD mod fully, now it works. I have to say I really like this HD mod, saves a lot of clicking. I'm glad that HOTA had it somehow included so it is kinda nice introduction for it.

Btw is there any kind of complete changelog about SOD --> current HOTA version? I'm especially interested in reading about the most impactful changes such as secondary skill nerfs/buffs.

No comments about this? Does everyone agree that a dead troop could block the castle gate and the army under siege had to be caged without any opportunity to get out of its walls?

yes, this is happening and i've seen people make use of this when attacking a town with no shooting units. i agree it should be fixed.

Disabled spells

Hi, really sorry if this has been answered before but can't find it; has something been changed with the way spells are disabled in the HotA map editor?

I've made a HoMM3 map which has town portal/fly/DD disabled, but these spells would work if you equipped tome of earth/air.

I've opened this map in the HotA editor and converted it, but when testing it found that even with tomes equipped these spells still are not available?

We don't consider it as a bug that strongly need to be fixed. Most probably it won't be changed.

You should write directly to baratorch. He is the only one who can help in such situation.

From what I played so far, I really like all the bug fixes, visual improvements and general tweaks of Horn of the Abyss. My question is if there's a way to play through the H3 campaigns with these improvements, but without the new content from Horn of the Abyss, like the new creatures (and their dwellings) and the new artifacts appearing in the maps?

I imagine this could be achieved by deleting some of the files in the H3 game folder that are added by the HotA installation, but I don't know which ones.

Old H3 campaigns were made with knowledge of H3 bugs, so it is safest to play them under SoD+HD mod. HotA made bugfixes mostly for random maps, so playing SoD campaings under HotA enviroment without HotA features is equal to playing old campaings under SoD/Complete enviroment. So I advise you to play these campaigns with SoD and HD mod and (optional) with SoD_SP Plugin.
