I think eating undead bones or rotten flesh should definitely feed the Olgoi Khorkhoi. Not sure about eating stone and metal The ability doesn't really matter for mechanicals and elementals, because they can't be resurrected anyway.

Oh wow, Greg Fulton himself had a word for Docent in the latest Fanstratics newsletter.

What about Ring of Oblivion? Will it cancel that ability? And how will it work? 1st attack, counter, 2nd attack, 3rd attack, 4th attack and so on... ?

Here's my guess:
Ring of Oblivion makes corpses disappear, so the ability won't work.
The additional attack will work the same as with Ayssids (after retaliation).

This ability really sounds OP, though. Imagine finishing all the enemy troops except for the big tank. Just cast Blind, collect all the dead corpses (maybe even your own if you are not going to Resurrect them) and decimate the enemy with 6-7 attacks in a row. If it's Expert Blind, the enemy won't even retaliate.

This technique would be particularly useful in battles against the AI (like creature banks), where you get all your 1-stacks killed. The fact that eating 1 peasant is the same as eating 20 archangels is pretty insane.

I'm pretty sure the ability will work just like you said.

I think this ability will be kinda unsuitable for creature banks, thou. They always come up with multiple stacks, and most of them have fast units inside, basically giving you no time for collecting the dead bodies without being bombarded with enemy attacks. However, there might indeed be some cheese potential; I expect you can do something with bunch of Olghoi-khorkois and 6 one-stacks of Halflings. One place where you could possibly use such strategy is the Dreadnought dwelling - a slow, tanky creature, with no chances of having a morale, and the dreadnoughts will always be in one stack.

I haven't commented here in quite a long time. At the begining I'd like to thank Docent the last time for his great commitment towards Heroes 3. Hota is amazing add-on. Good that there are still many great individuals in Hota who will develop it more.

About last post. I really like new unit. Concept looks interesting. I don't like the name of updated version though. I get that its based on Mongolian creature, but such name sounds weird and doesn't fit game well in my opinion. I'd much prefer something like Death Worm.
Eating corps sounds cool, another strikes might me OP so you should be careful about balance.

Looking forward for more information about next update. Can you give us estimated date of Factory premiere? Also Will 1.7 deliver something new beside Factory and new Campaign?

Are there any plans to rework some of the Cove heroes?
I still think Leena and Elmore are a bit too much.

I would also really like Towers old build order back, but then lower the special resource cost of Mage Tower from 5 to 2 and move the rest to upgraded Mage Tower instead.

I agree,

Leena is way too much, i believe she is the hero that starts with the highest money generation, plus if you hit an XP stone she can get advanced estates lvl 2 which makes her even more of a gold mine.

usually heroes with the +350Gold specialty pay for themselves in 8 days. Leena pays for herself in 4, 3 if she reaches an XP stone in her first day and gets advanced estate. There is also a possibility afterwards she reaches the tree that upgrades a secondary skill in her first turn as well, making her pay herself back in 2 turns only.

Elmore also starting with advanced navigation, with the cove that can build ships, can severely outmatch all other factions in water heavy maps.

Hello, is anyway there in RMG template editor disable Grail spawning in player zone? Very annoying when AI they find Grail in 1 week.

Try disable obellisk objects. Without them, you wont encounter grail.

Hello, yes but i want Grail in game. I want it spawn only neutral zone.

I am pretty sure that is not possible to do, because the contents of the zone would affect zone placement (since the Grail can't be on the edge of the map), and I don't think that's implemented. I might be totally wrong, though.

Hi I just installed Hota and I get the game in a small screen in the middle surrounded by a grey border or something like that. How do I fill the entire screen with the game? I'm a noob at this but none of the settings in the launcher seems to change much xD

Use lower resolution settings in HD Launcher when launching the game.

Hi guys,

Not sure if I'm missing something, but I'm not able to see the last log anymore.



I know that I can click and see the full log, but sometimes I'm just interested only in what was the damage from the previous action.

Is there anything that I can do to fix this or is it just the way it is now?

I think the log of the last action is supposed to be visible only if you hover over the bar when the Battle Queue is turned on.

Is there a way to contribute with a map, a scenario map?

I personally loved big and challenging maps like Barren lands or Devil is in the detail. I've been working on a somewhat similar map for quite some time.
