Is it possible to run the original campaigns (RoE, AB, SoD) from the HotA version of Heroes III?

I like being able to skip combat intro music and the other HotA fixes, but when I start HotA and go into campaign, only the HotA campaign is available.

No, not possible yet. But probably will be possible in some future. Even though its quite-quite problematic.

I have registered just to say few words.
First I want to thank the creators of this unofficial expansion for their hard and quality work that gave us something which is missing for about 10 years - a expansion or new Heroes game (WOG is a mod which changes Heroes 3 too much and Heroes 5 is a good game but I cannot call it a Heroes game for number of reasons).
Second I am mainly a single player and I love to play the campaigns and HotA gives me a lot in this direction but in my opinion some of the multi-player balancing is against the logic in HMM games. I think that crystals have to be needed for building a Cyclops Cave (20 are too much but 5 to 10 I think is okay), also I think that the upg. Wolf Pen have to require upg. Goblin Barracks because the Wolf Raiders are Hobgoblins not Goblins and finally I think that the upg. Hell Hole should require a Mage Guild Level 2 because the special ability of the Pit Lords summons Demons which not only last for a single battle. This is only my personal view and please correct me if this changes are not made in HotA. Firstly I was a bit sceptical about the new Cove town but lately I was pleasantly surprised by the result because the town is well created and fits the MM Universe Lore and HMM3 world. In light of the above words personally I find the idea for Kronwerk and Cathedral towns quite HMM5-ish and not in place in continent of Antagarish unlike the ideas for Cove and Forge towns. So I'll try to give some ideas for towns which in my opinion fits MM Universe and HMM3 world. All races(fractions) and creatures (except Vori Archer, Vori Mage and some upgraded units) are from MM Universe.

Third - Idea for new towns and creatures:

Bulwark (Inspired by Vori elves which are only mentioned in MM7 and HMM3 and have some role in Heroes Chronicles)
Alignment: Good
Might Hero: Guardian
Magic Hero: Sorcerer
Creatures:
1st – Halfling and Giant Slayer as upgrade (same for all other creatures - the second is the upgraded unit)

2nd – Hippogriff and Majestic Hippogrif
 
3rd – Snow Beast and Mystical Beast (The Snow Beast is four legs creature from world of Terra or world of XEEN. My vision is for big snow cat and that the Mystical Beast have special ability to become invisible.)
 
4th – Vori Archer and Sharpshooter

5th – Yeti and Frost Giant

6th – Vori Mage and Enchanter

7th – Gargantuan and Primordial Gargantuan

Keep (In MM7 the wizards live in Bracada Desert which defer from their native snow terrain in HMM3. For that reason I take the Tomb of VARN from MM6 for making a desert sand fraction.)
Alignment: Neutral
Might Hero: Bedouin
Magic Hero: Anchoret
Creatures:
1st – Beetle and Rhino Beetle

2nd – Rogue and Assassin

3rd – Nomad and Dune Rider

4th – Wyrm and Great Wyrm



5th – Troll and War Troll

6th – Varn Defender and Varn Sentinel
 
7th – Sphinx and Dragon Pharaoh (Dragon Pharaoh is a character from MM3 if I am not mistaken)
 
Baadom (Inspired from MM6 Temple of Baa which was related with the Kreegans or the Devils if your prefer)
Alignment: Evil or Neutral
Might Hero: Fanatic
Magic Hero: Mystic
Creatures:
1st – Blood Sucker and Brain Sucker



2nd – Cobra and Royal Cobra
 
3rd – Ooze and Bloodstone Ooze
 
4th – Werewolf and Werewolf Leader
 
5th – Priest and High Priest

6th – Chimera and Dragon Chimera
   
7th – Mantis and Sacred Mantis

Grove (Inspired from the Dark Elves in MM8. I see it more as jungle fraction.)
Alignment: Good or Neutral
Might Hero: Elemental Archer
Magic Hero: Patriarch
Creatures:
1st – Couatl and Winged Serpent

2nd – Wasp Sentry and Wasp Warrior

3rd – Dancing Light and Will O’ Wisp
   
4th – Triton and Triton Lancer

5th – Fire Lizard and Salamander

6th – Waspwort and Venomous Waspwort

7th – Dragon Turtle and Elder Tortoise

Some creatures are neutral at the moment but the four elements were also neutral creatures before the Conflux, so using neutral creatures for future towns is nothing new.
After I read about the Forge, I was a bit surprised that NWC did not mean the Patrol Unit to be a creature from the Forge. It is in MM6 and MM7 and could be used as creature in the Forge (Patrol Unit and Terminator Unit as upgrade):



I think that the Forge has place in HMM3 and it would be nice addition in HotA. Forge and Bulwark could be arch-enemies and the Sword of Frost could be the way to stop the Forge.
I was changing the places of the creatures between the first three towns a lot and also some was dropped in the final idea. The latter could be used as idea for neutral units: Ghoul and Revenant (upgrade of the Ghoul), cockatrice, Magyar Soldier and Magyar Matron (female warriors from MM6), Cannibal and Witch Doctor, Rakshasha.

P.S. I want this to be clear. I have no intention to start a project and the third part is just an idea others could use. I prefer to see it realised in some form in HotA or other expansion not in mod. Mods are something which in most of the cases I don't like. The first two parts are just my opinion and I don't want to convince in something or offend anybody with it.

M&M5 - Darkside of Xeen...

I think the HotA team lacks human resources atm for any greater releases... I for myself would prefer a dessert town (its missing) it's also an opportunity to add some new stuff to the desert biome thats quite boring atm.

And "greater" releases are what exactly? There is no lack in resources on our side. The amount of hard-to-create content was quite big in the last few releases. And new towns will not come not because we don't have time for them, but because the game needs not the big shocking changes such as new town, but rather a bunch of smaller and more relevant additions/corrections.

Thank you for the correction. I've never played first five MM games so the information I collect is only from reading and watching some play videos. In fact today I decided that it could be better that in Keep 4th level creature to be Cockatrice and Stonegaze Cockatrice and the 5th level become the Wyrm and Great Wyrm. The Troll stays as neutral monster. After all its a raw idea which is changeable. I just wanted to let free this idea which bugs me for the last month. I thought that the names of some creatures are not enough for describing them and for that reason I gave some explanations and post some images. For example the Wyrm is a ground creature from MM6 and could easily be mistaken with the Wyrm (a dragon) form MM8. I don't think there is a need for another dragon in HMM3 and the beetle is probably not the best idea but I couldn't come with something better. I also think that a desert town is missing. For me Vori town would be interesting thing. The other two most probably are a bad idea but nevertheless I post them.

a new town is a shocking change? that s what every hardcore fan wants. new towns lead to diversity not change. a shocking change would be changing skill system, magic schools or creature "hierarchy"/alternative upgrades. i believe that h3 should stay the same [besides balances and all small tweaks it needs that make the gameplay more comfortable] and all it needs is new maps, creatures and towns [real content with new strategies to discover like we experienced with cove].

Umm no, not every hardcore fan wants new towns. New towns often forces you to reconsider all battle tactics and game situations so is not easy after a dozen of years.

Still, HoTA - with all its brilliant additions and tweaks would not be the force it is today or have the fame if it were not for the new town involved. And while probably overflowing the game with new towns isn't nessecerily a good idea - the impression you guys have made is that you want to be true to the original vision of the game as a whole... thus adding forge (something that had been planned to begin with) is more or less a perfectly natural next (im sure you'd argue its not a next step, if a step at all). Hota is the best thing that has happened to the entire heroes francise in a long time, and you have your thing, but please don't trump down how much a new town means to all the fans.
