Thanks for the update, @Tevye!

The upgraded Sandworm sounds pretty OP (devouring corpses), but we will have to see with our own eyes, because so far HotA never disappointed us when adding features.

Don't worry about timing. This is a difficult period, also in a very bad year overall. Nobody can complain if HotA 1.7 is not coming out with the New Year. I still have my hopes up though!

Not trying to let you down or smt, but this info was available a long while ago (except for the more in-depth parts and the rip-able gifs; I won't do it, but I know of one such incident with the tier 7). Although it wasn't all compressed into one single post, and not everyone searches all sources of info.

I think they released this information for 2 main reason. The first is that we had no official information about the sandworm here on this thread. The second is that they probably wanted to give us some news, basically once again reassure us that Factory is still on its way.

True enough. There was a lot of sandworm info here though, but scattered, etc.

And yes, that's also the right thing to do, wo show that development still continues. I just said that for anyone curious, but it might have been for the worse, to a certain extent.

Cool.

Their ability to eat corpses looks pretty sophisticated, so you've probably put a lot of work to make it work.

Btw I would bet my money that you also were inspired by the classical fantasy D&D trope - the Purple Worm.

Thanks for the update team.

I have a question about the sandworms: to me they appear to be like trogs in that they lack eyes. Would they be immune to blind for the same reason?

It might be too strong, but thought it would be an interesting question regardless

When it comes to naming the upgraded version Olgoi-Khorkhoi, hmmm it still boggles me.

I mean Tevye did explain their logic behind its naming and it is reasonable, but I still think such a region-specific and tongue-twisty name is a bit too much. Even "Couatls" were modified from "Quetzalcouatls"...

How about Sandworm -> Dread Worm?

Personally, I like that the name is somewhat special, and belongs to an actual mythologial creature. And regional "exclusive" creatures are already in the game, I personally have not heard about Nixes before, as they apparently only apper in Germanic mythology.

I belive this is something the community will get used to, and even like at the end of the day.

I like the name, Ayssid and Fangarm is not something you hear everyday either. Besides we already have Dread Knights, no need for Dread Worms.

Btw I would bet my money not many on this here boards would be able to correctly pronaunce the original polish name counterpart of Serpent Fly: Oslizg. At least later they changed it to a more accurate translation I think

Hello!

I've found a bug in RMG Template Editor (or maybe I am lame and can't work with it properly).
The thing is, you can not play as anyone else (positionally) than a red player (red zone position).
For instance, on map template (in RMG) with red and blue zones, red has a gold mine, while blue hasn't: I want to start the game against AI, so i am on the blue zone position, but only thing I got is that blue color -> I still have that gold mine (from red zone).
I have read this awesome article https://h3hota.com/en/templates, which says "zone colors don’t correspond to players’ colors", so probably I am lame

I have made many unbalanced templates recently, so I am very very sad I can't play them starting on other positions than red's. Do you know some way to make it happen? Or is this a new feature request?

You read right, zone colors don't correspond to players unless all human players are the first players. First human player always starts from the red zone, even if his flag color of choice is not red. Second human player starts from blue, etc.

You must swap the zone colors in the template editor.
