I'm not a HotA member but as far as I know they have mentioned a campaign editor being in the works. Take my answer with a grain of salt though.

Would we be able to get some info on the near future from the hota team or do they not say anything for specific reasons? Cause I'm interested in what 1.4 has in store.

Some new campaigns for sure. Everything else for now will remain in pleasant uncertainty

In some future version, as was once announced, there will be some skill and probably spell tweaks. But not too soon. Current balance version must stabilize in players' minds before that

@ docent picolan: sorry it took so long for me to get back online(the trees have been done for 3 days now). i almost gave up on the trees, as i wasn't able to see much improvement with the clusters, until i stacked them appropriately on the map. after some minor tweaking after seeing some improvement, i think you will be pleased with the result. i wish i could have had this stuff done in case it was ok'd by the team to put out with HotA's add-on/mod.

as soon as i upload the .rar, i'll shoot you a link in hcm, docent. should only take a couple of minutes.

Wow, the skills & spells tweak update will definitely be what I'm longing for in this game

I'm also patiently waiting for release of the campaign editor - if that happens, I'm definitely making a campaign. Would be awesome to add multiple lose objectives (eg. either lose hero or time expires).

I'd look forward to seeing custom campaigns. You are the author of From the Depths of Hell right? Very interesting map although I must admit I never got past the hero with the dragons. I feel like I lost too many troops during the earlier battles. The rust dragons make short work of my sea dogs lol. I'll probably try a replay soon though.

i'm not sure if wikisend lasts long, but just in case; could someone notify docent that the trees i worked on are uploaded in a link i sent him? it may be a while before i'm online again, and i don't want to have to upload again, and have him wait another week or so until i can. thanks.

Also, because the suggestion thread is simply retired, and everyone ignores it, I had ONE LAST SUGGESTION. At the castle bar, could you please add some destroyed castles ?
I want it only as a decoration. The idea came from Fred's Patch, witch I don't know if it's compatible with HotA.

husham, 2 points:

1. the suggestion thread is for people who post suggestions in the HotA thread. whether the HotA suggestion thread is read or not, is entirely besides the point.

2. sal already stated that HotA isn't compatible with Era. so that means that my patch, which runs on Era, isn't compatible with HotA, and vice-versa.

Nice update... I apreciate every template/map update The dunes fit very well, maybe it would work for a new town in far future...

For the female debate... maybe a nordic town the vikings, valkyries and grendels could be interesting, at least in that culture woman also fought battles rarely. But as seafarers it wouldn't fit that much to cove, on the other hand that culture could be an interesting opponent in sea-fights/maps.

New skills sounds very nice... maybe it doesn't push eagle eye, scouting, first aid or scholar, but on the other hand, sometimes junk is junk... i like more complexity... and "new" skills sounds nice, or is it a "rework"?

Hota 2.0?

I love HOTA man!Its like heroes 3 complete with better graphics and stuff.I really like when the mobs on the battlefield move not only when it is their turn.It makes it realistic!Anyway are there any news for hota 2.0?I am waiting over a year for the new town(s).Ok thats all.Bye!(Sry for my bad english)

Because I saw that somehow, you could create the same objects for different things. Alrighty, alrighty, I NEVER plan to play ERA. Well, I would use to play sometimes for fun, but instead, HotA has more thinks better then ERA.

Now, let's just let the fate decide what happens. (Let's just shut up if we say bad things, and when I say WE, I mean ME)

Hi everybody,

First of all i would like to congratulate Hota team for your fantastic work. I am a Heroes fan and i especially like Heroes 3 since so many years.

Hota seems to be a part of the original game. It merge into the game with great talent. All is good, new graphics, new town.

If i just can suggest tow little things for the future. It would be very nice to find Giant Spiders as a new neutral creature, it could be a strong and fast creature with paralyze or poison capacity.

And we can imagine some map decorations with cobwebs, like lands with cobwebs, dark forest with cobwebs. It's just an idea, i am sure this is not a priority

And one other thing concerning the balance. I don't know if i am the only one but in my opinion inferno/evil castle is very less strong than the others. What do you think about changing a little bit the balance to improve inferno units ?

Once again thanks a lot for Hota.
