I can't seem to make it a full month without the game crashing and sending me to my desktop. I have Heroes 3 complete and downloaded HotA and threw it in the Heroes file and now I am at a loss as to what to do. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated...{edited} After having read this entire thread it would seem that more people than I are currently having this problem. I have further looked at the problem and the game shuts off without any error warning at around the start of week three. During the AI's turn on Week-3 Day-1 or 2 the game will suddenly turn off...This as well is my first time using a forum ever so I have no idea how to upload the 3 crashlogs I do have in my files.

Another crashlog
Crashed suddenly during human player's turn. I think it happened when I hovered my cursor over pirates dwelling, but that might have been just a coincidence.

My BS sensor is tingling again

In change log, it says New Hill Fort that upgrades creatures between level 1-5. Is this an alternative Fort Hill or does it replace the old one? Will we still encounter the old Fort Hills?

Old Hill Fort is still available. + There is a new skin for snow terrain.

Those whom keeps crashing, are you using HD mod? Maybe it would be good to know. I use HD mod and it never crashed to me.

So let me recommend the HD mod to you. It does not change gameplay yet enables widescreen resolutions, introduces highly appreciable interface extensions/simplifications, removes annoying peculiarities and last but not least, as far as I can see, improves game stability on modern OS.

It's a new hill fort (in the adv map is made of wooden). Look, next to the Waterwheel:



Upgrades cost double though! (and you can find old Hill Forts, ofc)

I have installed the HD mod and now I am able to progress to the next turn without constant crashing during the green player's turn. With the HD mod installed, instead of crashing during the green player's turn, all objects around the green hero become invisible (but at least the game progresses further to the next turn).

Below you can see that the green hero - and all objects around him - are invisible during his turn.

Hi all again.

And it is hapend when pink AI player end his turn on a random map 8 players generated from game.

Ingame time is Month 3 Week 2 Day 2.
I am player green in this map.

ohh me too but i meet this bug in an early hd version, when i installed homm3HD 3.673f this patch fixed my game, when i load my save and the "invisible during" is discontinued, so invisible map parts looks correctly.

"instead of crashing during the green player's turn" try to step with your hero/heroes an another way and give up your turn to another players.

I must say that the first map of HotA's second campaign already showed it's claws It's hard to buy anything with only 1000 gold income, and AI is ruthless. After only a few weeks their armies are already 3x bigger then mine. This wouldn't be a problem, but their high stats reduce any chance of overpowering them (even with high morale and luck). I've managed to fight off one enemy army with just a handful of units remaining, and the same hero came back with another army, and 150 spell points, so he can simply "Magic Arrow" my whole army (I don't even have a Magic Arrow ). Seems I gotta change the strategy. Do you guys have any tips for this map?

You mean the map when you start with Cove vs Strongholds? Just start with heading west to conquer the town on the left map side and get Tavern. Then you need to control creature dwellings, since most of enemy armies come from them. Don't bother investing money into Cove (just 3 levels and nothing more) Quite easy map tbh, Crag Hack's ones from SoD are much harder

Yep, from my experience the best is "rush" to conquer 2 enemy towns ASAP.

In the next map you should also prioritize conquering one town very quickly.

And get mass haste/slow ASAP too.
