I just tasted the new object for highlands, the one with the lich. I feel like HotA is creating too many banks of undead creatures (the ones that can't have moral). It is possibly good if one can trust battle will always run the same way but on the other hand it looks awful half of all money banks being of undead, specially cause that wasn't true before.

^^ It gives you a reason to cast Destroy Undead.
No I also find it pretty strange with all these undead, it's the Highlands so it could have been elementals instead.
Take the "Spit" for example, you fight Basilisks in Swamp Terrain, it makes sense.

It is simply a replacement for Crypt on that terrain. The number of actual Undead banks on any given map didn't change. And most probably won't.

Oh! I didn't noticed there were no more crypts, in that case I'm perfectly ok, it even requires a slightly different approach.

Are you sure Spits can appear on random maps? Cause I haven't seen them for quite a while.
I'm guessing is another bank like the Ivory Tower, that will never appear unless you place it there.

No I don't think Spit can appear on random maps. I never play random maps so don't know/care.

I'm guessing is another bank like the Ivory Tower, that will never appear unless you place it there.

In random maps, both Spit and Ivory Tower are disabled by default.

Trying to créate a template I enable rock block radius because I want a mirror map smaller than a M but bigger than a S. I have a problema because sometimes the map has rocks in the corners but sometimes it havent. How can I ensure the rocks are always there? Thanks in advance

@nik312 Is it on purpose that all these creature banks seam to put the emphasis of the exploration on taking army more then taking money from the map? I would say priorities are different in HotA and SoD but maybe is just my Bias.

Of course priorities are diffirent. SoD expanded single player style of the game. HotA expands multi style of the game.

That doesn't, just by itself, explain a greater focus on creatures over money. As I said I'm not even sure if it's not just my bias, that's why I asked if it was conscious planning.

I have had a bug in HotA. I was playing with Inferno and my hero's cannon didn't participate the battle during siege defense.

Is the "junkman" working on random map scripts (rmg editor) ?
I enabled it for highland terrain and set frequency very very high and max amount to 1 (for every other object that worked perfectly well to have exactly one of it), but in none of my 4 highland terrains a junkman spawned.

ok, I found out:
If the value is the default (200) the junkman does not spawn. But if I set it to 2000, it will. Why??

And with very high frequency and max amount 1, I also added a dwelling of every level to the starting area. But for some reasons, if the town is rampart, it always has 2 times unicorns! No other town has 2 times the same dwelling with the same settings.
So has rampart the special ability to always get +1 unicorn dwelling near the starting town?

There is no way to ensure. But you can try to adjust zone sizes and other options, maybe you'll be able to get better (and more stable) result. All information about options is here: http://h3hota.com/en/template-format

In case of RMG in HotA there were added 3 creature banks with creatures (one of them, Red Tower, appears seldom) and 4 creature banks with money (one of them is Ruins, only for highlands, 3 other appear often).
Overall, there were added 5 creature banks with creatures and 7 creature banks with money.

From the other side, in the online gameplay on the random maps banks with creatures are super-important objects, while banks with money (except Dragon Utopia) are just general objects (this is true both for SoD and HotA). So, adding even 1 bank with creatures changes the gameplay much more than adding several banks with money. In SoD there are only two banks with creatures, and player's armies are often similar (many angels + many wyverns). In HotA there is more diversity, but banks with creatures are still as much important as in SoD. So, the role of the banks with creatures haven't been changed, but the possible armies have been changed strongly.

It is not a bug. The siege works this way.

Probably you've setup you zone treasure such way that objects of value 200 cannot appear. Try reading this: http://h3hota.com/en/template-format, especially the last sections, everything is described there.

When was the last time you had Balista or Cannon during the siege as a defender?

No matter it is clearly a bug, there is nothing wrong with ballista/cannon joining the war in the side of siege defender.

That has nothing to do with HotA, it has always been like this. (since 1999!)
I don't see why HotA should change it either, as a defender you got the arrow towers and a moat, artillery skill already affects towers, no need for it to affect ballista/cannon too.

It is still not logical preventing ballista/cannon to participate the battles in side of siege defender since other war machines can already participate.
