What kinda of program are you guys using for creating the models for HotA ?
Is it Blender or 3DMax ?
Are you using any other programs for some after effects ?

What a waste of time, energy and space it is when players ask for tons of balance, improvements and bug fixes knowing that they won't read any requests.

Of course not. It is just frozen since two years. Wait patiently another two and then we will see some visible progress - maybe (or maybe not) 
About Picolan's memory. DP paid special attention on communication/transparency issues. Since his tragic loss, current Hota crew almost completely isolate themselves from the players community. So they are "spitting" Docent's legacy for a long time. Sad but true and i don't expect that anything will change in this aspect.

They are not a company. They are a number of fans who work sporadically and every now and then make small commits to the project.
If you are going to treat them as a company, you might as well seek refunds for a F2P mod and seeking legal action why it's not progressing as fast as your expectations.

It's going to be hilarious if Day of Reckoning is released before Factory, since DoR development started way after Factory.

First: The latest update for HD-Mod says something about compatibility with future versions of HotA. And because one of the devolopers from HD-Mod is also one of the HotA team, I think it is quite sure HotA developement still goes on.
Second: Yes, it is an own project. It's still not sure right now if HotA and DOR will be compatible. The DOR team thinks it can be possible to connect both mods in some way. But actually I think nobody really knows what this means. (Please correct me, if I am wrong.)

If i remember corrently, DoR team said that they are fully open for co-op with HotA team and HotA team said that... Factory and new caimpaing will be something great
