I'm curious in what the crew's current thoughts are on ERM and it's value (if any) to the future of the HotA project. I realize that it might not be something that's planned to discuss at this time, though.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-
New topic:
Discussion about the underground.
I really hate how the underground in random generation tend to feel like one enormous zone. I do really enjoy the underground when it's smaller and more balanced in its overall size. This is mostly only possible to achieve with island maps, and it still tend to be a 50/50 distribution of the zones between top/under. The world above can support a large map because of variation, but the underground shouldn't be nearly as big in comparison, I feel.
I do not know if this is possible, but being able to limit the size/zones of the zones placed in the underground would be a huge improvement in the gameplay when the underground is enabled on large maps (XL and above).

---BUG? On Jubus Template I started to notice areas completely out of proportions with HotA (Maybe this was present in the original rmg but I have never noticed it, and in the last 4 maps I had 2 with this issue)
Minimap
Also the new wagon on rough... is hard to distinguish from some rocks or a bush.

So now that the mod's out and all's fine and dandy, can we know what's next in store for HotA? (Besides polish and bug fixing of course )
What's in store for 2.0?

Just saying. Peace.

I just asked for what's next in plan, IF there are plans at all. And even if they say those plans, there is a high chance for them to be changed during development OR might not make it at all.
I didn't say that they should start working immediately after releasing the patch. Of course they deserve a rest.
No offense from my side as well but please proofread posts before you quote them. Peace.

Hey, HotA team, check this thread.
It's a great Idea to have M&M Spell Schools. This makes even more difference between Hero Classes because, classes that can't have certain skills(eg. Dark Magic), can't learn more than level 2 spells in Dark Magic. It would be good to limit some skills for some classes(for variety's sake). Except from Wizard Class, which on my opinion, should be capable of all Air/Earth/Fire/Water/Body/Mind/Soul/Light/Dark Skills.

I don't see them doing this, fortunately. This would deviate to much from classic H3 gameplay and require a groundbreaking redesign of secondary skills/ Mage Guilds etc. While there might be good ideas it adds and cuts a good deal of things for the sake of ...??? I like the compactness of the current system.
Btw there are already skills inaccessible to certain classes.

Ideas like that are just childish and I'm sure the HotA team won't even take them into consideration.
HotA is a serious MOD, expansion quality-wise, not a "bring your first ideas that cross your mind" macron-frankenstein stuff ZZZzz

Oh, my bad then. thought you mean what they already started to do for next version.
Ye, It would be interesting to know what do they plan for future, but I don't think they already discussed that imho. Probably stuff that didn't make it to this version. Peace. <3
Sorry to bother you.

Yeah, people have dozens of ideas every day, but it doesn't mean these ideas are any good.
You also have to consider that people also change their mind on things; their own ideas/impressions included. Often, it can be a wise decision to wait and let the idea/impression mature before posting it, no doubt. I've made that mistake myself quite a few times, but it's only natural and not a sin. I suspect quite a few new people will be coming into the scene with the English release, and a little chaos is to be expected. I think that the HotA crew is mature enough not to drown in all the feedback. There might be a million visions of what HotA should/could be, but ultimately it's the HotA crew's project.

lol, man, why not give them five minutes to catch a breath out of tact before immediately asking into the next update, huh?
If I finished a year-long report for my boss and like almost the first thing he said was "thanks but tell me all about the next one", I think I'd either resign then and there or keel over and die, lol

Could someone explain really really carefully how can I play with HOTA-mod ? What to download, where do I move the files, what else do I need to dload, etc... And what if I have WOG? Do I need to uninstall it? And is there an option to choose to 'turn off' the HOTA-mod when I would love to play only with H3:Complete options ?

You should be able to run normal H3:Complete by using the Heroes3.exe (instead of h3hota.exe).
As mentioned above, the installation on a clean Heroes 3 Complete folder. No WoG nor any other mod besides the optional H3 HD mod.

It would be really cool to add:
Sword of Frost(All allied creature immune to cold spells + 25% to cast blizzard per turn!(Blizzard new spell that must be implemented) and the Horn of the Abyss Artifact(All sea creatures receive 5Attack/5Defence+Chance of 10% per turn to summon a Stack of 10 random Sea Creatures(only occurs once per combat)
